  1. Remember the madbull hop up needs the led unit to work, lots of places sell them separately. It's about £60 all in. You could always DIY it ... http://unconventional-airsoft.com/2007/11/19/tracer-unit-built-into-magazine/
  2. We can play semantics all night long, but a sniper could use a coat hanger and still be called a sniper. A gun by all modern definitions is anything capable of firing an explosive propelled projectile of any size or caliber. Your term "large" is entirely unsubstantiated, and under your definition a Mortar would also be classified as a gun, which it's not. Shotgun, a gun that fires shot. machine gun, a gun that is driven by a machine, sub machine gun etc, your definition is wrong, it may have rang true in 1800, but today it's not. Either way, we can be sure that browniee is not human trafficking marksmen and we should stop devolving his thread into an anorak convention. That fps ruling is more than a little bit stupid though.
  3. [pedantic] Bolt action rifle. Sniper is a role, not a gun.
  4. Can't decide if i want a Multiglam Plate Carrier or a Coyote Brown Plate Carrier?

Nothing wrong with 1983 and we weren't wearing OD then, 'twas DPM, coyote tan doesn't really work much in this countries terrain, coyote brown there are far too many differences in supplier colours

but ... but ... but how can one be Opor8rz without multicam? and the extra 36 feet it gives the bb and the option to chose to take your hits or not.

  5. Contrary to popular belief, a good layout means very little in success of a website. See amazon for example. Google can't see a good human interface, it will only see what it wants to see so a good successful website will be built from the ground up aiming to please the search engine. Google the term SEO. Learn about it, live it, breathe it and manipulate it. It's a dark art of witchcraft and they do keep moving the goalposts. Time served is also important, as is unique text. Don't just copy and paste the description off another Website or supplier. Customer service is paramount, customers should have even their mundane emails answered by midday, each day. And within minutes when arriving within office hours. If you can't afford to invest heavily into advertising and SEO, what's your USP you are literally competing with other shops around the world. What can you offer them they don't? A fantastic website is no good on the 16th page of google, non one will find you.
  6. £3 a week? Flip off I will do it myself every other month for nowt! And where in your master plan are you getting the water from?
  7. "Strip it, clean it, Teflon it, lube it" is SOP for any vsr, especially one that's not been used for a while. While its apart check the outside of the cylinder for any scoring to see if it's catching on anything. While it's out double check the scope rail screws are not protruding into the breech. Aftermarket screws or too tight can come through and catch on the cylinder, it should be smooth to touch.
  8. I don't deny that selling stolen MOD kit is illegal, I disagree with your insinuation that all mk7 helmets are stolen.
  9. It's all just snake oil in my opinion, the slightest bit of wind is going to affect accuracy significantly more than any diameter of barrel will.
  10. Have you actually got the legislation to support that?, Obviously selling unauthorised ex MOD kit is illegal, but the items themselves aren't as far as I can tell. I have legitimate access to a Mk7 and know many that do, and Level 4 plates for that matter. I can guarantee if you approached Morgan with enough cash, you could walk out with a Mk7.
  11. Found a very neat little solution to the problem
  12. So long as this was within 14 days of receiving the item, (which it obviously is in your case, as you haven't received it) you have the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations (superseded the old Distance Selling Regs) Them claiming a 20% restocking fee for an item not dispatched is illegal and you need to tell them! Post 14 days they are within their rights to and have no obligation to accept the item back. But as you have paid and they have not dispatched, you are covered. As per always don't just take legal advice from some faceless moron on t'internet, go off and do your own research on the CCR. But a strongly worded letter, threatening small claims court for breech of cantract and CCR breeches would be my next priority.
  13. i ahve always questioned that, in my mind the weakest link is most likely going to be the 2.8mm spade connection onto the motor, which on a v2 you can't do without.
  14. See the trick is to not get caught ..... I imagine
  15. Walting is not off topic at all, it's bang on the topic and it's exactly what I am reffering to and trying to avoid. I agree completely with everything said so for about being "that guy" to the point I sometimes do feel ashamed of playing airsoft and don't like donning the MTP. Most of my guns are very demillitaized. It's worth noting that Mr Mitty doesn't just exist exclusively as a forces fantasist, they also exist in civi street and In my day job specifically there are a lot of Walts who simply "don't know, what they don't know"
  16. Ohh I got one of them for swimming! can I join? No arm bands or nothing!
  17. Thank you everyone for your input, it is greatly appreciated. And the ZCI box is really great, the issues are all down to me and the parts not the box.
  18. The nozzle direction was because of the stress put on it by the gear, now they have been lowered and a slice of the tappet arm removed it flows freely. Simply shimmed too high. After a weekend of tweaking, fiddling and contemplating taking up golf I have resided to the SPR taking a back seat and making it a shorty gun. With a 250mm barrel and maple leaf rubber it's now shooting 280-285 on .25 so just shy of 1j which was my target. I think I may get a better seal with a g&g green though so may try that. With the aoe Un corrected again the cylinder head is leaking a little so I may have to open it up again to address that but for now it's fairly sorted. Not the monster of smoothness I wanted but hey ho, it's not bad. It's shooting quite accurately so i have that going for me which is nice! I can certainly forsee a G5 making it's way onto my credit card sometime soon...
  19. customs charges. how much would you have to pay to import a £350 (post vat) gun?

  20. man up? people are twats, they will be twats when you are young; they will be twats when you are old, no matter what you do in life you will be surrounded by twats. The trick it to rise above it, move on and ensure you don't become the twat yourself.
  21. Yes it can. the problem was it was misaligned, The spur gear was shimmed a smidgen too high, causing all the other gears to be too high, causing the tappet to rub against the GB shell, a re shim and a small amount filed off the tappet plate arm and it now moves freely in full range. Still only 250fps. I'm done, all out of ideas and flips to give.
  22. righto, its been stripped and tweaked, various cylinders, different hop ups and rubbers, different cylinder ect all to with minimal changes to the FPS. However it just dawned on me I don't think its a compression issue, but a drive train issue. the tappet plate and nozzle always seem to be compressed even after shooting semi auto. Also when the gearbox is closed up it feels a lot of resistance on the nozzle and is slow to return foreward. I opened it up after a few shots on semi and found it like this: It looks like the tappet plate is just bending upwards and not pulling back as it should. I have tried a different tappet plate and another set of gears and it keeps doing it. Ideas?
  23. I don't think that fair at all, they are very capable if you don't expect too much of them, a lot of people that bought them expected them to be like an AEG moaning about the mag cap and weigh, and complaining that you had to cock it. Mine is more accurate and has better range than my CM aeg ever did. less consistent, but no less consistent than some other gas guns. Its far from the best, but certainly not "absolutely terrible".
