  1. Yes, it is quite peculiar that we have any airsoft retailers at all. We have what, 1-2 retailer per 1000 players? Still, without them VCRA would have done the sport because of all the ***RIF RIF RIF*** people.
  2. Afraid I don't know, I've never actually held a hi-cap.
  3. If you're going to run a hi-cap backup with midcaps, make sure it's full so it does not rattle. Depends on the gun, mid cap sizes vary, can be over 200 though.
  4. Try the Mall in reading as soon as possible too, for the sunday game there's lots of trains out of Paddington to arrive in reading before 9am.
  5. I guess you meant a proper airsoft gun. Honestly two tone is hardly a big deal, its the best way into airsoft, the resale market is a LOT higher as you can sell to non airsofters. Two-tone airsoft guns are no less proper, this isn't WH40K, while i imagine a red gun probably will shoot faster, all the other colours will not make it shoot less effectively.
  6. I'm sorry, what on earth are you talking about?
  7. Is this completely correct? Little confusing.
  8. Know your rights, don't settle for BS. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/return-faulty-goods/ https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/somethings-gone-wrong-with-a-purchase/claim-using-a-warranty-or-guarantee/ Don't forget charge back too.
  9. You don't want repairs, you want a replacement on the warranty. RIF/not-a-RIF is entirely irrelevant to you and the law in this situation. You have not committed a crime, likely they haven't either.
  10. http://www.thegaolevents.com/booking/ Never been, but is close to my home so will try it soon.
  11. Maybe if you don't answer duck, people will find the search, perhaps someone should do a thread of threads on airsoft batteries... All that said, your help was much appreciated in the questions sticky. Good stuff, i usually charge my lipo after a game, guess i got to stop. :)
  12. Some retailers will add players to the database without their ever having played a game at a ukara registered site, AFAIK the retailer does check up with that site, but in the end money talks.
  13. I store all my airsoft gear in the same place, except batteries which are on a different floor, being in safe wont stop the springs discharging if something were to break. I do try to make sure the nozzles are forward. I do set the mechanical safety in my GBB TM G17 though just incase someone were to pick it up while i am out and not realise it's more than a 'prop'.
  14. Anywhere with "bb" in the company/domain name. There's plenty of good advice in this thread.
  15. With all the inferences you've chosen to include, not sure he's the only idiot; you've called him an idiot after including at least two "facts" which you've 'made up'. For shame. I agree, ultimately the fault is with the guns owner if the person that picked up the gun was not legally an adult.
  16. You will need some kind of eye pro, (especially indoors), fyi. When it comes down to it, it's all about money, anything you want in two tone you can get in two tone, if they don't offer a gun in two tone, email them, if still not, email another firm.
  17. Where are you from, and have you tried asking your local authorised airgun/firearms dealer if they can get what you need?
  18. Is the battery below suitable for my CM18 stock tube? http://www.landwarriorairsoft.com/batteries-bbs-gas-chronographs-c5/batteries-c62/7-4v-1450mah-25c-stock-tube-lipo-p3192 I'm in a different county to my AEGs atm, cant measure it, I've replaced the crane stock...
  19. Well your distributor was not wrong on general practice, but it's not a legal restriction, at least not yet. You can probably see that this legislation in it's current state contains contradictions which make it very difficult to enforce, but the thought is there on the lethality thresholds (assuming eye protection). If you were able to modify the gun's component balance, couldn't you find a way to make it refuse to fire when presented with voltage other than 7.4 and 9.6 ? I've actually never seen a player clutching or claiming to use a 11.1v battery offline. AFAIK its mostly 9.6 NiMH‎ and 7.4 LiPo.
  20. I figured L2Read would be offensive. You can write whatever you like. The fact that there is currently legislation going through our Parliament at the moment is all the proof you need that your distributor is fully of sh*t. Still, its really good that you're willing to optimise your goods for other markets. Might I ask, generally 11.1 is the least common voltage I have encountered in use, are you saying that you put in the 20K motor on the off chance that if someone applied a 11.1 battery the gun might not operate as expected? Wouldn't it have been easier just to say "do not use with 11.1" rather than making changes?
  21. I wonder why DMRs are not allowed, with modern technology you can lock out the trigger for longer than a BASR.
