  1. 30th anniversary looks better imo, all the CM's have the same internals so its just about what one you think looks best. a lot of new players are adamant they need a "full metal" gun. honestly a lot of REAL guns have a higher % of polymer construction externally then metal, look at guns like the g36 for example. Full metal guns can be very heavy and cumbersome, the only real advantage is that it "feels" a bit more beefy and "realistic". You said you liked a KWA gun, have you seen the KWA CQR. That is a good starter M4, it comes with 3 mags
  2. I have had my G33 for about 4 months and skirmished it I think 3 times, I havnt had any issues with it. If you want to buy an M4 style gun I think G&G are probably the better option over ICS, however If you like the look of the G33 then its a safe choice too. My G33 cost me about £200 but that was from an onsite shop. If you want to upgrade your gun internally then G&G might be the better option because ICS have unique gearboxes, really its down to you. The G33 is a great gun out of the box I seem to outrange most guys not sure why but I do, the G&G's are great too.
  3. RIS, means rail interface systems. Its basically the rails usually found on the hand-guard to place various attachments such as flash-lights of fore-grips. other notable abbreviations are FPS (Feet per second) ROF (Rate of fire)
  4. Hey mate I have a ICS G33. Its a great gun from what ive used of it thus far, it has nice range and came out the box at exactly 300fps. The only issue I have with the gun is semi auto, there first 10 or so bb's in a mag seem to come out full auto. this makes it a bit awkward for CQB use. however it might just be in issue with my particular gun. It definitely is a good gun, I know 2 people that use it at my site and they havnt had any problems from what i could see either. In my opinion you should get a ukara first before buying a gun, unless you dont mind spending the money for a silly coloured one. I use a 7.something lipo battery and use a "smart charger". technically repainting a RIF is deemed as "manufacturing a RIF" which is illegal however who cares.... if u want to risk having a dodgy paint job lol its up to you
  5. On a side note regarding a side arm. I bought a WE M9 and its a great little gun, Its fun to use in CQB and when I run out of Ammo. However I think if I had a choice to go back, I would have spent the money on buying some mid-caps and a battle belt
  6. MP40 with drum mag, lol that gun was a killing machine I used to get 80 kill on HQ
  7. WAW was my favorite COD defiantly. Unfortunately now every server is infested with hackers. I really hope treyarch do return to a WW2 setting, with next gen graphics and a ridiculously huge budget im sure it would be a great game
  8. Actually I totally agree with that, It seems to occur in most hobbies unfortunately. Dont let them bother you nevertheless, sometimes the rental guys can be more effective then the guys with £1000 kit lol
  9. What exactly do you mean by "Massive weirdo", To be honest it sounds like you're being a bit judgmental. People that don't take hits are always annoying I agree... Lets be honest grown men shooting each other with toy guns isnt exactly the social norm, but its fun so who cares. So what if everyone isnt a super spec op killing machine, tagging every one just because they have expensive guns. it doesnt matter it just for fun.
  10. Im such a massive total war fan have been since the original Rome game back in 2005. The "new" one Attila comes out in feb, to be honest its pretty much a big DLC to Rome2 but it looks alright will defiantly buy it. Im not sure if its just me but the gaming industry seems to have come to a bit of a brick wall for me... every big games seems to either be a modern arcade FPS or a zombie game which both i find mind numbing. Really wish a big company would make a good WW2 game, I have been playing a lot of Red Orchestra2 but.... idk there is something about that game that seems a bit unfinished. I'm looking forward to see what the modding community does with GTA5 that recently was released for PC, if there are some aw some mods for it I might buy that...again. Looking forward to when war thunder create navy battles, but I doubt that will even happen in 2015.
  11. my dad bought me a fender stratocaster (guitar) and a Marshall amp, my flatmates will love me
  12. Paintball mask is fine, you dont need to look like a navy seal to play airsoft especially when youre first starting out so casual clothes is fine. If you have a paintball boiler suit type thing thats actually ideal aswell. Personally never heard about sites not allowing two tone guns, maybe if its a "milsim" event they might impose that rule.
  13. http://www.airsoftmap.net/Skirmish/
  14. I would say £20-25 for the smock the trousers around £15 jackets £15-18. Thats a bit less then it would cost in an Army and Navy shop
  15. The G&G guns have something called Pneumatic blow back, its rather cool because it doesn't require any extra power from the battery like some other electric blowback guns. Basically AEG's shoot BB's by pushing them out the barrel with air, how the Pneumatic blow back works is a small ammount of that air is used to move a fake bolt back, it then compresses a little spring that pushes the bolt back to the original state, simulating a firing mechanism of a real firearm. To be honest its not the greatest blow-back system, unlike gas blow back guns its not as much of a jolt but it makes a nice sound. its nice however because it requires no additional energy and no mechanical parts other than a spring, so its more reliable. I think also most G&G guns allow you to turn it off if you want. In summary no you don't require any kind of gas for a Pneumatic blow back gun, it just uses the air produced when firing.
  16. My first BB gun was a little plastic pump action shotgun, I bought from the factory shop (It would be classified as a RIF now lol!) when I was about 8.... Anyone remember the grenade cases the BB's came in from the factory shop?
  17. I know you said you dont want to wear goggles over your glasses. I didn't at first either but its what I do now.. I put the goggles just over my face-mask so it separates the seal from my skin and thus allows air to fill the gap and eradicate fogging. I literally have 0 fog all day when I do this method and wear my glasses comfortably
  18. and another 40-50 for the red dot and foregrip
  19. If youre learning HTML at college then yeah go for it, just remember you will have to buy a domain and pay for a host server
  20. Honestly I agree with most of the people here, yes wearing paddign ect.. is going to prevent the (pain) of a BB strike however he wont be able to even feel it which might cause him to not take hits. I know some peopel are more sensitive then others but getting shot on a clothed area to me doesnt hurt at all unless its pointblank. maybe if he wears a thick jacket or something? and if he got shot in the head wear a helmet?
  21. To be honest, If you only use it at an official skirmish site then who cares?
  22. This is a bit off topic, but I have actually made arrows before its not very hard.. just watch a guide on youtube
