I think I sense a business opportunity to sell pitchforks and torches, 'cause you'll get lynched by the purists you meet It is your gun though mate, it all depends on the finished product. I can't imagine the sten being kitted out wih rails without looking tacky though.

If you want an alternative to the venerable G&G combat machine (though I don't see why you would, they're brilliant for the price) then the ICS sportlines are very sturdy rifles if he doesn't want to tinker with it. Split gearbox is great for switching between woodland and CQB battles as you could have two gearboxes that take just a minute to swap over.

I saw that site, then I saw the ton of hate the guy got in his thread on here so I'm not likely to buy from him... No matter how tempting haha Edit: First two threads in question (of a fair few it seems) http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/11072-specialairsoftsupplies/?fromsearch=1 http://www.airsoft-forums.co.uk/index.php/topic/8671-specialairsoftsupplies/?fromsearch=1

This: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Dan-Wesson-CO2-Revolver-6-Inch-Silver_A10DGJ.aspx#.U2KFzYm9LTo With these: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/ASG-Dan-Wesson-Power-Down-Shells-6pcs-6mm-Low-Power_A17DGD.aspx#.U2KF4Im9LTo Should drop it to a skirmishable level. Other than that you are going to be hard pressed to find a lower powered metal revolver in the UK as they're not the most popular backup. If you're willing to make a sacrifice by having it plastic bodied you could go for this: http://www.airsoftworld.net/tokyo-marui-m19-6-inch-gas-airsoft-revolver-6-barrel-black.html I have one and it's a cracking weapon for CQB or as a backup, but it has an average fps of 240 on green gas though I would use a lower powered propellant for it as green is a bit too strong for prolonged use. Also available in chrome and shorter barrel lengths (2.5 / 4 / 6 inch). If you really want people to take notice, then get one of these: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Marushin_Marushin_X_Cartridge_8mm_Raging_Bull_8_375_Inch_HW_Black.htm If you find an in stock one in the uk let me know

It's a TM they're all accurate What sort of range is this hitting consistent groupings?

And that is why I have just purchased a balaclava like the one you see on call of duty ghosts. It doesn't matter what other people think, just what you want or what works best for you - hence why I went for the balaclava since I think it will look boss with my CQB loadout despite the looks I KNOW I will get with it

Can't wait to see some footage of this in action -
Through the lense itself, though the lense stayed in place funnily enough.

If you go for a gas mask then don't buy the ones you see sold on eBay (called 'm40' or something similar) that are apparently for airsoft. I brought one and shot at it from 5 feet wih my cz75 (~340 fps). The round went straight through the lense and the same happened on the other side. I've heard it mentioned that you can get replacement lenses for s10 gas masks that are rated for airsoft on eBay though. Might be worth a look? If not you can get mesh gas masks that are like the army of two masks you see around. Edit: Found one! http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cactus-hobbies-s10-airsoft-full-face-padded-mesh-gas-mask-VGC-black-/251281167967

Hop up and a tighter inner barrel is exactly you want mate, though you will up your fps by around 5 - 10 with the barrel installed since more pressure builds up behind the bb so it comes out faster when fired. A good hop up set up will add a fair bit of distance to your rifle. It's why you often see a lower powered TM shooting further than a higher powered rifle - the hop ups are usually vastly superior.

Guy at my regular site plays in a full suit and uses a pistol, cropzy. Haven't got any pics of it about so can't show you though.

Rifs are kept in their original boxes stacked under the bed. Everything else sits in the spare room in a closet.

Sidearm? You need one of these: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Marushin_Marushin_X_Cartridge_8mm_Raging_Bull_8_375_Inch_HW_Black.htm Just because really

Just some gear for me: Blackhawk Stealth Weapons catch - so I have a reliable place to store my shotgun on my CQB rig. Smith Optics Elite Boogie Regulator goggles in "Ignitor" (red tinted) colour. All brought from tactical-kit

Drop the chainsaw for a machete (most sites probably won't let you use the saw for safety kills) or maybe even two machetes. Definitely go for the trishot or any shotgun really - an m4 doesn't really fit the look. If you cock it one handed then bonus, but that's pretty much impossible wih a trishot so you'd be stuck with a single shot (I can with my ca870 for example and that's a single shot). Hit the gym, hard. I think you'd have to be a pretty big bloke to pull this off well enough to look semi serious.
-
If you pulled off a 360 no scope in that get up I think most people would overlook your noobishness as you obviously have 1337 skills

Double the fun: turn up as a video game character or talk to a serious milsim airsofter (you know these guys when you see them) and ask if their load-out is inspired by call of duty. Fun always ensues haha All joking aside (since I play at F&O sites), if the kit works then it's fine. It doesn't need to have a label. Granted some people (like myself) like to strive for a particular look (mostly eastern bloc style loadouts for me) it doesn't make you any less of an airsofters than those who go full milsim - something a lot of "serious" airsofters overlook. P.s. The kit looks great mate, what weapon is that?

From what I've heard and read, I'd have to agree with two zero. A lot of people I've spoken to don't have much good to say about it considering it's price. If it was priced at the £150~ mark it would be a great buy but it doesn't justify it's higher price tag due to some issues it has (can't remember the exact ones at the minute) which you wouldn't want in a £350+ rifle as for the same price you could have your pick of practically any Tokyo Marui rifle. Like I said - this isn't first hand knowledge, just what I've seen on forums/YouTube and heard at game sites amongst airsofters who heard it from a friend who knew a guy who had a cousin whose dog had one.
-
More info on the one you have brought or on G36Cs in general? If it's the former then we need to know which brand/type it is. If it's the later then like cropzy said - Google is your friend.
-
No worries mate, we've all been new to the hobby. It is true about high fps not being the deciding factor on range: hop up, inner barrel length and a whole host of other things result in greater range. My TM AUG, for example, shoots on average 275 fps (stock internals), but it still outranges my friend's ICS M4 despite it shooting at a higher fps of 315.
