  1. @EDcase no I’ve used the short flexi ones and not had any issues. Range-wise we found that the radios will sometimes struggle if you use them in very built up environments over about 2km (possibly due to the UHF signal being reflected/absorbed by buildings, it’s been a while since my signals course). We tried to overcome this by using them in VHF mode; which works well for distance but not at close range. Depends where you’re using them I guess but I’ve had them 4 years now with the standard antenna and not found any reason to change it!
  2. No, there’s 5 of us on the team plus a spare and then 2 which I programmed to VHF channels instead. I use them outside of airsofting too hence the quantity 😉
  3. I’ve got a set of 8 Baofeng UV-5Rs that we use for events as required. They were cheap, very easy to program, there are multitudes of accessories available for them as well. Most of us run them with either earpieces or speaker mics, never felt the need to have an entire headset.
  4. Yeah they were my local shop for a long time, always been helpful and great service. Dropped them an email an hour ago and they’ve confirmed they’ll have some shortly!
  5. You know I was surprised to see that they weren’t on their website considering they seem to carry all the rest of the TM products …
  6. Can’t say I’ve ever noticed any significant wear on any of my TM pistols vs WE ones that I had; which did wear significantly.
  7. I suspect I won’t be far off going ‘green’ either! The MP7 will be the first step I think… we shall see!
  8. I know it’s not quite in London but I’ve used Airsoft Monkey in Stevenage and can vouch for his work. Like all good techs though, he does have a 4-6 week waiting list last time I checked.
  9. The pay check has landed but the shop with most reasonable price I could find it for doesn’t have it in stock! But you can’t see this until you try to add it to your basket 😬 Maybe next month!
  10. Yeah I reckon it’s one of the strongest kicking GBB pistols I’ve ever had! 😂
  11. Totally behind @TheFull9 on this one, I’ve got an E2 which is my back up pistol and hasn’t failed me once. I only use my Glock 19 more as I prefer the feel of it. I find the E2 actually has a much stronger kick than other pistols I’ve used, and with plenty of range and accuracy to boot.
  12. So I think that once the December paycheck hits one of these will be a present for myself! Cheers for the feedback people!
  13. Always had fun at Gunman Bravo, and never an issue with the semi-only rule. iirc they still allow full auto with support weapons, and I think the last time I went that’s what I was using. Can’t comment on the lunch as it’s new since I last went so will reserve judgement until my next visit!
  14. Always run a lanyard now after losing a pistol in a game about 6 years ago. For me it’s a must have.
  15. +1 for the WAS Universal holster, offers really good retention whilst still being easy to draw from. Might not be as easy if you’re running a suppressor but I’d say it’s a solid option. The only issue I can think of is I’ve heard they’re a bit hard to get hold of now.

  17. I’m local to that area, and not 100% there are any open that are close! I could be wrong, might be worth checking out RIFTS website and Apocalypse Airsoft in Royston?
  18. Been there done that, had a pair of their GBB G36’s about 5 years ago! Great fun but also massively overpowered.
  19. Yeah I guess you’re right! All good points, I just didn’t want to buy one and then find it was a terrible idea!
  20. Cheers people! I’ve recently (6 months) dropped from 140rd midcaps to the 80rd recoil mags, and tbh I struggle to go through more than 2-3 in a half hour game as it makes you think a lot more about what you’re shooting. So even with only 40 in the MP7 mags I reckon I should be good. Definitely food for thought!
  21. I’ve been eyeing up a GBB TM MP7 to use as a light primary weapon, I’ve read some good reviews but just wondered what peoples views were on here with regard to using them on a woodland site with generally longer engagement distances than CQB. Simply put, am I going to be able to hit targets at 40-50m with it or am I better off saving it for CQB/not bothering?
  22. Might it be wise to buy now before prices go up? 🤷🏼‍♀️
  23. I believe Only Airsoft in Stevenage may have some, their website doesn’t show any but I’d give them a ring as they sometimes have stock in store but not online. 0800 0062020
