  3. something like this maybe? I used them on my boots in the snow. Fiver a pair
  4. After finding myself unable to scale some hills last week I decided to investigate footwear options. Does anybody use cleats or football/rugby boots? Can you share the good and/or bad points? I couldn't get up a few hills but also slid down 2 or 3 too boot ( not a pun).My normally superb boots let me down and as I lack the reflexes of a cat now chances are I'm going to land on my face or ass sooner rather than later. Should I opt for "different" footwear or avoid hills altogether, many players struggled BTW. TIA.
  5. Had this for years, not something I'm likely to use. Is this something anyone on here would be interested in? If so, how much is it likely to be worth please? Just realised I put tomorrow's date on it, hope that doesn't break the rule as I've just put it back in the attic and put the ladder away. Thanks.
  6. well i was at this game and on the US team playing in the special forces team most of us where new to the site and not airsoft or Milsim, we play together atleast once a month at a 24/36/60 game and often play at night, in hilly enviroment and woodland the VC/PAVN/NVA guys on the saturday did put up some good ambushes as we roamed around trying to be ambushed as per our tasking, sadly the VC/PAVN/NVA guys strong in spirit didnt talk to each other during a fight and got flanked very easily they just seemed to be a gathering of indviduals rather than a team that could work together to overwelm another team, for example they stayed in bushes and waited for someone else to start shooting at us rather than say wait till there close and we'll all pop up at once (keep this in mind) it wasnt your low numbers it was (prepare for cringe) your tactics that let you down as we proved 8/9 organised and experianced players can smash 8/9 unorganised players that have no experiance together Spawn camping? we held our hands up we crossed at the checkpoint when we contacted you guys and josh had a word and we cleared up a miscommunication, the second time we looped around site to firebase circile for a tasking which we sat on for 5 minutes and josh pulled us back in your use of a sniper rifle is very very limted at that site due to the main points of interest being a clearling of no more than 30m x 30m so like you said usless and maybe you got a little sour you where getting clipped by an M60 or stoner than can full auto with no MED, i was the M60 gunner and stuck to the 1 second rule by saying Mississippi in my head while firing and i did spread my fire left and right to maximise "surpression" in bushes and possible hard cover posistion so my guys can fan out and flank, we countered ambushes by splitting into two groups forming a basic L shape which worked very well, other times we simply had the drop by being quiet as possible "not calling hits" now if you are the person i think you are, i remember getting hit by your sniper and thinking it was a twig dropping from the tree, i barely felt it and made little to no sound, this was by the mortor pits, i only relaised it was a BB when i saw your head and rifle aiming at me and promtley raised my hand and called it, maybe use heavier weight BB's or increas the FPS? and have you played airsoft before? people moving through bushes, to and from cover running struggle to feel singular hits especially on thick cotton M56 webbing so you disadvantaged your self in this case by using a sniper rifle at range its a shame you didnt play sunday, i assume people leaving due to the medical condition "Butt Hurt" VC/PAVN/NVA had low numbers, we offered to Josh we would swap teams, he was thankful we did, we had a steller time on VC doing ambushes and giving the US and aussies a damn good thrashing and capturing one of there guys, we used a NVA whistle to draw fire to a direction with less of us so our other half can flank and hit them blind sided while shouting GI GO HOME, YOU GUNNA DIE GI etc personally i think you would of had a better time renting an AK after realising the sniper was a bad idea, sounds like a skill issue aswell we made uncle Ho Chi Josh proud on sunday and after the event he had no complaints and we had done nothing wrong even with multple player marshals watching us

  8. Nope, there's plenty of metal bodied TM and WA guns That said, it's often zamak rather than alu and definitely not steel.
  9. I thought Japanese law on replica guns meant they couldn't make metal bodied guns without getting their pee pee slapped
  10. I've been doing a lot of reading and experimenting with different methods of carrying gear, and I would advise you also try different things to see what you like. What works for most people may not work for you, or it might. I've now got two belt kits that I tend to go for (well, three, but one is only for period loadouts!), and I only came to the conclusions I came to by experimenting with different styles and seeing what I liked and what I hated. One is a supplementary, lightweight belt kit. I can run it solo if I really want to and only if I'm using my m700s or SRS, but it's designed to supplement my plate carrier or chest rig so it will generally struggle if I run it solo. The other is an LBE setup with a harness. It's designed to run solo, with no chest rig or plate carrier and carries everything I need on it, with a backpack to supplement with more water, gas and BBs. I do need to revisit it to attach comms to it, as my radio pouch is currently on the back and I don't like that, and I need another PTT as my other two are firmly threaded into my chest rig and plate carrier... Hmmmmmm... What I will say though as a general warning, especially as a larger gentleman (I, too, suffer with it and just got back from a session of trying to sort that issue), you don't want to put too many mags on your front on your plate carrier. I use single stack mag pouches on my chest rig and plate carrier both, and use the belt to hold the extra mags to keep me at a fighting load, because I use GBBRs with 35rd/20rd magazines and I'm an immersion nerd (6 spare mags + 1 in the gun is a US standard load of magazines). If you double stack mags on your front, it's fine as long as you never go prone. Prone with a gut and double stacked mags sucks
  11. Nah this community is awesome. I started getting serious about airsoft about a month ago and found this place because of the classifieds but have been branching out into the forums more. Every post I have made has had great people reply and offer advice or assistance. Even for silly newbie stuff like having a combat belt on the wrong way........... Galvatron has been amazing helping with some P90 advice. I feel like your older topics were just soo niche that no-one knew how to answer All hail the cul.. I mean community
  12. Magpul STR or clone of.
  13. It’s now been relisted with different photos but saying he’s after an appraisal etc. Still says it’s a TM metal body…. Anyone recognise the sticker on the bottom of the pistol grip? He also says it’s been to a shop for servicing at least once.
  14. Hope you enjoyed the rally! I don't blame you either for that; it's a lot closer for us, but it's still a 2 hour journey with traffic on the M25. I thought the cajun game was in December? There was a guy trying to get interest for it and we're thinking about it, but I don't think we'll make it for this one. I have my driving test in December, so if I pass (I really hope I do, because if I don't I probably won't get another test until May) then I'll have a lot more freedom to just say "screw it, I'm going" There's a few filmsims I want to try out at Gunman, so when I have my license you might see more of me at these events.
  15. Same, I still have it (old version, silver with red wheel) and it wouldn't fit any of the AEGs I had at the time... Be careful when picking hop units, due to tolerances and shit you may need a different nozzle or to make a few spacers.

  20. Bit faff this one. Probably 15-20 years ago I had a warrior assault systems od 901 with built in mag pouches ( similar to the weesatch)and after I got rid of it I had a TAS 901 exactly the same in Cb .. Fast forward to the last month or so been looking for another set. Turns out the 901 does not have built in mag pouches 🤔 ( fecking did I had 2 and remembered it listed in shops ) Anyway seen this so called tas "vest" on ebay .. so made sure to grab it. Hidden in the small print in a bunch of text was " no belt or straps).. 🤬 it's literally just the front panel lol and to rub salt in all the bungees are perished.

  22. So after the disappointment of buying what I thought was a Cyma A4 and it being a WE AEG parts build I figured I'd just suck it up and buy one new Bought the last one in stock from Super5ives, it arrived with only one screw for the heat sink in the pistol grip which was a bit annoying but an easy fix at least. Now I know there's a reasonable priced PEQ replica the Peq-16 will be replaced ASAP 😂
  23. OK, thanks very much for all your help – greatly appreciated. Guess I'd better get on YouTube and learn how to solder wires together 🤭 As you say, failing that I'll try to find a tech to sort it.
  24. Jesus 😳 You'll need to replace that piece for sure. You should be able to cut damaged part out and then resolder the connector back onto the good wire. It'll obviously be a bit shorter though so make sure you will have enough wire in place before the snip, if not then you'd need to strip the wiring and rewire an extension in and then protect it with shrink wrap. If you do the latter then make sure the wire is the same as the perun such as gauge otherwise you may run into issues (I'm not 100% on that as I've never done that but best to keep everything the same as it was!) If you're not sure on the process, it should be a simple and (hopefully) cheap fix for a tech
  25. Ah, I think I've found the issue ... the black wire from the Perun to the battery was slightly damaged so i bodged some electrical tape around it. I've just checked it and it's hanging by a thread 😕 Sorry if it's a dumb question, but can you suggest the best way to repair this?
  26. Interesting, I'm planning to HPA this one and I know the Maxx units are hit and miss when it comes to nozzle alignment.
  27. Yeah, it can be triggered by something as simple as holding the trigger down when you connected the battery or something like dirt/debris on the magnet. Best (And easiest) bet would be to open it up and check around the trigger area and see if anything has moved and recheck your positioning. You can also diagnose with the case open which will help too. A while ago a friend had an issue with his Perun and he had a shorted wire which had damaged the unit and that was also throwing up the purple light iirc - But fingers crossed for you that isn't the case 😂
