  1. Actually, my MP7 is the one with a rail instead of the folding grip, and it also has the flash hider made for the QD suppressor, which looks decent enough. Check out the loadouts section; I have a few photos of me running it up there.

  2. Well, now that my CQB loadout is almost complete, here are a few pics of me running my training course in my backyard. I wrote alot, so feel free to just skip to the pics. List of items:

  3. Just submitted this email query to HMRC, we'll see if they respond!

"I'm a member of the UK military and I'm currently living and working in the USA on an authorised deployment. During my deployment I have taken up the hobby of 'airsoft'.

My query relates to bringing (importing) my Realistic Immitation Firearms (RIFs) that I use for this hobby back into the UK at the end of my deployment. I am likely to return to the UK via Heathrow airport.

I've read around the UK law and understand the defences against the Violent Crime Reduction Act (VCRA), specifically section 36(1)(d), and the offence of importing a RIF into the UK.

Given, this my defence would be under:

"the organisation and holding of permitted activities for which public

liability insurance is held in relation to liabilities to third parties arising

from or in connection with the organisation and holding of those

    activities".

I am aware of the UKARA scheme, that allows airsoft retailers to sell airsoft RIFs to UKARA members in the UK, but to my understanding this is not necessarily a VCRA defence. Rather, membership of UKARA provides evidence of participation in the hobby, which can be used to support the defence stated above.

I will be unable to complete my UKARA membership prior to returning to the UK (play 3 airsoft games over a period greater than 2 months at a registered site).

Given this, I'm unsure how I prove that I'm a 'skirmisher' participating in this hobby, as so far I have only participated in airsoft events in the USA."

I didn't realise the law would be so unclear!

That was actually very well written, and if they feel the need to respond, they may be able to help sort you out.

  4. Yep, I've got a mixture of gas, from 144a to green gas all the way up to WE Nuprol black gas (not really sure why I bought it, thought it might make my 40mms work better). I'll be using it as my primary at my demo/testing of the Safariland 578 ProFit holsters (which I just confirmed the ones I want Bill Rogers to bring across the pond), so I'll have a better idea of its specs then. I will tell you; it's really fun to shoot. Did you get the one with the QD silencer and kydex mount, or just the gun?

  5. When it comes to gas mags, I've fixed plenty of GBB WE pistol mags. Turns out two aren't actually leaking; TM doesn't use a silent fill valve, so it seems like the mags are venting, but they aren't. But two ARE leaking, and I've tried rotating the o-rings 90 degrees, soaking them in warm water, and many coats of silicon grease. Overnight, I removed the two o-rings and put them over the back of a screwdriver to try to reform them to circle; I'll see how that does in a bit.

  6. Ok on the internals, and for gas I am using either Abbey gas, but most probably WE green gas. If I should be using something else then I can get it; however all four mags are leaking right now so gas isn't my biggest concern ATM.

  7. Hello all

I just nabbed myself a TM MP7 GBB. I have four mags for it as well. I also have just over 1 week until Bill Rogers comes across the pond. I wish to impress him with this MP7, but am unsure about what to do. I get the whole "isnt broke dont fix" thing, so I am mainly looking at externals. I got a sling, silencer, and mount for it, but, as I will be using it at the Mall, I could do with a good pressure torch and maybe a sight. i have seen Eotechs on mp7s and like those. Any advice? Should I touch the internals?

  8. It's nearly 1am and I am fixing guns woo!

So I decided to fix my stock on my JG vz61 skorpion, zipties are amazing! (I lost the pin that goes through it to hold it in place at a game and never found it.) I then decided to gaff tape my mags together so I have speed reloading, 2x 2 mags together. Works a treat! Then for laughs I put my firepig on. It makes a lovely crack!

Apologies for the poor quality photo.

Lol, I'm up as well, but if I work on guns at this time the others in the house will use them on me...

  9. Haha, rounds are nothing like paintball. It costs quite abit for paintballs; bbs are much cheaper. You can get around 5000 bbs for around £24, I believe. Haven't bought ammo in forever due to buying bulk, but it should be about that. Also, some sites have a range of guns to rent on a first come first serve basis, but others stick with either M4s or G36s.

  10. Easy, get a rubber knife ;). Nothing more fun that entering a room, figuring out there are enemies in there who haven't noticed you, and individually knifing that all :).

In terms of silent guns, foam-lined suppressor a work abit; the one I have in my M4 brings down the noise from the gearbox a tad, but you are gonna have a hard time finding a way to silence a gun...

Unless you like throwing bbs, that's pretty quiet (jk).
