Hey all! I'm still trying to sort out a decent pair of non fogging Goggles, Has anyone tried the Wiley X goggles? In particular the Spear or Nerve models? How do they fog? My local shop let me try the Nerve ones and they seemed pretty damned good although the real test is out in the field! I don't want to waste £80 on them. The Spear look like a slightly better shape too?

My T4 was my first gun and like you said, I WAS pissing about with it to the point that I just bought my TM Scar. What Sitting Duck says is correct though and I've fallen into the trap of buying a £500 AEG, £250 of mags then realized I prefer Sniping! lol... No way i'd ever get my money back on the scar so I'll keep it but it's money I could have spent on maybe another part of the hobby!
-
Yeah, I thought that way till I spoke to 3 other guys that had similar issues with their T4's. I have a feeling there's maybe a batch issue but as BrightCandle has told me for a while, he's been less than impressed. The fact that the G&G madcaps, don't fit (Without modification to the receiver) is a bit pi** take too!

I ordered some MP7 mags on the Friday, turned up Monday! How cool was that? Sometimes you get the option for express delivery which is worth considering, I also ordered some G18C parts yesterday and opted for the standard delivery. They reckon upto 20 days so i'll report back when they arrive
-
When the gun worked it was really good but I just couldn't find a mag that would feed reliably. If you're going to run hi caps then the one that comes with it is fine (Although it needs to be wound more than usual) but I prefer mid caps, G&G don't make mid caps that work with the T4, some people swear by the Mag brand ones, I used them and had real inconsistant feed problems, misfeeds etc.. others say different. I gave up, bought a TM Scar and the uber expensive PTS Pmags, never had one single misfeed!

I think we've had this discussion before lol I find the high arch support of the Salomons are perfect for my feet! I had the insoles but they kept sliding about inside my shoes plus I wore them through in a month! (Being a Postman I've walked about 9 miles a day for the last 16 years ). Funnily enough I told a friend about the night splints and they worked a treat for him!
-
I second that! I'm saving for my second pair to wear everyday! Salomon make the comfiest shoes/boots I've ever worn (I'm a Postman with Plantea Faciitis in both feet, saved my job by wearing these boots), only downer is that the soles are fairly soft so they'll wear quicker than most shoes. If you don't want to go down the waterproof boot route then I recommend the EXIT GTX Aero, I've had 4 pairs over the years and they're like wearing slippers! I think they've been superceeded but you can still get old stock online. Note: I do not work for Salomon lol..

Ah crap, yeah! Fair point.

Although you paid using paypal, did you fund it on a credit card? If so call them. Alt, you could always contact paypal and dare I say it.... lie! Say it was a modified HPA Nerf gun if asked, you have nothing to lose! If it somehow gets back to him and he tells them it was an RIF just stick with your original story! I know this is very bad of me to tell you this but it's your money and the guy's f***ed you over royally!

Hi, I have the TM G18C too, Firstly the Abbey gas is pretty much useless at this time of year as it freezes and just vents the mag on the first trigger pull!, I use WE green gas. It chrono's about 15 fps higher than 144 (265 fps with WE green compaired to 250 with 144) so you shouldn't damage the gun. (I plan to swap back to 144 during the summer months). I have 2 WE mags that I find are much better than the TM original mag (Fit better and seem to produce a slightly more snappy response). Yeah, you don't get that "Blow out" when it's full but you'll know as the nozzle will start freezing up Hope that helps

I know some people try putting a slightly stronger recoil spring in which sorts the problem but it also creates another problem in that the gas efficiency is less and the nozzle seems more prone to cracking. I'm hoping that it'll "bed in" over time -

Oh I love this gun! Also bought some WE Green Gas, Creation Nozzle and .3 Blaster Devil BB's Has anyone else had the issue with the charging handle not properly loading the first BB? On mone it only seems to work if you pull the charging handle back before inserting the mag, firing a "Dry" shot then it's fine! -

I had an issue late last year and tried to get paypal involved, the first guy I spoke to at paypal asked what the item was. I phoned again and the lady actually told me to essentially lie about it (off the record) but I explained that the first advisor had asked me, I think it varies from person to person. What I will say is that the best way to pay is via paypal backed by a Credit card, Visa insure RIF's with no issue! It helped me and I got all my money back. -
It's great having a proper photographer there but I agree it's a bit frusrating when they give your position away. I suppose it's a happy medium, if they wear camo then they'll get shot at, the hi vis singles them out but to be fair, i've had issues with Marshals doing exactly the same thing!
-
I've just bought myself the same gun (Should be here monday ) I spoke to fire support about the gas and they said it's more about the fps it can run. Also, I've bought to keep as a spare the creation nozzle kit. Obviously 144 gas just doesn't work this time of year so I also use WE Green gas which is perfect. They told me that the gun SHOULD be happy upto the 350 fps mark with the green gas and creation nozzle but it's a case of chronoing it on the day, if it's firing hot then use a lesser power gas etc.. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how you get on

What gas you running it with?
-
Ah right, Damn I bought the wrong pair
-
Can I ask what fan you use? I might try experimenting with some Revisions myself.

Here's the solution I found to be the best, I hate mesh but the good points outweigh the bad! The face mask is grip tied to the Nuprol goggles and then the nose section is filled with a piece of foam (Which takes the pressure off my nose) and hot glued at the top, no gaps!

Hi, I play at Worthing. Get to EAG Worthing (Top of Titnore lane) there's usually a couple of women show up to a game.
-
Cool, Yeah, I'll give it a go. I watched a pretty good online tutorial. It's a nice gun to work on as everything pulls apart so easily
-
Cool I was worried about the wiring as I've read about the trigger having issues, this one seems to be fine but I know it's not a biggy to swap it out.

What about this? : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Airsoft-7-4V-2600mAh-25C-LiPo-stick-battery-with-case-LP305-Vapextech-Brand-2L-/331329381260?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4d24c5238c That'd drop in with no issues that I can see into the hand guard?
-
Cheers, The battery I have with it is an 8.4v 3300 NiMH. (Old, doesn't seem to hold it's charge for too long). I take it that if I swapped for a LiPo then it'd be an idea to try to get the 3300mAh version? At the moment I wouldn't say it's fleecing itself in ROF but then I'll be changing the spring (As soon as my new one turns up). I chrono'd it and currently it's at 410fps!
