I'd personally get a VFC GBB version. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which is EXCELLENT, I love mine

From looking at the video it seems like this particular model has no carry handle, G1 style handguard and the imperial/L1A1 gas block.  So a bit disappointing in some respects.

Out of curiosity if you had to pick one between the VFC FAL and the G3? Which would you choose?

While i don't have a FAL to compare i do have a VFC G3. It's built like a tank, really solid with a really nice feel and operation. Mine's used and unfortunately it's totally inconsistent and needs a thorough once over.

Obviously the only correct answer is to have one of each. My dad had an FAL before they were banned, so it'd be nice to have one as well.

That's a very nice looking build. On the G3 front, surprised no company ever released a ready MSG-90.

One day i'll get round to actually getting it running right. For now it's a wall-hanger.

I think the MSG-90's just a bit too obscure. There's not enough G3 variant out there. I'd love an NGRS G3K.

It's a very impressive wall hanger anyway. Also seemingly I was wrong and Classic Army made an attempt at a MSG-90 in the past.

The G3 doesn't get enough love, would agree with you. Quite a few of the battle rifles deserve better airsoft equivalents.

I've looked at the FAL's that have been in the classifieds & threads like this one, and can honestly say I don't think I'd buy another unless it was an L1A1 with wooden furniture.

The SLR was my personal weapon in the TA & that's why I have one but don't get the same buzz from models of FAL from other countries, Never say never tho as I wasn't keen on collecting AR variants either & we all know how that went...

While walking back to respawn in the heat with my mate yesterday, i was thinking it could be time for some Rhodesian bush shorts and a tiger stripe camo FAL. 😂

I admire the dedication of those who pain their FNs in bush war colours, to be blunt the re-sale value will be obliterated.

Also another webstore that I have seen the KA FAL pop up, in this time European so they are getting out there.

And to be fair, the ethics of emulating Rhodesian Security Forces is, at best, controversial. Which is a great shame, as brush stroke camo is utterly epic.

Fair point on both counts. Had a set of Brush stroke pattern BDUs in the past, notice one or two players would be slightly "heavy" on their trigger pulls when I played in it. It's a lovely pattern all the same. Also far more easily available these days than in the past.

On the FAL front, will be curious as to whether the company expands their range... At the moment it seems to be only the one model.

True, but imo that goes for 99% of paint jobs

I've heard people openly bragging about doing similar things to players in ww2 German loadouts (Heer not SS). I've never understood the mentality behind it as unless they're actually saying racist crap then they're just playing dress up and there are plenty of other historical loadouts which it could be argued represent those who committed atrocities or war crimes but are given a pass

Classic army did an inaccurate msg90 aeg some years ago for a short while

They also teased a HK21 on one of the Social Media channels. Sadly nothing came of it.  Similarly LCT hinted it at a model in a YouTube video.

Perhaps at some stage in the distant future?

At least King Arms eventually restocked some of the FN line.

I wonder how practical it would be to do a coat of plasti-dip first, then accents on top of that.  In principle, it could be peeled off, although it might be a sod to get it all off.

FFS... I'm trying not to like it, I can see my bonus leaving my account quicker than it went in.

Could work for for a Rhodie FAL or a Lone Survivor style SPR.  The parts that are frequently handled would possible wear, although that may add to the character. For a Wall hanger it might be an ideal prospect. Food for thought, all the same.

If you do indulge, some feedback would be terrific.  Torn between this and waiting to see how long LCT's version will take to get to market.

I doubt my feedback would be of any real merit, I rarely game & when I do I tend to use my favourite used rifs, even my L1A1 is unused as it's too hot for my usual site.

Understood.  The L1A1 is an Ares model?
