  1. From reading all this I'm still a bit confused! (Sorry) My local site keeps a register of everyone that attends and on what date, I asked the organiser and he said to bring in the completed UKARA form with £10 and a photo, he sorts it out and gets your number registered. Am I correct in saying that most sites stamp the paper each time?
  2. i can only quote what I've been told, which is to provide a pic and £10! Do you have a photo card? (Maybe they're charging the extra for that?)
  3. Yeah, I've heard a few people saying that my site can take a fair while to get it sorted! I'm looking to get a new RIF for Christmas (Plus it's my 40th the week after).
  4. This is quite intersesting! I thought that when you'd sttended your first 3 games, you get the site to fill the form in and you had over £10 plus a photo and THEY put you on the database? Is this wrong? Is there an easier and quicker way to get on the register?
  5. Yes they'll allow the transaction but you won't be covered by PayPal buyer protection. Trust me I just lost £140 because of this!
  6. I'm in the exact same situation budget wise, I've arrived at the TM Scar-L CQC Version. Only issue is the expensive and HTF mags, saying that I found them fairly quickly
  7. So I've only played twice. First Skirmish was spot on, no issues! I think a couple of people weren't taking their hits but not enough to ruin the day. The 2nd time there was a group of 17/18 year olds (That's not me being age'st, just an observation) that were clearly making their own rules up regarding "Dead men don't talk" and "Medic'ing", again they didn't ruin the day but I don't get their logic! It's a game and I take it for what it is. The only "Jip" I got was from a kid about 14ish that asked me "Why you f*****g standing back here? all the action is over here" to which I replied, "I'm lost! I've spent 5 mins looking for the respawn" lol... My local site have a strict no fighting rule, you do it and you're out forever!
  8. You're not wrong there! Apparently you can still pick them up for £14 in China, over here you're talking double that figure That was what I had saved for my Scar but atleast I can get that with relative ease compaired to the Mags! On another note, does anyone know what Molle mag pouches would be best for these mags? My Condor one only just fits them.
  9. So, I can't get the gun till early next year (UKARA) but I thought I'd get the mags ready! Also, I finally found a replacement TM PX4 Slide EDIT: Damn I need to sort out the grout by my fireplace!!!!
  10. Hi there! I've litereally only been playing for the last 2 months so i'm still very much a newbie (I'm 40 in Jan BTW). I have a mate that I intend to go with regularly that has also started going that hasn't played for a year or so. The last game I went to I just went by myself and had no issues "Mingling".
  11. Hey dude! I live in Worthing I've been going to Elite Games in Worthing for the last 2 months, I'll be staying there for this year as I need to get my UKARA sorted. I hope to try Combat South in the new year though! Looks cool. Have you been to the Shop in Pompey?
  12. Oh, I shoot everything so how many do most people use then?
  13. Cool, I'm finding several sites with them listed. I think Christmas may have to come early this year
  14. Cool, I take it they're 130 round mags that can be locked at 30 round if you want?
  15. Where can I buy the correct TM Mid caps? From what I was told the flimsy metal opening at the back is forever bending, hence the use of the Magpul ones. EDIT: I just noticed Landwarrior have them, what is the capacity of a TM mid cap? Is it like most other brands lo caps? lol
  16. @b1n0gHo5t Yeah, everyone I've spoken too says they're rarer than rocking horse s**t! @team flex That's no fun! I want the "Bolt lock" function Magpul SOPMOD Mid caps also allow the bolt lock to work!
  17. Cool, The more I read about it the more it comes out on top! The lad I was talking too just said he runs it with a Lipo upgrade and that's it! Only down side is trying to find mid cap Magpul Pmags, (The plastic ones are bettter than the metal TM high and Lo ones). At that price range, what else could I be looking at?
  18. The one I tried was the CQC version (As in the pic) plus it's on the "L" body rather than the "H", it was shorter than an M4 and felt bloody lovely
  19. Hey all, I thought I'd just throw this out amongst you all. I'm looking to buy a new RIF just after Christmas (It'll be my 40th B'day), at the mo' I have a G&G T4 which is really proving itself however I'm a short ass at 5ft 6" so I find the long barrel length a bit cumbersome. (Yep, should've bought the Short barrel version). Anyways, I'm attending my 3rd skirmish in December and so I aim to hit the shops with my newly aquired UKARA number early next year. So, here's the question... My budget will be £500, I was talking to a dude that has the TM Scar L CQC, he loves it! I have to admit I like the design (Yes I realize I'd need to buy new SOPMOD compatible mags). What's the general verdict on this? I know they do the H "Heavy" version, is it better? I really don't care about the larger calibre look, i'd rather have a quality lighter gun. Use wise it'll be outside in the woods but I also hope to be visiting a couple of CQB sites next year, any help and advise appreciated I'm open to ideas about other guns too so I won't be offended if I get negative answers about the TM.
  20. Paypal funded by a credit card! Although, if you're buying anything to do with an RIF then Paypal buyer protection won't cover you!
  21. Curious, My feet seem to be the opposite, I prefer shoes with a crazy big arch support! Even to the point of a bit of pain. I know when I have a good pair as my feet almost "Crack" back in to place! I can see from the way my shoes wear that I must roll my feet slightly inward as the outside heel wears quicker than the rest.
  22. Ok cool!it does come back from time to time but never as bad as when I first had it!
  23. I haven't, I found wearing decent shoes did the job. I ended up with it in both feet (I'm a Postman). Problem I had was I used to wear Vans flat shoes (Out of work) and the crappy Magnum boots Royal Mail provided which royal F****d my feet up!
  24. I've been using a pair of Saloman Quest 4D GTX, I have a conditon called Plantar Fasciitis (Policemans heel) and I've worn Salomen shoes for the last 5 years because of this. Without a doubt they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever had! Only issue is that on concrete the soft sole will wear consideraby in a matter of months! I bought the Quests specific for Airsofting as I can wear them for the day without any discomfort, plus they look like something Batman would wear
