You can ask whatever price you feel is right, the ballpark figure would be 60-70% of the current new price, more if it's unused. Place an add & if it sells great, if it doesn't then rethink the price.

My brain automatically read that as "Taser" instead of "Traser" and I thought bloody hell that'll get 'em to call their hits ?

  7. Thank you for the heads up, its one thing to recognise the dodgy pm's, but out of the 4 members he targeted, you were the only one to raise the alarm, without that he'd be free to keep sending pm's until he got lucky, especially targeting new members.

Just seen this beauty on ProAct, looks lovely and at a good price too (Of course it'll need importing) https://www.proactstore.com/products/vfc-l403a1-gbb-fde?fbclid=IwY2xjawMISvNleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBicmlkETFpQnpFaWowV1BybDVkcWllAR6m4lD2cdw5-YthKei7E-amlZphBRopYm_0N-wWFMnsekCgbtQ2NPzpN8DfOA_aem_xZyQBxjW-klDHKPL_TVLRA Guess it's about time I bought a modern VFC AR ?

    Brushless motors

I remember back nearly 20 years ago now my dad making a big deal about the new brushless motors for his RC planes. Obviously for that having a lighter motor is a huge improvement

    Brushless motors

Not sure their advantages in Airsoft as like you I've been out of it 10 years so catching up my self. But I can say brushless motors will definitely run a bit better with more torque and in a slightly lighter package, it's like the move in power tools from brushed to brushless, 20 years ago brushless drills where a niche on the market but their potential was soon realised and within 10 years they took over. I imagine in Airsoft they'll offer fewer advantages as end of the day lower torque motors aren't the end of the day.

    VFC KS-1/L403A1 GBBR

Better off just importing it to be honest, I suspect the only 'stores' that will import it to sell here, will be the ones running out of their basements and slap arbitrary 70% markups. Scratch 70% percent, been informed the wholesale price is about 70% of what proact are selling it to normal customers, so thats more than 100% markup.

I'm buying one when I have the funds, it fixes most of my issues with the VFC platform in one foul swoop. No guide hop bullshit, using the hop setup from the MCX's. One piece steel outer barrel, instead of the segmented bullshit held together with grub screws (something that WE managed to do as standard 15 fucking years ago). Steel BCG and FCG as standard.

    T238 Nano Traser

The Nano tracer, as the name suggests, is the smallest traser unit made by T238 measuring 23mm by 53mm, making it roughly the size of a C cell battery and perfect for pistols and SMGs. Retailing at £30 I wanted to see if it's as good a bargain as it seems. It comes boxed with a very short charging cable and an adapter to fit 11mm pistol muzzle which brings us to me making a boo boo. The traser unit has reverse threads and after checking the fit of the adapter I accidentally tried to remove it turning it the wrong way with a pair of pliers for extra grip. I didn't put much pressure on it and the whole 11mm threads snapped off. This is 100% my fault but does make me question the quality of the metal used for it to break so easily. Fortunately I was able to get the thing off and fitted it to my MP5K. It has shake to wake with a cut off after 20 minutes of not moving. Oh and it also works with red traser bbs. In both testing and use in game yesterday in worked flawlessly with every bb being lit up brightly making it easy to adjust for any second shots Now the negatives. First there's the question of the strength of the adapter mentioned earlier. Next is the front and back end caps are both made of a frosted colourless plastic so every time the traser goes off the whole area around you is bathed in a blue light. I ended up covering them with gorilla tape to block it out but in the future I might take it apart and paint those bits. The last minus point is another small one. There's no master on/off switch so while travelling to and from site every time the traser unit moves it's switching itself on. Not a big problem but something to bear in mind. All in all I'd say it's a good piece of kit and at half the price of a Brighter C traser an option for those on a tighter budget 7/10 for now. If it does decide to play up I'll post it here

  23. I was going to start a new thread regarding home made targets, but I found this! My crude outdoor target box. Bed slates, paddling pool, thin foam insulation and a lot of screws, pins and tacks. Very crudely put together. Top slates are removable, stripped a thick paddling into strips and tacked along each slate. Some thin foam insulation at the back of the box. Doesn't look pretty, but I works!

  28. Skirmished my 416 today properly for the first time, oh myyyyyyy I don't care how skint I'll get I'm not selling ? I did some test firing with the gun yesterday just to check it would pass chrono, and it was bang on 350fps with 0.20s, no hop. And in spite of what I've said elsewhere it was actually very consistent. Maybe it had some silicon in the system before when I used Abbey Predator, but switching to Ultrair has cleaned it out? My order of Geoff's 0.40s don't turn up in time (thanks Royal Mail '1st class', delivering after 3 days or more used to be 2nd class, didn't it?) So I had to run it with 0.28s instead, and of course I've still got just the 2 mags and a speed loader. Well that worked out alright (in fact it adds some extra jeopardy and excitement to the proceedings!). The joy of landing a well placed single or double tap along with the recoil and loud banging and clacking of the bolt and general malarkey was just so tangible and rewarding I think the ambient temperature was up around 14 or 15 degrees C which of course helped immensely... the gun never missed a beat. I was topping up the mags like a mofo when in cover, but I stuck to semi only, and regassed between games, and it just kept on trucking. Accuracy seemed good, though not perfect... I'm not going to be hitting half a head peeking a corner at 40m, but it's good enough to make them duck out the way ? That might improve once I've got the heavier ammo in there. I did go back to The Stalwart (the Double Eagle m906) for a couple of the games, but while that's better at reaping 'kills' it was just not as fun. And I used a gazillion times more ammo in that relatively short time. Through the day I let some fellow players have a go. They all loved it. I love it. GBBRs for the win!
