  1. Czech M53 steel helmet for £10 Can be used with both my Czech and Russian loadouts at a push. Also looks cool haha
  2. Mine arrived as well - kindly opened for me by my housemate before I got home from work -.-' Anyway will try and get some in game pics of me with it. Very pleased with the patch mate
  3. Can attest to the first bash being brilliant - nothing is more fun than jumping off a BRDM whilst under fire. Only downside was half the NATO team leaving because us Bolsheviks were thoroughly beating them. Hell we were the defenders on the first game but we got bored and charged them haha Really gutted I can't make this one, Josh has got a lot of stuff planned for it that I want to do. Definitely would recommend going if you can.
  4. Why would they put gold on a Garand? Why?!!
  5. Viper universal holster at the moment, but I'm getting one of these: http://www.tinywind.com/tactical-universal-pistol-drop-right-hand-holster-typhon-camo-p-13941.html Wraps around the pistol so can usually accommodate most pistols. Very handy considering the size of the mk23
  6. It is literally just a pullover jumper, black combat trousers, a single sling molle bag, holster, mag pouches on my belt and rubber knife. Simplest loadout in my collection naturally and also means I don't spend forever kitting up in the safe zone. Recently found out the bag I use is big enough to hold my new kwa vz61, so that is there if I need to "go loud" but 90% of the time the pistol and some sneakiness is enough - especially at night games. No pics though since I never seem to be around where the cameras are when using it. Proper splinter cell style - I'm just that good (I wish haha).
  7. Congratulations on getting one of the best pistols you'll ever own mate haha I have a loadout based around my socom - think Sam Fisher's loadout from Splinter Cell: Conviction but with the MK23 instead of his FN. Very fun for CQB sites. On topic: Recently brought some more jute, spray paint and old camo trousers. Going to revisit my ghillie project.
  8. Looking forward to getting it ready for my next skirmish. Now just have the hard part of finding a place on my rig where it's most visible haha
  9. It's not a licence mate, it's defence widely used to get around the Violent Crimes Reduction Act (VCRA). To get one you need to attend (and be registered as attending so book in) at least 3 skirmishes in no less than 2 months at a UKARA registered site. Practically every Airsoft shop accepts UKARA so it's the best (and easiest) to attain. That's to buy a realistic looking gun. For a two tone gun (51% of it painted in a bright colour/transparent) you only need to be over 18.
  10. Czech needle pattern field cap £4.90 DVD: "9th Company" £1.50 Both off eBay
  11. Yeah - friend of mine mixes .2g, .25g and .3g in a bottle and then loads each shell with the mix. He claims it makes the spread more realistic (in other words, random). I personally prefer to know where I'm pointing it is where the BBs will go haha
  12. If you play outdoors more I wouldn't go for an impact grenade. Like BC said - you'll want to be able to throw the pyro most of the time and that is stupidly dangerous with an impact grenade (weigh a fair bit). So disposable for outdoor games is a lot more practical. That said if you play mostly CQB an impact grenade is a better investment - mostly because engagements happen at closer distances and the throwing restrictions don't hinder you as much as it would at a woodland site. I have a TRMR and it is the only impact grenade I have enjoyed using purely because of how simple it is to reuse - literally twist the base off, drop in a new primer, twist the base back on, arm it and throw. Can be done very quickly without having to faff about with pins/spoons. Edit: Just be sure to check your sites limits on grenades. Some sites only allow certain brands, models, types, etc. whereas others are fine with most so long as it's not "home made". As a rule of thumb I try to stick with 9mm blanks for primers for my TRMR (unless it's woodland - in which case the 12 gauge comes out to play (where allowed)) and TLSFX mk3 thunderflash for my disposable pyro since these are "quieter" and more likely to be allowed at 90% of sites I visit.
  13. Typhon pattern dump pouch 2 x MP7 triple magazine pouches (Black) Drop leg universal pistol holster (Typhon Pattern) Single point bungee sling (Black) ~£44 with free shipping from Tinywind Was going to buy a Typhon pattern set of BDUs off them too but they weren't applicable under the coupon I was using. Next pay day will get some (maybe)
  14. Here's my baby all repainted and nice lookin', also pictured is my KWA/KSC Skorpion vz61 with it's shiny new(ish) real steel wooden grip:
  15. For that price I'd get this: http://www.airsoftworld.net/cyma-glock-18c-aep-cm030.html Cyma cm030. Just as powerful, has full auto capabilities, is easier to work on internally and fits into any holster (unlike the mp7). Add on a few hi cap mags at £10 each and smart charger adapter (£15 - Firesupport) results in a great little back up pistol. I have one myself for really cold game days when I'm sniping.
  16. What's your budget? We could probably suggest options if you wanted an smg but any AEP would be ideal if that was what you wanted it for.
  17. You can't really muck up such a simple design. It'll shoot, but the quality of it's construction may mean it won't last you long.
  18. An adequate rifle to start with, just double check that there isn't a restrictor installed in it as this drops the fps. Some rifles have them installed and others don't. If there is one then removing it will get you around 450 fps with the stock internals. As for the gun it's okay, but like any sniper rifle it needs tweaking a bit to get better consistancy with shots. This all depends on the model of course, but all of them are very similar internally. Upgrades are plentiful for it, but be sure to check compatability before buying anything. Daz at ASPUK could help you with this. Here is a list of parts he stocks for this (and similar) rifles: http://www.airsoftsniperparts.com/apps/webstore/products/category/639220?page=1 Only issue I had with my old L96 was the sheer size of it - a very long rifle. I ended up replacing it with a shorter VSR G-spec since it was more maneuverable yet just as accurate.
  19. Wilkos "Deep Mahogany" wood stain. Recently repainted my vsr stock to a natural wood pattern. First application of this looks really good. Thinking of applying it to my vz61 grip when it arrives.
  20. With my shotgun I get tighter groupings with .25gram BBs - but this is only really noticeable at woodland sites where I'm engaging at longer ranges. Like Esoterick said, in CQB you won't notice much difference. Just don't use .12gram BBs.
  21. If your gun is over 350 then you'll need a sidearm. If it's over 350 and they can't lock it then you'll need a gun to use anyway since most sites don't allow guns that can fire full auto over 350 - even if you only want to use it on semi. Can the guy doing the upgrades give you a chrono read so you know for sure what it's shooting at before you decide to buy a sidearm?
  22. The one you've picked is very much a "plinking" gun since it's manually cocked for each shot. 150 fps on .2 means you'll have to forgive people for not feeling their hits. If you want a revolver specifically then you're going to need to pay a bit more since the better ones tend to be pricey. Here's a few: Dan Wesson 4" revolver: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/Dan-Wesson-CO2-Revolver-Chrome-4-Inch_ATICG.aspx#.VM8rK9kgHTo Also available in 2.5 and 6" barrels. Uses co2 though so is in the 400 fps range (not allowed at most sites) so you'll need the power down shells available for it here: http://www.actionhobbies.co.uk/ASG-Dan-Wesson-Power-Down-Shells-6pcs-6mm-Low-Power_A17DGD.aspx#.VM8rvNkgHTo Tokyo Marui Colt Python (4"): http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?cPath=267_314_426&products_id=1862 A very reliable pistol - I had one myself. Unlike other revolvers it carries 24 rounds in itself so is a lot more pratical than most other ones that only chamber six shots. That said you'll only be hitting 200 fps using 144a gas since it isn't really built to take green gas. Tanaka S&W M66 4": http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk/airsoft/bb/product.asp?page=product&id=M66TANCHR Another quality revolver - Tanaka (along with Marushin) tend to make the better revolvers on the market that are still powerful enough to be skirmishable (240fps). Only six shots though so reloads will be time consuming. Like I said, if you're set on a revolver you have to be willing to pay more for a decent one. The spring one you looked at would be great for safety/humiliation kills but that's about all as the spring is too weak.
  23. I am in awe. A truly awesome looking bit of kit, bet you're dead chuffed with it - I would be! All credit to the guy who built it, he's done a brilliant job.
  24. Knew they were planning on releasing one, didn't know when though. Will be my next big spend once my cars mot is out the way
  25. I'm with Samurai - one of the best guns I've owned (Maruzen CA870) was a single shot shotgun. The light pump and accuracy meant I could get rounds on target faster than I would have with a tri shot. A lot of the cheaper single shots are just as skirmishable but obviously you pay for quality. A tri shot is more realistic but they aren't really a gun I'd recommend for beginners - a regular AEG would be more forgiving. Speaking from experience as my first gun was Double Eagle M56B. That said it was very cheap and very reliable - only time it didn't work was when I did something wrong haha.
