  1. £19 with shipping from Poland. Apparently it's unused but considering most go for around the £30 mark I was quite happy to risk it. If I find it I'll pm you the link. I also was a bit miffed about the cost of mags, but it's not often I have to resort to my secondary so not a major issue for me. Looking online most reviews say the mag holds enough gas for 30ish rounds so it's nothing too drastic to carry a speed loader on my lifchik somewhere.
  2. You going to go for an extended barrel/suppresor combo with this? Makes the gun look (more) badass Sweet job on the paint by the way mate.
  3. Welcome to the addiction haha. As Tac said: your wallet is going to be hit hard
  4. Perfect cover if you have a gun fight at an anime convention judging from the first few results on google images. I'd be scared to skirmish it if I did that to a rifle - too high a risk of scratches/scuffs on the paint.
  5. Get the Tokarev Ian... You know you want to... I have convinced myself to get one since you rarely see them at £80. Update: I actually have just purchased one through redwolf plus an actual Tokarev surplus leather holster from eBay. My new toy should be here by Friday haha
  6. Some Czech/Soviet surplus AK magazine pouches off eBay. The only style of pouch I've found that fits my AUGs magazines snugly but not too tight. £10 a pop so I've naturally brought more than I need.
  7. Crafting an actual wooden stock and hand grip for my CA870 sawn off. I have the wood cut to size but it still needs to be filed down, varnished and holes for screws drilled in. It's sort of sat in the shed for the last three months in my projects box. I will do get round to it eventually but it's just finding the time to with everything else going on at the minute.
  8. Posted this in another thread but thought I'd add it here: http://uk.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_KWA_KWA_Tokarev_TT_33.htm This is a KWA TT-33 Tokarev for just under £80. Perfect for those of you who run a Russian/Soviet inspired loadout (like me). Uses their NS2 system so it looks quite efficient. I intend to get one one some time soon.
  9. Okay I stand corrected, thanks for clearing it up Dave
  10. Ah you are a bloody tease Russe, I had just worked out the next few guns I was going to buy and then you threw a spanner in the works wih that sexy thing...
  11. Most will as it's one of the easier ways of checking you're valid. It's more of a grey area with private sales: most people will again ask for UKARA as it covers them as it's easy to check if someone's a valid skirmisher before they agree to the sale - just to cover themselves legally. But it's not the only way of obtaining a RIF as you may have an expired UKARA defence yet already have a RIF - technically you couldn't buy a new one but having your current gun proves you are/were a valid skirmisher. The whole "what constitutes a valid defence?" arguement/debate is full of grey areas to be fair. E.g. If you have a real firearms licence, are you allowed to buy a RIF? I'd say yes myself, but it's not made clear in the VCRA.
  12. That's why I have my CZ - it's decent even if it's not properly russian (Eastern bloc though). Might be tempted to get the KWA anyway as it has their NS2 style of gas system which is a lot more efficient. Only downside I can see is that it's very much a niche gun so mags are quite scarce.
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are only two Makarovs made for airsoft and both use CO2 so shoot a bit hot to be site legal. Unless I'm completely wrong of course. The Tokarev is a viable option though. I'm after one of the KWA ones: http://uk.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_KWA_KWA_Tokarev_TT_33.htm
  14. AEG shotgun... Ah we can but dream
  15. Don't be another Glock user! Dare to be different! I currently run an Umarex Elite Force 75 (clone of KWA's KZ75/CZ75) as a secondary whenever I'm not running my TM M19 6" revolver. Both are a lot of fun to shoot (the 75 clocks in at a healthy 340 fps on green gas whereas the M19 is around 240) and get a lot of looks at game sites purely because neither are yet another glock platform or 1911. I think both have been handled/fired by other people more than I have myself lol.
  16. Very much this. One of the reasons I stay clear of CO2 weapons even though the Dan Wesson revolvers look so pretty... I digress. You asked before about the Skorpion and the advice on that still stands - it's a fun gun but needs a few upgrades to be skirmishable. Namely a new inner barrel, lipo battery and a thorough gear box clean/regrease which is fiddly with AEPs due to smaller parts (and this is an AEP - whoever markets it as an AEG is just after your cash). Like Monty said: a combat machine will do you well for a first rifle. Or an ICS sportline is just as good though a lot of the parts are not TM compatable due to the split gearbox system. Fire support stock a lot of ICS gear and offer free delivery with any order that contains an ICS rif if you're on a budget (cheapest m4 they have is ~£130 with a folding stock). That said the combat machine really would be the one I'd pick out of the two though. It's just as tough/durable and the parts are easily upgraded whereas with the ICS it's a gamble with some internal parts.
  17. And now my paranoia is justified lol, thanks for that mate haha In all fairness I didn't click on to the fact that he was going to use it as eye pro - I thought he was using it just as headwear. Sorry if I in anyway misled you mate
  18. Shameless self promotion: I have an ICS mx5 a5 (MP5) for sale in the guns for sale section... But yeah JG make a good G36C, but I would have recommended a SRC Gen 3 G36C as they are usually cheaper and are as easy to run as the JG. Both though will need a spring downgrade to drop the FPS slightly to be legal for most sites (average at 350-360 out of the box from what I've read/heard).
  19. If you're after that one in particular don't get it off eBay. Go to their website where it's cheaper: http://www.epicmilitaria.com/product.php/3580/olive-green-tactical-vest Same thing, more expensive on eBay though.
  20. Depends really: the real deal are brilliant but set you back a fair bit. The china clones depend on the factory that made them. I lucked out and got a decent clone helmet off a seller on eBay which works well with actual Emerson accessories. Like I said the only thing I changed was the lense that flips down, but that was only because I'm paranoid about my ballistic glasses breaking (which they shouldn't based on their safety rating but meh).
  21. Just manned up and brought a TM High Cycle AUG plus mags... Been eyeing one up for a while now and managed to find it at a sub £300 price. Right now I'm finding a new place to hide the receipt from my girlfriend haha
  22. Always worth spare eye protection mate as nothing spoils your day more than broken eye pro. It's why I replaced the lense on my fast helmet wih a stronger one so it gives me two layers of eye pro in case one breaks.
  23. Cheap AK you can't go far wrong with the G&G combat machine or any of the later version CYMA aks. I had one of the CM028s models and it was built like a tank. Only thing is you'll need to get a weaker spring installed as these easily clear 370 fps. Here's some links: G&G Combat Machine AK47 http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=268_318_403_494&products_id=5646 CYMA CM028S http://www.taiwangun.com/en/cm-028s
  24. I have a JG Skorpion and I only started skirmishing it after I did a lipo conversion - not something I'd recommend doing if you're a beginner and it's your only gun in case something goes wrong. Don't get me wrong it's a great little gun, but I'd recommend something more practical. As others have said: an M4 platform is an ideal starter due to how easy it is to upgrade/get parts for. I would recommend, however, asking locals at your site about their guns - especially if they're not carrying an M4. Most airsofters are very enthusiastic about bragging/talking about their weapon so will be able to advise you on something a little different. They may even be nice enough to let you have a go at shooting it. Doing this you may just find a gun that you really prefer over others. Edit: Regarding Viper kit. It's cheap for a reason mate. Though their cheaper molle chest rigs are okay as a new starter, the fixed tactical vest hey do aren't the greatest in terms of quality. I've never had any problems with any viper molle pouches I've brought, but I've had issues with a lot of their other products (namely vests, goggles, knee pads, etc.).
  25. Don't know about anyone else but I'd be interested since it's not a pattern you see that regularly
