  1. And to top it all off I just lost one of the screws to the top cover of the RIS while putting some grease on them so I now cant even send it back. 50 odd quid straight down the drain.
  2. I just found out the hard way that the gas parts on the WE are wider then the RS :/ No way the handgaurd is going to go on with the current one.It will also not fit onto the rifle housing with the current Handgaurd mounting holes at the front of the rifle. The only adaptors I can find that might work is the Hornbill one for the L85 which is very pricy as it replaces both the Gas Block housing and the front mount as well. Problem is the screw to attach the RIS I have to the rifle is at an angle, while the adaptor still seems to be a straight bolt. I'm very seriously considering trying to send this back to the guy now as he did list it in the description as a Madbull version. Its going to cost about the same if not more in the end I think.
  3. Get the money for a pc first mate. Worry about what you want to get after you have the money to actually build it.
  4. A little less power consumption/space and money compared to xfire, on the other hand it runs hotter. Realistically i still think its overkill for what you are practically going to be doing with it for a fair while yet, 4k is not cheap.
  5. This looks like an interesting challange, however the donor gun has me worried: http://www.shootandscoot.co.uk/shop/n04-kit-form/

Potentially, however tbh I quite fancy the challenge and the idea of having a wood stained rifle :3 Plus it would mean I have a bolt action, AEG and GBB to pick and choose with and the ability to have a friend borrow a rifle and still have a back up.

The SMLE looks cooler though. Especially if you get the Bayonet :)

      I'm gonna play devil's avicate and say I prefer the No4 ;)

  6. Yh I had that problem yesterday. Russia vs Germany, green camo against slightly darker green camo.
  7. I'm amazed they got the graphics looking so good with the engine considering how crummy the game itself looks.
  8. Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2 is worth checking out. It plays like a completely different game. Feels like ARMA but you have a restricted AO (2 to 4 Km Square generally) and a clear series of generally capture and hold/destroy missions. There are loads of possible nations to play as and the loadouts are very well researched and true to real life.
  9. Verdun is certainly interesting to come back to every so often to see what has been updated. Sticking your head up is definitely a very calculated risk best not taken
  10. I spent most of that video staring at the M1 Garand slap bang in the middle at the top
  11. The destructive side of me likes the sound of this test...
  12. Ah, thats good to know, thanks Starting to wish i had been less lenient with my feedback on ebay as I brought the adaptor for the Madbull one at the time. :/ From the feel of the metal im gonna guess its a clone, the metal just feels cheap. edit. Though it does have an NSN Trade which is something which is missing of the pictures of the Hornbill ones so far. Having never held a RS one (unless this is one O.o) the metal may well actually feel like this.
  13. My right eye is just completely screwed, iron sights do not work for me at all as they tend to blur into one black blob. My shooting scores as a cadet were very poor as the entire target would merge into one big black blob with the Sights I find looking through the sights on my AUG or Susat ok though closing my left eye which is odd as both use black lines/obelisk.
  14. Ill admit the last patch of BF4 was finally a playable experience for me, especially as the DMRs are now useful. However the map design drives me back to BF3 everytime.
  15. I am now a tad confused over what version of L85 Handgaurd I have. The original listing stated in the description that it was a madbull version but I am having my doubts. I am hoping it is as I brought the adaptors for the WE Here are the pictures: There is some damage to the top rails paintwork which looks like it could be caused by gas of some description. There is no 'For Airsoft' trade mark which i've seen the Madbull versions. Cheers Ben
  16. Kinda annoyed. DD rail turned up today. The picture of it when listed showed one with a few scratches and the rubber rail grips on the side. Instead the one that has turned up is just the rail with quite a bit of rust on the allen key heads. From the way the paint has gone it looks like it has been near some series heat at some point as well. edit I'm now even more confused if it is the mad-bull version as it is listed or not as there is no 'for airsoft' marking and the general shape of it does not quite match up to the images of the madbull rail on google.
  17. Planetside 2 can be very epic if you get a good run. Few non pay to win free games as well.
  18. Computers dont hold there value fall stop unfortunetly. Wait a few months and see what the new Windows 10? is like. Windows should be due a decent version by know in there cycle of 1 good 1 bad. I might treat myself to an upgrade if its worth it when it does.
  19. There is an actual sport using bows called archery tag. It is basically dodge ball but you shoot arrows with foam heads at each other instead. It even includes the rules that if you catch the arrow then your team mate can come back in. I would love to give it a go sometime.
  20. It is a great card for the money, it wont be touched at the minute. It will be happily running games at 1080p and even 1440p for years to come. Game development in the visual department has slowed down dramatically, especially as the latest consoles are weak, meaning that developers have little reason to push there graphics in games. You could save a bit by going for an earlier version of the CPU, Ivy bridge mabye. You dont actually lose all that much performance as the latest generation Intel chips have gone more towards energy efficiency then raw power. That would save you money on both the CPU and the Motherboard. I have something stupid like 40 Games of various sizes and a third of my 1TB drive left. That would save you a few quid. I would recommend WD over Seagate as well. You dont need a £18 cooling paste, a £5 one would do the job if you really want to use one. A 750Watt power supply will be ample. You are right in sticking with corsair, they are a good bet. Just avoid the builders series as it has a mixed reputation though. I have heard good things about the RM series which is what you have picked so far. Just a personal opinion but that case is boring This guy has style : http://www.scan.co.uk/products/nzxt-h440-matte-black-with-red-trim-mid-tower-case-with-side-window-and-4-quiet-fans-w-o-psu A budget style option would be the Corsair 230T though .
  21. Your going to want a 4K monitor with G-sync to make up for the fact that the GPUs are not going to be able to keep the Frame Rate above 60FPS to prevent any tearing. When they finally come out you will be looking at 500+ for the monitor alone. You really will not be gaining that much from it... Just because the media has hyped it up as the next best thing, the reality of it at the minute is that it is really not worth it. In another 5 years mabye. By then you cards would be defunct anyway. I'm just trying to help you make a decision that you are not going to later regret. Its a lot of money which could be spent on a hell of a lot of other things.
  22. If your playing at 1080p you definitely dont need to spend that much... If you want to keep with a really solid GPU (More important in game anyway) then going the AMD route would save you a nice amount of money and effect your frame rate by only a small amount.
  23. Most UI's are not scaled for 4K anyway so you just end up straining your eyes trying to read anything. 1440p seems to be a much better option for actual use. You can get whats known as Korean panels for less then 200. They typical use the screens that apple rejected for their displays and put them in a cheap housing with a single power connector and display port connector to bring the price right down. You get a very nice panel for a fraction of what it would cost from apple or the equivalent. If I stop spending money on airsoft guns I might beef up my PC and get one. I would have 3 Displays to enjoy then
