I finally got round to fixing my gun and it seems to be operating okay. Piston head is now thread locked in. I feel that there is a slight springy "twang" to the end of each shot, but not sure what I can do about that without breaking it open again; I want to get at least one game day under my belt with this thing before messing around with it more. 
 
Anyhoo, the FPS has now gone up by around 20(!), which I attribute to the new XT POM nozzle with o-ring just giving overall a better air-seal.
 
However, the gun is still exhibiting the odd effect of having a higher FPS on auto compared to semi. Applying one step of active breaking to the semi-mode brings the semi FPS up to that of full auto.

Attached is a the above expressed in a line chart. Copilot says my hardest shot comes out to 1.21 joules on 0.25g (this is using an M105 spring). I'll look to stepping down to a M100, as I really didn't expect that switching out the nozzle to one with a o-ring would "improve" things that much. The joule-age is a tad too high for me to be comfortable. 
 
Anyways, I think there is definitely some weird cycling issue here, but I can't really figure out why, or what is causing it. It's interesting that the gun appears to repeatedly peak at around 320 FPS before dropping back down to ~310FPS. Again, turning OFF all active braking will drop my shots to approx 290fps on semi (unchanged on full auto). Does anyone have any insight? 
 
(I have a video showing the pistol cycling which I'll try to link to soon, to help with diagnosing.) 

You might get lucky, I took a year off but found one of my site memberships (which is all "UKARA" is) was still accepted.
 
If you're planning to play at the same site that issued your membership, I'd ask them if they can renew it. They might be more minded to do it if you ask on-site while playing.
 
If the answer is no, you can still ask retailers if they'll sell to you anyway. They're in the business of selling, not of not selling. Some are sticklers, some don't really care, some even run their own completely bogus schemes.  You'll find a way.

If you are a child , and are having problems with an adult on the internet , perhaps it’s you that should phone the police or at least tell your parents ? Rather than go on another forum and cause more drama ?

Private sales are subject to the same laws as shops, whether or not private sellers are as strict as shops is a different matter.
 
You're right that a defence isn't needed for ownership but that's not what we're discussing here.
 
UKARA isn't the only defence and nor is it a legal requirement. A seller just has go be satisfied that the buyer is using it to play airsoft hence why on site shops can sell to players without a site membership.

Nobody said it was illegal to buy, or to own, a RIF.
 
It's an offence to sell, to import (or cause to be imported), or to manufacture a RIF, or to modify an IF into a RIF.  The same offence applies to everyone. The same defences apply to everyone.
 
In practice it's simply not enforced on anyone, retail or private, anywhere except at point of entry to the UK.
 
But this isn't Facebook or Reddit where confidence and VOLUME hold sway. In the law section here, we cite and discuss statutes, regulations and case law.

Range and accuracy:
XT 6.00 or 6.02mm inner barrel
Maple Leaf Macaron or Mr Hop 60 degree hop rubber and nub (or any other good quality hop rubber/nub combination).  I have had mixed results with the 4uantum ones (awful in a G36, superb in an ICS Masada).
 
Consistency:
Air seals: piston head, cylinder head, nozzle.
 
A Perun V3 Hybrid is strongly recommended; it gets rid of most of the giggedy bits in the gearbox and can give you much better trigger response.

Since you have the guns, and they give the dimensions of the battery, you could cut a piece of cardboard to that size and try it out, rather than trusting "Eh, it'll be fine" from us interwebs randos who have nothing to lose.  Or if you happen to have a couple of 18650 cells to hand, well, that's what those Titans are.

EX3 appears to be a "file system full" error for Invision, so just delete all the attachments and posts and we should be fine.  💡

yeah up to the task, however that price is insanely high and if you wanted reliability then SHS at half the price or Solink would have been the better option. 

I used to sell these but I was getting a reports of screws coming loose and shafts snapping so gave them the boot.

I wear this for airsoft.  It is old and a bit crap, but it does the job, rather like its owner.

Yep went down that road, had a nice prototype system knocked up but based on feedback security / gdpr was a big concern and increasing cost to the project.   I agree it's not in the interest of the controlling members of UKARA to encourage sales of 2nd hand rifs.
