Started playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag on Xbox one last night. What a game! Honestly I've dreamed of a game like it since I was young and I'm completely enchanted. I've always loved the idea of going to sea.
Anyway - the song that's been maintaining my privateer enthusiasm!

Yeah, as you say, sometimes a show of force might not be a bad thing. If you ever go to Galway during the races (which you should, cos it's a great time, even if you don't like horse racing), you'll see the money being delivered to the town's bookies in an armoured truck (apparently it's carrying several million quid), and that thing has soldiers with rifles walking in front of it as it drives into the town, and that's Southern Ireland!
Ireland's a great country, I love it, but they're as mad as a box of frogs, not as bonkers as they are in Finland (which is also a great country), but pretty close

JamesAirsofterAgent reacted to n1ckh in black ops cribbs xmas game
Yesterdays xmas game (21st) was a hoot, certainly had some fun until I got shot by a team member, so I took it as an enemy hit and started back to the safe zone, I get tagged again 5 times on both arse cheeks, the bloke realised I was out and said "sorry, my bad) pmsl
In the afternoon, I was Santa (that was my costume for the day anyway) I was held hostage by the blue team
As 2 of my captors were busy getting through a hole in the fence, I took my chance, walked away then legged it back to my team, it was safe to say that no one expected it in the 1st few minutes and were stunned in what to do
My team saw me legging it and said it was hilarious to see a red streak just running
The last game saw me putting a present in at 5 objectives which we completed within about 10 minutes with next to no resistance as both sides were heavily engaged elsewhere
Both sides did brilliantly and I will always say 'expect the unexpected' never give a hostage an inch and always maintain control of them

JamesAirsofterAgent reacted to Bullet in What was your first ever airsoft weapon?
Well. Much to everyone's dismay mine was a JG BAR10. I still have it today and it is all I have ever really played with except one day with a rental g36c. Most say dont start with a sniper but I may be the only ever exception to the rule who actually stuck with it.

I realised there were 2 spellings but never knew that. . . thanks for enlightening me! Also "Whisky" comes from the gaelic word "Uisge", "Uisge Beatha" meaning "water of life".

I'm a Whiskey drinker, always have been. Plain and simple, (not that I advocate underage drinking but lets be honest most of us did it) even since I was young.
Being only 18, as you can imagine I'm exactly the stereotypical 50 something in a silk kimono sat in his study, but neither will most of you be; and it's dawned on me, I have no one to discuss whiskey with, nor do I know anyone else who drinks it!
So, what are you drinking, and how are you drinking it? Are you enjoying it? Would you recommend the drink? Give it a rating out of 10 and a bit of critique! Ask questions, let us know your usual and what you plan to try so we can help each other on our way to enjoying the finest the world has to offer!
Currently, I'm drinking Jack Daniels Old No. 2, neat with no ice.Somewhat harsh, don't know if it's been improperly stored or something but this particular bottle is nothing like any of the No.2 I've drank prior - but it was a present and I'd rather it be drank than go to waste. 6/10. Not the worst I've had nor the worst, good for a cheap dram.

I don't film indoors. Really don't want to break my GoPro- I know that it's unlikely, but you can never be too careful. I'll be using it as my main skirmish weapon from now on, and I'm going back to The Fort again in January, so I can get some stuff done on there.

JamesAirsofterAgent reacted to Airsoft-Ed in On Site Briefs.
I can appreciate a long safety brief, so long as it's not read out in an incredibly dull way... Longer ones are generally the mark of a good site in my experience, but I'm talking long whilst being consistently to the point without any interruptions, not long because people ask a million questions or the marshal is verbose and rambles.
Tac House are a good example of this, their brief must last easily over 5 minutes but it's well presented and you always get the comedy groans when he says it won't take long. I think it shows they're passionate that the site is run correctly and I have a lot of time and respect for them for that.
The worst briefs I've ever had have all been at F&O sites, because the marshals make it plain that anyone who does anything wrong, whether minor or major, purposely or accidentally is, and I quote, "a twat" and I just don't appreciate their attitudes at all. They are marshalling me, not minding me like a child.
That said, short, sweet and to the point is also good, but I do not take well to the 30 second exaggerated version of "don't be a dick" I want to hear an actual brief that's been written down and learned, not just some random goings over of things that save time to mention before they actually happen.
Airsoft sites are after all, businesses. I expect a certain level of professionalism, and when I don't see that, I black mark the site. If they aren't going to take my business seriously, then they aren't going to have it. It's all well and good keeping the rest of the day light hearted, but a safety brief needs to be serious at heart and my heart and mind can be won and lost over the presentation of it.
