  1. It does not need to be a discussion though. Simply a single lesson were you go through all the parties, lay out what they are meant to stand for. Also explain what the different votes are for, i.e General Election, by elections, European elections e.t.c. I doubt any changes from such as system would be seen soon but other the next generation or 2 it might actually have an impact on the parties and how they operate.
  2. From what I've seen so far those in state schools (myself included) have received nothing unless there actually taking a subject relating to politics in some way. I certainly feel its a debate which needs to be in the public eye, whatever good it may do.
  3. Hi all I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a little bit of time to answer the question on this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/P2ZS35M After talking to a few people locally I realised that none of them had ever received any education on the British Political System and the parties involved at school. This surely cannot be good for our voting system and would possibly explain why voting is going down, as people do not know who and what there voting for. If the results of the survey turn out the way I think they will then i will try and raise this with the Authorities, or if there not interested the media.
  4. There Canadians, they dont count though that is an epic name still. If there wearing chip butties on there heads then there the Canadian equivalent, UK Air Cadets wear either the RAF Beret or Peaked Cap if the in #1's.
  5. Your combats. Head Torch + spare batteries Make sure your wearing a vest or something under your combats to keep warm. Water Notepad.
  6. A lot of private schools have a CCF (Combined Cadet Force) unit. They also have some of the worse haircuts going.
  7. I have a weekend off and not one of my local sights is running a game -_-

  8. Most surreal thing I had happen to me was waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to move. I was too shattered to care and went back to sleep. Woke up the next morning to find out they had completely wrapped me up from head to foot in toilet role.
  9. That's not always the case. My Wing had a lot of ex army staff so we had a lot of field craft camps and shooting days as a wing. On the flip side due to the OC of our Region being a complete dick, we were not allowed to do any of the field craft with rifles full stop, unlike the other 5 regions in the ATC who could. As i've said before what an individual unit does really depends on the staff they have available. The closest sqn to ours before it shut down literally did nothing but field craft as all 3 of there staff had/were serving in the forces as well. On the other hand speaking to other cadets from other sqns all they did on a parade night was drill/band and theory stuff as there staff lacked qualifications/experience. The biggest problem with all the cadet forces is that there is little consistency between units. Having spoken to other units I would say my former sqn had the right balance to the different activity's, but other units definitely did not but you cant find that out until you join and spend a few months there.
  10. Try selling them on here, its one of the biggest forums out there: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/list.page
  11. Minecraft and ARMA 3 for me. I have BF4 but it winds me up too much to want to play it. I would certainly be interested in playing some AMRA 3 scenarios.
  12. G&G F2000? Looks like a solid weapon and is probably easy to use then an L85 which is a bit of a pig to move around quickly until you start playing with a RIS.

Last time I was ID'd, last Monday, for a bottle of quite nice wine at a supermarket. Turns out I was 12 years older than the sales person at the till. Still ID'd regularly at 30 get in! You just have to learn to laugh it off, if you start getting annoyed its you'll look like a d!ck. Plus the assistants feel embarrassed enough asking.

Exactly my point, never been ID'd for one, two days after my 18th and the woman asks me for ID lol.

  14. My Bolle Rushes dont fog up. Only problem is you end up with a film of sweet instead... I dont think you can win with glasses
  15. I've got my troll popped into my local model shop for the first time in a while and found out that he is still selling a lot off it at the much older (cheaper) GW prices
  16. Oh dear, I've just started a Lord of the Rings buying spree on ebay :/ So far a box of Mordor Orcs and a sprue of Men of Minis Tirith. I really need to find a troll though... Update: Just got most of the fellowship for a steal, still no troll though
  17. I've built a couple of 1/48 Tamiya kits in the past and they went together quite easily. No crazy complex details to assemble either. General rule of thumb is to avoid airfix then you will be alright with most of the brands you can pick up on the high street.
  18. All the mold lines - especially down them barrels and the random flappy bits of plastic.
  19. Oooh there is some series flash on that! Dont envy you cleaning that all off.
  20. Ah brilliant. Off to order one now
  21. PVA does the same job and is much cheaper! Just takes slightly longer to dry.
  22. How are acogs with DR sights to expensive? You can pick up a standard one for £60 without it :/
