are they normal colours or camo Nick? I would like Velcro patches but I want them to blend in rather than stick out against my shirt. I bought one from the site on sunday but they only had the old ones with a red border and that needed sewing to the Velcro that came attached to it. The Velcro was the stick on to anything stuff rather than made as part of the patch

I did buy an olive green Royal Corps of Signals t shirt last night. The ex army lads seem to maintain that connection with any badges and TRFs that we wore in service

i tried 0.25s instead of 0.20s today and the difference made me switch to them

Edit: i also bought a Players Of War velcro patch after seeing someone with one

the only kill i got today was with my CO2 pistol. i left the AEG in the car for one game and i actually preferred it apart from the lack of ammo. i went out with that pistol and my desert eagle AEP which couldnt touch the range of the 1911 but neither does my AEG. using 0.25s made it even better and the accuracy was spot on with slightly heavier bbs

i would suggest trying it and see how you get on. even if you hire an AEG for the day, you still have the option to leave the hire gun behind

After chatting to a tech in the local shop I got really excited about him setting up a really nice 450 FPS SR-25 for me. Then when I got home and had a look around some sites in the south they all seemed to be either 400 or 425 FPS limits on DMRs with a 20+ metre MED or it was just standard 350 FPS unless it was a BASR.

I was actually meaning to setup a thread with basically the same question as Richie. Surely unless you can use a gun with a significantly higher muzzle velocity you may as well just use a decently setup AEG or GBBR that fires at/under 350 FPS?

That is legitimately disgusting, my site keeps all the hire AEGs with the owner and TWA often gets makeshift wooden building burnt down (and then they rebuild a two storey building which is better than the one that got burnt down) but stealing in general of any kind is disgusting.

I don't personally find BB's are anywhere as accurate as a 5.56 round. At the extent of the range of my gun I find I need at least 5-10 rounds to get the hit. Yet at 30metres or so I would expect to very reliably hit what I was shooting at with 5.56 (and various other calibres I have used). Considering with a 22 I can happily shoot into the 85 score range I am pretty confident I can hit a penny at that range with most shots, let alone a person. Yet with my BB gun I miss quite a bit. Therefore a realistic amount of ammo is 5-10x what a real gun would use, so 150-300 rounds. Therefore depending on the accuracy of your gun your realistic ammo ranges are in the mid cap to high cap range. 30 round magazines just don't seem skirmish able to me.

I remember the last time I played at the Malls a few of us rushed into a cleared a shop. I shot a guy pretty squarely in the leg but instead of calling it he backed up around a pillar. So I shot him again. He started bitching about already being dead so I said "why were you hiding then?", "Oh I was just getting out of the way" he said. "Respawn's that way" I replied, pointing out of the door.

it is nothing to do with the game Lozart. It is nothing other than curiosity between 2 weapons I own. I cant imagine when I would use full auto with a pistol during a game anyway. I would assume its range would be lucky to be of any use beyond single shot limits anyway so the information I want is irrelevant to a skirmish. In CQB I wouldn't want open up at someone with it although I think I would choose it over the 1911s for practical reasons. Semi only though

i wonder the the anti-bully thing is a forces thing or simply a question of standards and morals. i hate them too and being honest, with cyber-bullies i do take great pleasure in ripping them to pieces using intellect and humour rather than lowering myself to their tactics of abuse and obscenities. their goal is always to upset their victim and nothing winds them up more than the victim showing absolutely no sign of this because they are then becoming frustrated. once that begins it is simply a case of adding a little humour to your own reasoned debate and when the opportunity presents itself (as it always will), humiliate them into submission. 90% of them will suddenly disappear and will not respond to your posts. all you have to do is remain polite and put forward a reasoned response to whatever gibberish they are throwing at you. when they give you the opening you go in for the kill and call their bluff or whatever the situation calls for. even some sarcasm if it can be presented as banter. providing you have a quick wit and you know what you are talking about then the end result will only be a matter of time

i remember a guy known as space cadet. he was well known for his tall stories but he slipped up big time with me. he spinned me some yarn about working for the RAF as a civvy in whatever war zone was recently started. his story was that the army boys had done a 6 month tour and had almost set up communications then he went over and it took him 2 weeks to finish the job of setting up morse communications for the RAF. my response was that i served in the signals and therefore knew that the army had binned morse 8 years ago (at the time) and didnt realise that the RAF had kept using it after the army binned it. i could almost hear the 'OOPS' in his head

Armysurpluss, cheers for starting this thread, looking on the positive side and reading all the replies on here, it reminds me why I'm on this site nearly every day, (even when I'm working abroad!) and why i love airsoft!
On the negative side? Well yes, Arrse is exactly what it says on the tin! ARRSE!! I'm not even going to waste time commenting on them, bu they are NOT representative of any of our armed forces. I did my time, got my gongs, had a lot of fun, drank far too much and enjoy taking the p*ss as much s the next bloke, but one thing I do hate, and it doesn't matter where you're from, or what you do is bullies and that's exactly what they are and what they do. No time for em!
    in reply to a couple of posts here so far;
"Why don't you buy a real gun?"
    A. It's illegal in this country
    B. If I shot the crap out of my mates with real guns I'd be a homocidal psycho - with no mates!

I haven't actually met any Walts what so ever while airsofting, but I've met loads of the type on Arrse who are either Walts or "Bloaters".
How do you convince a veteran that airsofting is a good thing?
Let him have a go on your gun!! (no innuendos, please!!! lol).
A mate of mine came round for a few beers, we served together years ago, he did his 12, I did the full whack, I was telling him I was getting in to airsoft and he thought I was some nut crazy wannabe!
Anyway, after a couple of beers I brought out my baby, my WE H&K 416D, Eotech, x3 mag, peq laser, tracer unit and custom pain job and let him have a cabby in the back garden! Talk about hooked!!!

I love this site guys and I love airsofting and long may we all continue to be open, honest, friendly, non judgmental and fun loving sportsmen who take our hits and do it simply for the fun.
The field is a great leveller, I once got knife killed by a 16 year old with a rubber chicken!!
It could have been worse, he could have been RAF Regt!!!
