  3. Thanks! Yes I definitely think our team will start trying to get down there more often, and possibly to Bramley too if they run any more events there.
  4. But you made sure it was clear first … right? 😉
  5. Sorry to hear it! Never made it down but hopefully will the next one!
  6. I’ve had a spin through Google and the classifieds. As you’ve said it’s in good condition, but only has the one working magazine. I’d be surprised if you’d get more than £100 for it. One retailer has it new for £130 and it’s in stock at a few others. That said, I could be wrong! List it and see what happens!
  7. So depending on how heavy the rain is, the S95 jacket will keep you dry to a degree but I’d say they’re more weather- than water-proof. I imagine that if you’re running about then you’ll be warm enough with just the base layer under. If it’s gonna be heavy rain and you’ll have periods of not moving about much then it’ll probably be worth picking up a cheap cagoule in a ‘tactical’ colour 😉
  8. Yeah I’m really happy with my chest rig and belt combo. However, I’m off to UCAP Vendetta in a few weeks and am thinking about dusting off the plate carrier as I think it’ll be a bit more effective in the close quarters environment where there’s less kneeling down and crawling about. I can comfortably run 3-4 magazines on the front of it, and will probably just Chuck the remaining 2 on my belt.
  9. I know a few sites I’ve been to in the past have commented on it during the safety brief with a zero tolerance policy.
  10. Someone convince me not to buy a TM SCAR-L 😂

Buy it, use it, upgrade it if it breaks.

Also, the world needs more SCAR L's.

      Amen 👌🏽

Yeah I’ve basically sacked off the DMR project in my mind as tbh I can’t see I’d actually gain any advantage from having one.

… which means a slot has opened in the armoury to replace the guns sold to finance it 💁🏼‍♀️

  11. Really like the look of them but can’t justify one at the moment 😍😂
  12. Yeah I’d avoid Nuprol magazines like the plague, two of the team guys bought them for their rifles (G&G and ASG) and despite being told they’d work in any gun …. they did not.
  13. I’ve gone full circle, can’t underestimate how effective it is. Can easily carry 6 magazines, radio and bangs. Then just my Glock 19 and magazines on my belt.
  14. Yeah same, I’ve always found the standard of sportsmanship and gameplay to be higher than a lot of other places.
  15. I suspect, with that combination of belt and holster that there may be a bit more wobble/play in it than you would get with a trouser belt or molle set up. My reasoning is the belt looks fairly thin, and the holster is designed to have the ‘paddle’ sit inside the trousers to be more stable. However, if you did tuck the shirt in and run the belt through the trousers I don’t think you’d have the same problem.
  16. Neither did I, at the same time I didn’t hear any complaints of ‘hot’ guns so perhaps they didn’t have any reason to? 🤷🏼‍♀️
  17. Cheers for all feedback guys! Like I said we’ll see, if they struggle to sell I’ll split them down individually.
  18. Cheers! I’ve put them up, we’ll see how it goes!
  19. I’d suggest using a dremel with smallest cutting wheel to cut a slot and go at it with a flat screwdriver. Good luck!
  20. Contemplating selling my two Cyma AK74’s. They don’t get used and I’d like to fund an M4 DMR conversion without having to dip into the bank 😂 One is a 74SU, only used once by myself. Full metal with wooden hand guard. The other is a 74 ‘blue version’ with metal body but Magpul handguard and M4 stock, and with a woodland green paintjob. Both are in full working condition, chrono around 320-330 on 0.2’s. I’ve also got one hi-cap and 10 midcaps. Not sure what it’s worth, did a little bit of trawling the classifieds and Google and I was thinking £140-150 for each one?
  21. Thanks! It’s been there a couple of years at least, it does look as though they’ve given most of the buildings a lick of paint and re-done the rooms inside recently though!
  22. Thought I’d do a little write-up of this event that myself and my team attended last Sunday. I’ve played Longmoor a couple of times in the past and it’s a great site, with lots of potential for long-distance engagements as well as close quarters fighting inside and between the buildings. With this in mind we decided to book on and make a team outing out of it, 3 of us attending. It took me about an hour and a half to get down to Longmoor, and once there queued up with the other punters to be escorted to the car park area. Once there and parked up by the DS, it was a pretty standard get your kit ready and wait for the safety brief. I believe there was an indoor area that could be used for this but most people were working from their vehicles. There were good, clean toilets available as well and a shop although I didn’t visit it. Interestingly there was No mandatory chrono, although I know this has been covered in previous threads so won’t go into it. The safety brief was succint, covering the salient points and general rules. Maps, rules and briefs had been emailed out the week leading up to the event so we felt well prepared. This was one of Legions’ ‘Battlesim’ events, so once the game began there would be no breaks and it would be down to players to manage themselves as required. We had some initial objectives that would span the first couple of hours and once these were complete we would receive further objectives. Fairly simple and I’d say everyone pretty much knew what they were doing. We carried our kit (including ammo, food and water) out to our initial regen point and the game kicked off at probably about 1030-1100. We were split down into 7 callsigns, and as I had a radio programmed to the command net I took the role of RO as well as TL for my callsign. I won’t go into detail of every objective and engagement but it was a fairly normal ‘Hold building X until X time to score 100 points’ or ‘go and take the ammo crates to the helicopter’. This meant that things didn’t get complicated, and there weren’t many/any occasions where people didn’t know what was happening. From the safety brief we’d seen that we (Barbarian/Green team) seemed fairly well outnumbered by the Legion/Tan team which meant that we got plenty of trigger time with the enemy, but at the same time we were still able to move about some areas relatively sneakily/unhindered. As we entered the early afternoon it did feel as though some of the enemy had disappeared (gone for lunch/left) which made our objectives quite easy to take and hold. This isn’t a complaint, I’ve played long enough to know the game is what you make it so I made sure to keep in contact with our commander to keep the taskings coming so we didn’t get bored. In the last couple of hours there were a fair few big pushes from both sides with the patrol base changing hands a number of times, accompanied by lovely colourful smoke grenade clouds and plenty of pyro!! We actually held the enemy HQ until end-ex was called at 1700, despite numerous counter attacks and at one point taking fire from all sides. Did we enjoy it? Yes! Would I recommend it? Definitely! The standard of gameplay from our point of view was very high, and the coordination and teamwork from the rest of our team was also great. We’ll definitely be back in the future, and for anyone who wants a kind of milsim-lite experience I couldn’t recommend it enough!
  23. Had an absolute top day at Longmoor on Sunday with the boys. It was great to get back to such a fun site, and we managed to get in some sneaky woodland ambushes and building to building fighting. We did feel by mid afternoon that the opposing team were starting to throw the towel in a bit, which was odd because we were fairly outnumbered and I had assumed we would be the ones to get steam rolled 😂 It was the first time two of the guys on my team were having to use mid caps but I think it’s fair to say they enjoyed it!
