  1. Arma 2 might be a better choice. Most people I know have it, and its quite cheap now if you don't. Almost everyone should be able to play it with a decent FPS, plus the uniforms and weapons are closer to our timeframe and a bit more realistic than the futuristic stuff in arma 3? Just my two cents
  2. http://www.goarmy.co.uk/military-clothing/hats-scarves/british-army-camouflage-skrim-head-camouflage-net-prod Depends what's more comfortable for you, under neath or on top of your hat are perfectly acceptable . On top may break up your sihoullete a bit more, and the brim of your hat will keep it off of your face. They also make good scarves, gun wraps and they're good improvised curtains for a fighting position or snipers den
  3. Get yourself a sniper veil. Very very versatile , can be draped over your bush hat to cover your head and shoulders.
  4. I too would like to see gun ownership made more accessible and self defence friendly but sadly I think now the UK has spent too long against the idea. I'm not sure when Dunblane happened but am I right in thinking it was mid 80s and led to the ban on handguns? If so, we're approaching two generations who have grown into adult hood without a firearm culture in the UK. I'm 19 and I haven't met a single person in real life who has the slightest clue about firearms. Whilst you or I would be fairly competent in handling them, I reckon half the people I went to school with would end up shooting themselves in the foot or something stupid. The self defence laws as you mentioned also handicap us greatly, after spending your life basically vulnerable if you then had the power to just drop a threat, I honestly would in the heat of the moment - so while that is a potential death who's to say I should have let them stab me then kill me? Bollocks to that. I remember parents buying their children stab proof vests to go to school in and play outside in down here in London. Is the UK really that much safer than the USA? Proportionately there are a load more people hence a load more crime , what do you expect ? They can't have police and cctv everywhere so there's more opportunity for crime than here. I can't see us suddenly having guns making crime rise. For one it would be guaranteed to fall if possession , manufacture etc were no longer crimes . I'd love to see us given the right to bear arms but I think it would be a very long process, starting with stuff like familiarisation with firearms safety from a primary school age in an attempt to bring back a firearms culture where people actually know what the hell they're talking about instead of " guns am bad mr media man tell me so and dem people died" I was on a security course today and the trainer who works part time as a uber driver to get extra cash for Christmas told us he had an executive from the BBC in his car. He asked him why the media only covers certain topics and pushes certain ideas. Unsurprisingly he was told there's someone at the very top who says what news goes in, and what news goes out. So much for free press eh? The government doesn't want us to have anyway of rebelling efficiently , it goes against their own self interests of keeping power. As an example , we were told to all close our eyes. He then said " if I say terrorist, what image do you see?" Personally I must be an exception because I just saw the black of my eyelids because I'm aware anyone can be a terrorist as it's simply a word for someone who imposes terror on another and is therefore subjective , but the rest of the people all said stuff along the lines of, Osama bin Laden, beards, turbans and Middle Eastern people- that's the image they've been given for the past 16 years or so.
  5. I need to get some sleep, read the title 5 times before I realised it didn't say homophobes. Was expecting a totally different thread lmao
  6. Poke holes and seal joins with pvc tape?
  7. I've seen two condoms being used to waterproof a mobile phone. First one goes over the botto, and tied in a knot at the top. Second goes over the top and died in a knot at the bottom. Obviously you probably won't want to run about with condoms on your gear but it's an option if it really is bad rain lol
  8. Any air brush artists amongst us? Looking for a quote for a future project

Was just about to suggest Lozart when I saw above post. Seen a few pics of his work, some very nice stuff. Wish I could do it but dont have enough colours in my crayola art station.

  9. Been mulling this over and if each person in your section brings packet of Pringles , you can not only have a jolly good munch but with some duct tape create a tennis ball mortar out of the tubes for fire support on the move. Improvise, adapt and overcome lol
  10. Legit? I'm about 5 minutes from you mate , five ways. Small world lol
  11. I'm in South East London but would try and drive down for a woodland game if I could get the weekend off
  12. The American MREs? Thats better to know i can get away with two a day, was dreading carrying like 12 or something for the likes of berget. Any recommendations on what menus to avoid or seek out?
  13. Yank MRE's come with flame less ration heaters you just put a little bit of water in and they take up no extra space really. Soldier of fortune do 3 MREs for circa £21. They say for a soldier doing physical activity in the field you should have 3 a day so they're like a whole meal but you should be okay get away with the three and maybe some extra snack stuff
  14. Girls breasts are a bit more sensitive almost like our balls so it hurts to be hit in them and can cause breast cancer. I know in paintball they were passing as shots can affect their ability to have children and feed them or something like that the Marshall said
  15. Paintball sites usually give chicks padded vests, should be able to get hold of one of them ?
  16. In addition to my suggestion about letters and inspired by Stevils post, you could always try writing letters and journal entries then just put them in a box under your bed or a small safe if you have one. Later down the line , read them and see how you felt now and the progress you will have made . I was clearing out school books from when I was in secondary school and sixthform; reading things you've wrote like essays and stories even can trigger good memories and show you how much you've developed as a person
  17. If we've learnt anything from this thread sacarathe is very good at finding out who you are and is set to replace Liam Nielsen in the next Taken movie. Also, you're wife is no longer the only one who knows about "that" mole. sacarathe knows.
  18. So he's not a racist but dresses up in SS regalia and tweets racist jokes, albeit reworded ones to it more suitable to his local area. Seems legit. Also, moaning about a 32 hour work week? that's just over 6 hours a day if he does a 5 day week, Primary school kids do that much time in school. Lazy bastard
  19. Letter writing can be a good method of communicating mate. Sounds bizarre but with subjects such as this it can be difficult to talk in person if you get choked up or if you're not good at talking on the spot. Open communications to your mum with a letter , let her know how you feel and that you don't want to upset her, explain the letters as a way of consolidating your points clearly and as an opportunity to fully take in an appreciate what the other person is saying without the pressure of a face to face conversation . Ask her to write one back in response. You don't even have to talk about the letters face to face, just designate a place like the kitchen table to leave them You may find it helps you know how to act around each other if you know what the other is thinking. Feel free to PM me if you ever need a pal, depression sucks hairy balls , it can be tough!
  20. Tidy bit of work there mate. I still stick my knife in whatever gaps I can find on my plate carrier which results in me dropping them a lot lol.
  21. Apples and oranges. A poor farmer boy conscripted into the soviet army VS a die hard Nazi fanatic in charge of concentration camps (directly so, not by nation affiliation )
  22. Are any of these US parcel forwarding companies like BongoUS which give you a U.S. postal address to get stuff sent to then charge you to forward it to you legit? Got a feeling my stuff may just end up stolen but a lot of US surplus stores won't ship internationally

Used to use Aramex (Shopandship, specifically) a lot. It was quite good for forwarding and they cove a lot of countries. Thing is, I think they don't allow guns or gun parts. Surplus should be fine though.

@jedi - it's some rather large bulky items like a set of webbing I'm after , so I'm worried about the shipping ended up costing more than the items if they decide to use the U.S. postal service, @ I'll bring some 550 cord to the next game , tenner for 20 lashes, fill your boots lol. @ proff thanks for the tip mate I'll check the, out

  23. I find them equally as much arseholes if I'm honest . They're a bit more understandable in the sense the majority of airsofters portray modern special forces and that's their modern enemy. As has been noted this would be more suitable at a ww2 event apart from the fact he's not portraying a combat look. He's portraying a death camp guard unit... It's also worth noting most of the jihadi load outs are found usually only at milsim a and are a bit of a "oh someone needs to be op for so ill stick on a funny hat . Cape and use an AK" rather than " I'm harbouring racist views or want to be offensive so I'll construct an accurate uniform which has no place on a battlefield anyway and say it's okay for me to wear it because airsoft"
  24. But this load out has no place on a battlefield. It's not portraying the waffen SS who did the fighting. Even if it was , it's a dress uniform, not very practical for fighting in. The SS portrayed here were the ones responsible for the atrocities . And they were all die hard volunteer Nazis unlike the regular army who were conscripted. And the devil being in the detail , isn't that the deaths head insignia on his hat ? ( literally the unit responsible for death camps and the final solution shit?) In my opinion you're trying too hard to be an edgy cunt and push the limits of freedom of expression. I would rather airsoft not being associated with these kind of people - it's already embarrassing enough explaining what I do on weekends EDIT: googled the totenkopft insignia and it appears to be the 3rd SS panzer division so I was mistaken about the waffen SS bit. The unit portrayed still committed war crimes though, and it's still a dress uniform so I still think you're a bit of a prick EDIT 2 : more Google confirmed I was initially right, concentration camp guards, who also were use to form the 3rd SS panzer division . Initial point reinstated
