Considering what's going on inside him, he looks really good.

Huge respect for him.

I'm new to the forum as I've only recently signed up to buy stuff from the classifieds (at Ollie's recommendation). I know how much of an impact Ollie had on the community so thought you all deserve an update, but I'm afraid that I've only got crap news. Ollie went into hospital at the end of last week for a procedure. Myself and few other friends from our school days went to visit from Norfolk anyway. Ollie's blood pressure was very low Saturday  and he had very limited bursts of consciousness. They managed to stabilise him and they were hoping to get him back home for Sunday. Unfortunately he continued to decline and when we rocked up at 11:40ish we where invited into his room by his family. Over the next hour or so we swapped stories about our shenanigans with Ollie over the years, and  at some point Ollie seamlessly transitioned from this plane of existence with a smile on his face surrounded by people that loved him. Ollie was very brave at the end.

Awful news. His love of the MWS helped push me into taking the plunge myself and I have never looked back. May he rest in peace.

Sad news if it’s true

@danbo666

Discord groups are reporting your post as “false news”

And associating it to links with a charity go funding scam

Any comment buddy?

Got a link to the chats in the discord?

I'm not on the discord group, but I was in the room with him when it happened so can assure you that sadly it isn't. I'm not related to the false gofundme (Ollie has decried any such things on his channel as well, there are no legitimate charity requests beyond the odd thing the chaps at pewhub raise), I'm merely the messenger.

It's still new news so I appreciate everyone's apprehension though. I've known him since school (which was f'king ages ago) and he truly is my best mate, so I don't want to believe it either.

EDIT- I just wanted to clarify. Pewhub have been raising money for registered cancer charities. DO NOT PAY INTO ANY GOFUNDMES OR OTHER SCAMS USING OLLIE. He hated those guys!

I'll not respond to any further queries as to avoid feeding the rumour mill. if anyone was at Ollie's last birthday skirmish and wishes to confirm that I'm a real person; I was the twat with the beard, long hair and leather jacket looking after his mum and brother.

I don’t know if you can post a link, but have screenshot the discussion thus far

I am not trying to discredit danbo666, if he has lost a good mate, that’s almost as bad as trying to scam people with Oli’s passing.

Having lost friends and family to “C” over the years, I can relate to how his close ones will be feeling

If you know Oli, I’m terribly sorry for your loss

Have peace that Oli had friends around him in his final moments, his smile will have said it all.

The Airsoft Discord 2.0 is also questioning its authenticity.

Not wishing to dismiss you, danbo666 - we have to be cautious with just 3 posts to your name where anyone can claim to know Ollie - but I'd rather wait to hear from Mike at PewHubTV or somebody else who has a known close friendship or relationship with him.

I understand too why Mike is unable to announce the very sad news right now and Dan has relieved my caution.

Damn, Ollie was open about the grim diagnosis and didn't expectations but it doesn't make hearing this easier. Having a decent chin wag with him at the Midlands Airsoft Fair and discovering we have somewhat similar professional backgrounds while nerding out about barrel and bucking combinations formed a bond quite quickly.

I can only imagine how devastating this is for his closest friends and family. Ollie's not only raised awareness of bowel cancer but done the most extraordinary job helping unite airsoft communities and create new airsoft fans. Fighting it as bravely as he did is something I hope I can do if I had to battle a terminal illness.

Rest easy, Ollie.
