I tend to find that when I want a pistol, I have time. I do need to sit down and work out a better configuration of all my molle pouches though, so it may move.

I've been toying with getting a rubber weapon for melee kills. Just ordered an oshiboom from Red1airsoft a 1 point sling and a belt from Military1st via amazon (nothing fancy, just means I don't have to swap my current ones between loadouts)

My new holster arrived. Even this won't fit my MK23 Socom So I got to thinking. I have 2 vests that both came with lots of M4 ammo pouches I don't use. I took the double mag pouch and used scissors to cut the outter pocket of the left hand pouch away. I left the elastic and the velcro and left the right hand pouch intact. I now have a holster that fits my pistol with a pouch next to it for the silencer/barrel extension. I can even have my pistol holstered with the silencer attached.

rather than look for a nail apron, try googling bar apron. Only difference will be the colour.

How is it NOT airsoft related? Do your guns not fit in the boot?

I have the outer layer bulging out a bit, the inner layer bulging in and the middle layer cut slightly smaller so it stays flat. My thinking being that the air gap between the 3 disks will adsorb the impact. It may work, if it doesn't, its unlikely to penetrate all 3 layers. It's possible to get 2-3mm thick polycarbonate sheet for about a fiver if I find I need it.

The torch foregrip for my MP5 arrived £14 from Taiwangun is quite a good price, the torch is powerful enough to do the job. The lens though was made of very thin glass. I therefore cut several pieces of the clear plastic packaging into disks and used 3 layers of this instead of the glass. It should absorb hits by being able to flex rather than shattering the 1st time it gets hit.

Well its arrived and yep, plastic but such good quality it took a moment to be sure. The blue anodised look is actually very convincing and is kinda growing on me.

It is plastic (why would you need metal if it's non blowback?). It's a TM clone and the TM one was full plastic I believe. Unusually for a TM clone costing half the price, they actually improved the design with the inner barrel extension. It should take TM magazines. Discount codes if u need em: edit: oh you mean is it black plastic painted blue? I doubt it, the black ones are branded as ASG, the blue ones as HFC so its almost certainly blue plastic. I shall paint mine, possibly in khaki so it doesn't get mixed up with all the others at the courthouse

My view of onlybbguns.com is that they do sell a lot of poor quality stuff aimed at kids who use them in their back gardens etc, They do have a few items they sell that are good enough for use in skirmishing. Unlike other similar web sites, they have video reviews of their guns, they are actually very useful as seeing someone handle something gives a better idea of quality than a carefully lit photo. In this case I knew I wanted this particular gun and they had it £10 cheaper than anywhere else and I had a code for £5 off. If you watch a few of this guy's videos, you will realise that he's not usually this enthusiastic. He's also very good at telling you what a gun is capable of. My MP5SD for example he rated as a starter gun and it is quite capable for skirmishing but is a bit limited so he was spot on there. I wanted the ASG or HFC Mk23 socom for 2 reasons, the silencer extends the inner barrel making it very accurate for a pistol and because it is Non Blowback it is almost silent. I know a few people who use these and they are excellent.
