about 10 years ago, HK based if I remember rightly. What are you trying to buy out of interest? I see they are doing a new gearbox design, looks interesting but looks like it will possibly only fit in APS aegs

I think (don't quote me on this) the gearbox uses their microswitch'd ETU which uses a magnet on the sector gear hmmmmm. Not sure if that's the way forward, not seen anything about the long-term reliability. Nice externals of course, but as you say pricey.

2mm banana plugs are a great option for adding a quick disconnect.

good on ya man. 3d printers like anything just have to buy one, jump in and muddle around. see some people use silicone molds for zanak casting now, handy for when you want to make more than one unit. you can make me 1000 gearbox shells if you want 🙂

Casting one-off's in your garage is possible with minimal costs, (some neat budget foundries out there). Nice little market out there I suspect.

you sure you didn't reverse the polarity of the motor?

forget the silent cylinder head / piston head combo, they're just too much trouble for little gain. The rubber is notoriously difficult to get to stick to the aluminium - I no longer sell them.

looks like the 1st tooth (the big thick one) is a little high, it could be rubbing against the top of the sector gear, but I've got zero experience of the eve so might just be a "thing". However is easy fixed grinding it down. you're right though perhaps leave it for a few games and see how it performs.

Currently out of stock on the single oring aluminium piston heads - more arriving end of the week. Really Double O-ring piston heads aren't worth the added cost in reliability and bring nothing to the table. Will remove this from the website just reminded me. The POM-H piston heads with the Viton orings are currently the most requested / purchased right now so worth checking out Also I'm not sure about the Madbull PX02, generally a lot of retailers are pulling away from the wide rack design due to it causing scratches on the inside of cylinder. Not sure if that type of piston is a requirement for that KWA? £20+ for a wide-racked MIM piston doesn't make much sense to me unless it's a compatibility thing.

What frustrated me hugely in the past was 99% of motors on a website would give the RPM but never the voltage. Some older spec pdfs used 8.4v nimh. In the end I actually purchased a chrono rotation thingy (the name escapes me now) so I could measure motors and find out the rpm. I switched to the XT motors with the little plastic fan on due to the high number of failures with Rocket and ZCI motors when used with 11.1v. Heat is indeed a killer. The brushes on the XT contain a little more silver than normal apparently, not sure if that really affects anything. Oh ask a Chinese motor factory that you want a "something TPA" motor, they won't have a clue what you're talking about 🙂 Do DE have vents in the motor grip base plate?

Never heard this before. I speak with the E&C and CYMA reps all the time. Nothing suggests this since the designs / molds are quite different from model to model.

not sure how they perform, probably similar but who knows with those Italians 🙂 I'd go for the longer version if I had to choose between them.

at 110mm you're going to struggle getting enough air for sufficient power, you'll have to compensate with a stronger spring leading to more stress on the gearbox. it's not impossible of course but comes with risks.

as @Skara remarked, paper and reality can be very different due to all the little variables. try a new battery, if you're hitting double-shots etc then maybe go up to a M110 spring. chasing rof is a lot of fun 🙂

maybe also worth doing a sound rof check just to rule out any feed issues, helped me in the past. always tricky issues.

do you only get the double-shot with 11.1? overspin. check the cut-off of course but it's most probably too weak a spring for the motor/battery combination. Short-stroke with higher spring and/or 22tpa motor can often fix, or just run with 7.4v

you've got a little bit of trim coming off the fin on the broken tappet plate, could be the delayer isn't needed? try it without just in case. also before you put it all back together check that the pickup tooth on the piston isn't rubbing against the flat part of the sector gear
