Really? That's impressive. I was planning on using it for short range and AEGs for long. That's good news. Iain mentioned the bolt catch on the right side. Is there no way to fasten it in? Melting some solder on the back of it or something? Or would anything extra being on it block the bolt or something?

In a word, superawesomemagicfuntimehappiness . As much as I love my ICS, this thing, with it's lack of electronics and gears, is far easier for me to understand. I went for bog-standard internals (apart from the NPAS, and MilSpec fixing the pistol grip), my plan is to upgrade parts only when absolutely necessary. I've had to make some minor modifications to the bolt and guide-rods, as they kept getting caught on each other. 5 minutes with a round metal file, and it seems to work. The bolt release (square switch on left, above fire selector) is a bit fiddly, and can get warped with use. Hold-open catch (on right) is non-functional, and will break if touched (it's not actually held in place by anything) Entirely stock, it's giving me great range and accuracy, and a fairly consistent FPS of 300-350. Not the most reliable weapon in the current temperatures, but due to the accuracy & range, this is my out-doors weapon, while my ICS has been relegated to indoors/CQB only.

UKARA really can't do anything worthy of note, the most they could ever realistically do is remove JBBG as a member, but as Ian has said, JBBG are a big noise in UKARA because they make a lot of money, why would you kick out one of the richer members who when the shit hits the fan will be able to help with legal fees/lobbying etc?

Weird I've never had a problem with them but I heard all the stories of how bad they are and I would never trust them if I bought anything expensive, you're much better off purchasing from a proper reputable retailer. Now I've heard all these other things they've done I'm genuinely surprised they haven't been seriously investigated or shut down or something as they seem to be running things very unprofessionally and all the descriptions of things are either incomplete, the wrong one altogether or contain inaccurate / completely made up statistics. Not to mention that creepy bloke who does the reviews. Looks right like a paedo to be honest. Stood there with some £20 springer in one video and was like 'WOW. Oh...this has got to be...the best gun I've ever fired...I know I say it a lot that every gun is the best but this is genuinely brilliant" Stormhall's right though there are already about 20 threads on JBBG alone.

My gear for my MARSOC and SEAL loadouts.. This is the closest I've gotten to completely finishing a rig for a modern unit loadout but I know its not quite there yet. Overtime I'm planning on replacing some of bits to issue or good relica items where possible and I need to get a belt mounted holster. All the Pantac and Flyye is coyote brown and the rest is coyote tan For some reason the Pantac coyote brown seems to be coming up a lot lighter in the photo and the Flyye a lot darker than in real life. BHI mate, that's if they bother, you have to remember that most SF pick and choose their kit totally to personal preference, very little is physically issued, they have access to basically anything on the market, it's the same with their weapons, I'm trying to get you a couple of pics from the stores of a unit to show you exactly what I mean

I didn't even know you could buy smartphones so cheap! Good idea to use one for airsoft though. Might look into it myself too! Certainly does have some application. If somebody can get a team together to run with BattleTac on a cheap handset a skirmish report would be brilliant. I'll have to wait until at least after Christmas and when I hopefully can get my first job around the new year to buy anything airsoft related.

Im thinking about buying a cheap PAYG Android based smartphone to run Battletac and a few other things. There seems to be a few phones in the £40-60 price range with a 3 or 4" screen. The reviews for phones are not very consistent on sellers sites. Can anybody recommend anything suitable ?

Sadly I'm too sneaky for people to normally catch me 'in the act' during a game (nothing to do with Skirmish Exeter not having anyone taking photos, honest!), so I'm posing in front of some blue doors instead, there's a seriously operational bathroom behind one, and a huge cupboard full of gear and guns behind the other. Giving AOR2 a go for a bit, the shirt and trousers faded a bit in the wash which is a shame, will have to pick up some more when funds allow. Kitlist is as follows: Head: Olive baseball cap MSA Sordin Supreme IV (single comm version) Eyepro (if I were wearing it) would be ESS Crossbow Suppressor glasses with clear lenses Olive Shemagh Clothing: Allwin AOR2 Crye gen2 style combat uniform. Gloves are Oakley SI pilot gloves in tan. Belt is a Viking Tactics rigger belt with cobra buckle, it has a Flyye personal retention lanyard in case I ever need to jump into the back of a little bird quickly. Boots (not wearing them) are issue goretex assault boots, very comfy! LBE is an A-Two tactical LBT1961G replica, again in AOR2. AOR2 double pistol pouch for my belt, will probably move the flashlight down to these and fill the other one with a multitool, leaving the pistol pouches on the chest rig free for magazines. The look I'm going for here is sort of 'inspired by' NSW / DEVGRU rather than a hard impression (since I don't have anything like the money for that shit, the comms setup alone would set me back a grand!), any glaring errors/omissions that would make it look more super elite navy seal, let me know!

All those brands TacMaster listed are going to shrug off pretty much anything you'll throw at them airsoft wise. BULLE would be the best quality to cash-money ratio of the ones mentioned (IMO) but Warrior is more 'real world' use. If you can stretch as far as Tac Tailor you're getting in to pretty gucci territory, the fight-lite plate carrier is definitely in the pro leagues.

I recently bought a belt as I'm getting tired of pouches making my chest bulky. The idea is to keep mags only on my chest with spare ammo, drop pouch and anything else really on the belt. As it was a spur of the moment idea I didn't want to splash out on the belt only to find I didn't like the idea so I picked one up for £10. The size I got was medium but it's massive and mis-shaped. I'm hoping the shape of it will loosen up as it gets more used. As for the size I've managed to stick on some buckles and I strapped the back to vest so I don't have to struggle to clip it in every time I put it on. What'd you think, stupid idea?
