  1. Nice! - Where did you pick these up from? Reapers out of stock everywhere I've looked!
  2. My recent purchases, invested in a launcher a couple of months ago, initially with a 40 Mike & Master Mike, not with the intention of close range activity but more with an aerial scatter bomb approach aiming up & letting the bbs rain down. Fortunate our local site does allow the 40's but using a 30m MED & sensible use Our monthly Milsim events has a team which likes to play defensive & dig in behind cover, so thought this could be a decent idea - opted for some tags as well to mix it up against the regulars with mortars Interested to see how they all work, if the 40's are shite then i'll stick with the tag rounds
  3. Hey buddy - Yes the dual tube FLIR, green as opposed to QS in this case 🙂
  4. Hey! - Someone posts a picture of their bare ass on here & it's the Forest Unicorn that gets the piss taken?! 🙂
  5. Hi all, After seeing someone post on here regarding AirsoftFaceProUK on Facebook, decided to take a look & invest in a couple of MK3 Snoods with integrated mouth guard for two different scenarios:- 1st was to compliment my night set up, opted for a skull cap over the usual fast helmet as I find these too clunky, however wanted something lightweight & breathable on the lower part of my face which equally gave me some protection against BB hits, the black snood w/ integrated mouth guard more than does the job as well as giving my large bugle (Nose!) protection 2nd was for my sniping set up, compliments a leaf hood & custom face mask, I used to wear a thick balaclava underneath this set up but was too damn hot, so again opted for something which gives me a lighter layer of protection whilst remaining light & breathable. Am looking forward to putting these both through their paces at a Milsim event next weekend
  6. Here you go mate, also have the Ops Core one as well - pretty much identical to the FMA:-

Haha! - Look at it as a long term investment, that's what I do in order to sleep at night!!!

Indeed will be worth it in the long run avoiding using a skull crusher for starters!! the head aches I've had from them rival an internal nuke going off!

Don't blame you mate - those things have no give whatsoever!

  7. Sourced mine via a supplier on Ebay, a couple of UK based companies also sell them:- https://www.odintactical.co.uk/crye-precision-nightcap-mount But you can definitely find cheaper elsewhere - Think I paid around the £70 for mine, shroud-wise I opted for a FMA jobbie:- FMA Helmet Accessories VAS NVG Shroud Aluminium Mount Airsoft Gear TB1253 - BK Hope this helps Thanks Mike Ah, here we go, much cheaper as well:- https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crye-Precision-NightCap-NVG-Mount-Cap-Black/232951207299?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Thanks Mike
  8. Hi mate, works perfectly fine without the counterweight to be honest - just wanted to distribute the weight better as some of our previous night ops have gone on for 4-5 hours continuous & was thinking about the longer term!
  9. Morning all & Happy New Year, few purchases from me, for 2019 i'm diversifying my playing opportunities. Plenty of events already lined up for 2019, we have x6 Milsim events at my usual haunt which i'll be remaining Op4, however am looking to get out to some single day events & buddy up with a different bunch of players so the obligatory NATO / Multicam has come into play. Have gone back into the plate carrier realm, after falling out of love with my previous carrier as it was too heavy & bulky, this time have opted for a WAS Recon which is lighter, slimmer & more accessible, few sensible attachments added - Triple elasticated mag pouch / single point sling, universal pistol holder, radio pouch & smaller hydration carrier. Have once again opted for Clawgear apparel - MKIV Raider trousers, an Operator shirt & a KD One molle belt. Also diversified my night time set up, up until now have been kitted out with a Pulsar XD50 Thermal Imaging scope, but as our local Milsim scene has evolved with different storylines etc. with some events ruling Thermal out, have invested in some NVG, here we have a set of FLIR BNVD-51 NVG. Had their first outing a few weeks ago & was highly impressed, exceptional vision at night, first time using nods as opposed to a Thermal scope, easy to get to grips with navigating & target identification. Worked well with a DBAL-A2 PEQ with IR pointer. Rocking these with a Crye Precision nightcap / FMA L4G24 mount & lanyard. Given i'm normally rolling Op4 opted for the cap as opposed to a helmet. Set up nicely now for 2019! Let's hope its a good one Airsofting-wise Mike
  10. Something a little different (but not so different!) from me again! - One month to go until the next Milsim at Apocalypse Airsoft - Theme for September & November will be the U.S. Army vs. NVA & Vietcong. Emphasis is a back to basics approach, so no Thermal / Green eyes & modern day tech - Just senses, hand torch & iron sights only! Currently in 2018 I've been a Russian, Sicario within the Diablo's Mexican Drug Cartel & now a Vietcong soldier, has made for an interesting year! BDU & trousers courtesy of Military 1st & everything else so far courtesy of EBay
  11. Thanks buddy - there were x12 of us all dressed fairly similar, we were all surprised how good the camo was, what with a decent couple of sunny day & a lush green & dense woodland it worked rather well, something none of us were expecting!
  12. Something a little different for me- local site, Apocalypse Airsoft in Kent had a 48 hour Milsim last weekend, theme was Police & DEA Vs. Mexican & Colombian Cartels. Have to say that this was the best Milsim (& most fun) I've attended within the past few years. I was on the Mexican (Yellow Diablo's) - Given the time out on the ground opted for something little lighter, WAS Plate Carrier & all attached binned off in favour for a WAS Battle Belt & back plate system, lightened the load considerably whilst still being able to take all essentials out with me. Yellow dress up kit was all EBay jobbies & all cost less than £30 WAS Battle Belt / sling system in A-TACS AU Marui 416D Delta AEG Jack Pyke Tundra Boots Hero Shark "Mako" mesh bins
  13. Clawgear stuff is ace, have got what you have but in A-TACS AU, pricey stuff but you get why you're paying that bit more with the quality of the kit.
  14. Hey buddy it was this one from Helikon..... http://www.military1st.co.uk/ko-cs2-po-40-helikon-combat-shirt-with-elbow-pads-a-tacs-au.html Although had to source this through a company in Italy. Was a similar scenario for the plate carriers, sourced from Europe ( I got the DCS & RICAS ones) as UKT didn;t have any stock & only manufacture when they have an order of x100 from the distributors :-0 The Clawgear trousers I also sourced from Europe, all of the pouches from UKT though. Has been a fun & trying week!
  15. Apologies for the orientation of the pictures - no ideas why they're appearing on the side!
  16. So have started to go down the path of saying goodbye to all of my ACU-Digital gear, which has served me well for the past 2 years now. Moving onto A-TACS AU, have attached a couple of pics of the new plate carrier, is a Warrior DCS 5.56 carrier, with x6 magazine pouches, x2 medium sized storage & the command panel, am awaiting on the hydration pack, separate water pouch (for Milsim use) & a pouch for the obligatory radio, all will be in place by the New Year. Have also invested in Clawgear MKIII Trousers with integrated knee pads & a Helikon Shirt with elbow pads, this is on top of the accompanying A-TACS AU gloves, balaclava, face mask, patches & a rucksack, has been an expensive month! Will post some pics of the full kit once I’ve taken stock of everything.
  17. Been on the spend again, this time we have..... A-Tacs AU Warrior DCS 5.56 Plate Carrier & Warrior Ricas Plate Carrier with full compliment of pouches A-Tacs AU balaclava New set of desert combat boots - having to retire my current set! Should have my loadout of A-TACS AU finalised for the New Year, just waiting on a few Xmas pressies to be finalised!!
  18. Have been on the spend again & bought the following few bits:- Red dot laser & zoom focus torch combo - realized after selling my NVRS & x2 accompanying PEQ's that I done myself out of a light & red dot Scope Dot Sight Lens Protector Cover Shield - Unsure how this will work with a Thermal Imaging scope but it's a coupe of quid & some more A-Tacs AU bits & bobs:- Chest Tapes Custom name patches Condor CBT 2 point bungee sling Punisher shield devgru patch Tactical Airsoft Hard Half Face Mask - Wanted to try something different as I'm looking to move away from the larger mesh variety Spend, spend spend! & then one last little pic of me in the full ACU Digital before I swap everything over for the A-Tacs AU
  19. Decided the time had come to change a fair bit of my existing kit, current gear was all ACU-Digital, appreciate it divides opinion but it's served me well for the past 2 years! Have now opted to go for A-TACS AU, so all currently on order as of today, has been an expensive week but you can't put a price on your hobby right?! All A-Tacs AU Trousers + Knee Pads / Top with elbow pads Warrior DCS DA5.56 Plate carrier mod combo - Additonal pouches etc. Hydration pack & tube cover Viper Special Ops 30L rucksack Browning Gloves Browning woolly hat Boonie Hat Mesh Face Mask Have made a rather large purchase earlier in the week & upgraded my existing Yukon Firefield FF16001 NVRS to a thermal imaging scope, purchased the Pulsar Apex XD38 - absolutely blown away by the quality of this being OLED & 50hz. Lastly for some shits & giggles - going to try something a bit different & have bought a Jack Pyke Leaf suit with obligatory matching gloves, hood & a leaf cover for my gun. Has been somewhat an expensive week but have been wanting to upgrade & change my gear for a while now, so has involved some serious saving, selling all of my older gear & some of the gear generously bought for me from obliging family members for Xmas presents so cannot have them til Xmas day!. Just a single picture of the only tangible thing that's been delivered so far! - But IMHO the best thing ;-)
  20. Picked myself up one of these recently, BTC Spectre for my TM 416D - Having it fitted at the end of the month, not too sure what to expect really, as I got caught up in all the hype but took a punt regardless!
  21. Welcome buddy - Did you go to Apocalypse Sunday 20th March? - if so I was there! & was on the Blue team How did you find it & get on? As others have stated, don't buy too much initially as you'll be finding your feet as to what works for you & what doesn't. Good thing about Kent is that we have a plethora of decent sites, my opinion is that you cannot go wrong at Apocalypse, huge site, constantly being developed with impressive structures & a very solid Head Marshal in the guise of Big Jon Davies who keeps everyone in line! Hope to see you around some time :-) Mike
  22. Latest picky of mine, couple of bits I've added as we've some night time skirmish scenarios coming up, have added the NVRS & PEQ, recently changed back to a stock marui grip but added the Harris style bi-pod in for good measure. Looking forward to putting the kit through its paces!
  23. Have previously sourced 0.25 Devil Blasters through Platoon Stores in Rochester Kent as a. they're local & b. they do a bulk buy which works out to approximately £7.50 per 3000 bottle. However as mentioned by previous posters, Ebay has been my friend with x6000 bottles of the 0.25 coming in at £15 + free postage, which is excellent value for money & I don't have to commit to buying so many of them in one go.
  24. It's a yes from me, most weeks we skirmish in dense woodland, so it serves a dual purpose for me whereby my noggin doesn't take any BB hits and I can happily charge through the woodland at full pelt when needed without the worry of tree branches etc. causing any facial damage. Appreciate that they're not for evryone though & as with everything, is down to personal preference of what works for them & what doesn't.
