  11. I thought the same, to me it would take all the fun out of turning a corner and getting those intense fun moments when you meet head on with another player... Im sure some people out there would want one though. Not sure many sites would allow them if indeed they are real.
  12. So guys, Saw this last night on the no bullshit group on facebook, at first i didn't think it was real but it seems a fair few people are talking about it now as if it is. if it was/is real.... Is it a game changer? Is it fair? Is it dangerous? Could this lead the way for more weapons like the real steel version? Would you buy one?
  13. Hello All, Thought id start a thread for gamer tags on the PS4 if people fancy gaming together, much like the other thread for PC gamers. Maybe list your tag and also games your playing/interested in, then people can add as applicable. Mine is - clumpyedge Games: Battlefield 3 & 4 Alien Isolation Call of Duty: Ghosts War Thunder Looking forward to when they arrive.... Rainbow Six - The Seige The Division Day Z
  14. I've just got a pair of Z-tac ones as well and should be using them this weekend. Ill post back once I've had a play about with them. My team mate also got a pair and he noticed some static when powering them up connected to his radio but he just re soldered the connections and works fine now.
  15. Madbull tans are now like unicorn shit.... if you can find them people arnt usually willing to let them go cheap. The BBking .40's are good for being able to see your shots but what i have have experienced as a down side is poor cycling and also they are easily munched up as they can be quite "soft". Darren from ASPUK has been passing this information on to his contact at BBking and from what he has said the future looks good for heavy weight BB's in White but its just when it happens.

  18. trying to think of ways to attach a DK sight to my VK shot dot....

  19. I've found my happy middle ground as far as optics go by using a vision king shot dot scope. good fun and not overly stupid and looks pretty sleek as well. Also managed to get it on ebay cheaper than the ACOG i used to use!
  20. no complaints! just merely saying that i think i need to personally up my game and get my stamina up! shame i couldnt stick about for the sunday for the use of more of the props than what i saw, sounds like a blast! like i say ill be signing up for the next one when its announced and hopefully be a bit fitter by then hahaha!
  21. This was taken from a Facebook group so may help here..... the guy in question that asked the original question to royal mail runs a reputable company up north. With a recent reply from Royal Mail, there has been some measure of success when it comes to knowing who to post your RIFs with. Here's the reply I received last week: ------------------------------------------------------------------ "Dear Mr Liggat Thank you for contacting Royal Mail, There are no restrictions on insurance sending airsoft guns through Royal Mail. Although we do have specific packaging guidelines .Please find below: Guns for sporting use (Guns intended for sporting purposes - including Section 1 and Section 2 firearms, low-powered air weapons and their component parts - may be sent in compliance with UK law subject to any applicable controls on the possession or export of firearms) UK destinations: Yes International destinations: Yes Follow these packaging guidelines: Use 1st Class as the minimum service. The sender’s name and address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging. All items are subject to screening and a delay may be incurred if an item is deemed as suspect and sent for further checking. In order to work with Royal Mail to find any such items compliant, the non-pressurised cylinder should not be attached to the gun so we can clearly see the item is compliant. This is only relevant to guns that are acceptable in our network according to our ‘Guns for Sporting Use’ guidelines. Canisters must not be attached or contained in gun." ------------------------------------------------------------------ So basically: -1st class or greater -Senders info must be clearly visible -No pressurised containers and gas mags must be empty of gas -All magazines must be out of the gun -Insurance IS valid -Maximum size = Medium Parcel (see below) The only restriction not mentioned in the reply is that the parcel must not exceed the 'Medium' sizing restrictions or it will go with Parcel Force and essentially not be insured. To be sent through the RM, the parcel must not exceed 20Kg with maximum dimensions of 610mm x 460mm x 460mm. This may mean that you have to disassemble the RIF and send it in a box other than the one it came with. I'm sure it's obvious that this is preferable to sending it with no insurance. It's also worth noting that you DO NOT specifically need to tell them it's a RIF (but do not lie if they ask). There's no label etc that they need to put on the box. They usually will ask you what's inside so if it's your first time sending something, it can be helpful to take along their prohibited items list so you can show them it's definitely allowed Hopefully this clears things up
  22. Hi Baz, I thought id add a little something from the player side of things for the game last week. the day was really well planned and the story was very immersive which you don’t get from a lot of game days. The use of small squads of people made the day IMO play a hell of a lot better than having say 80 odd people there in total. The site from the outside I didn’t think much of and was a little demoralized when I turned up but when you get in the play area.... holy hell! It was like your very own world had opened up in front of you! At times tabbed for a good 10 minutes without even a sound of anything around me which added to the feel of being isolated from any outside help (I was on the SOF team). The organizers but in quite a bit of effort with the bases and structures that were on the site and I liked the use of vehicles for the teams (I did understand why the SOF couldn’t have any transport other than for insertion but my legs and feet were not so understanding! Haha). Pros for me. - Well organised - Large site with immersive feel - Good players (couldn’t be happier with the hit taking) - Medic rules worked well - Character drop ins worked well Cons for me - Couldn’t always get through to our team lead at HQ on the radios - Mixed/confusing messages meant we walked halfway to an objective then got recalled for something else - Needed a decision maker on the team - More use of props would be good all round All in all Baz I really enjoyed myself and I think you and the guys at Okto 8 should be very proud of what you pulled together! I think the more people that play a game with you guys the better as I think your type of milsim would suit a lot of people. Would I book again.... in a heartbeat.
