  1. The spring is there to make sure the nozzle seats against the hop rubber properly, that's all. You can definitely use O-rings but they're less forgiving of any magazine misalignment.
  2. Prepare thyself for the infinite rabbit hole of "fucking about with airsoft guns"! Rubber parts, yes hop rubber and O-rings. If your AEG doesn't have an O-ring nozzle it may be worth getting a new nozzle that does (make sure you measure it first and get the right length). Again, all parts that @ak2m4 can help you out with. If the old grease is particularly heavy handed it may be worth getting some new shims and reshimming the gears once you clean it out. Check the bore of the cylinder for any scratching/gouges, make sure the piston head is still secure and that any pad on the inside of the cylinder head isn't loose/worn/damaged. GBB is likely to be O-rings on the bottom of the mag too. Put some gas in it and submerge it to see if and where it leaks. No point changing fill valves if they're OK. Depending on the pistol you may be able to get a specific service kit for the mags (more expensive than just getting a bunch of O-rings but more likely to have the right ones). Again, take pictures and post them up in the tech threads here if you're unsure!
  3. Ah the original high rise optic mount! Good shout actually, assuming OP wants to be as cool as the rest of us in the carry handle gang.
  4. That's not entirely true. You can definitely get 6.00mm inner barrels, but the benefits don't entirely outweigh the negatives
  5. @ButcherBill just FYI - you won't be able to buy from that link. They don't ship outside the US, and it's probably ITAR restricted anyway.
  6. Chrono - yes Re-grease - yes you will need to open the gearbox up. Also worth getting a can of engine degreaser from Halfords and some fresh grease (I'm a fan of Abbey Gun Grease LT2 for gears and Abbey Silicon grease for plastic/rubber parts - all on Amazon) As for the tricky ones to work on, go slow, take LOTS of pictures during disassembly and as always - ask questions. Someone here is almost guaranteed to have done a gun like yours at some point!
  7. Gotcha. In that case I'd be looking at the GBRS Hydra style risers. Given the size of the lens on that mask I think you'd struggle with anything that would assume a "normal" cheek weld. Things like the SSG-1 work because they're designed to work with PB goggles for Lycra clad HPA players to slid about on their knees with. Or of course you could just go HPA Hi-Capa with an M4 mag adaptor and give yourself completely to the dark side.

  9. There's two schools of thought; add a specific pouch if you have a need for it and ONLY if you have a need for it, or put any pouches you want on because airsoft is fun and who says what you can or can't have. Many would argue that the average skirmish game needs neither trauma shears or a bundle of rope but it's up to you how you play toy guns in the woods. No-one else. Personally, I like a dangler pouch because it helps protect the middle age spread but also gives me somewhere to stash pyro, or keys or whatever other minor bits I decide I might need.
  10. Pete at @ak2m4 is my recommendation for parts supply. https://www.ak2m4.co.uk/index.php?route=common/home He's a regular here and is always happy to help and advise!
  11. Anything rubber will probably have dried out so yes, as you suspect it's going to be new hop rubber, gas seals etc at a minimum. Depending on what sort of lube and level of maintenance you were at when the guns went into storage then I'd certainly consider a good overall service. Batteries - absolutely. Get some new ones. If you have Nimh type ones then they've been roundly replaced by LiPo (go for 7.4v ones though). If you already had LiPo be grateful they haven't already burnt your house down and get rid! New seals are cheap, just change them over and then you can sell as "refurbished" rather than "serviced but might still leak like a sieve".
  12. I'm more intrigued to find out why they're selling them on Depop of all places!
  13. At least it isn't JBBG... The site appears to be an old farm with outbuildings that have been converted into commercial sublets. The house is likely nothing to do with any of the businesses on site!
  14. Bad shimming and/or timing will make more of a difference. That and an over active Extensor indicis.
  15. Golden Eagle do a plastic receiver as a replacement part for the TM (complete with fixings for the shitty old style split hop unit but they are all ABS (basically a direct replacement for the TM). Maybe see if you can get a Specna Flex receiver but none of them are carry handle, just flat top MK18 style stuff or a 416-alike.
  16. That's what she said! ? ......oh, wait
  17. Yep, under new management https://wolfarmouries.co.uk/blog/a-new-chapter-begins/
  18. Pretty spot on but I'd add - don't buy Nuprol batteries, look at Turnigy, Vapex or Giant Power https://www.componentshop.co.uk/batteries/airsoft/li-po-packs.html Tracer - standard threading on almost all brands of airsoft barrels is 14mm Counter Clockwise (left hand thread) so pretty much all the things that screw onto airsoft barrels are 14mm CCW too. Foregrip - as far as rail attachments go, make sure the one you get is RIS compatible (or mentions "picatinny" or "Weaver" or 22mm rail) and you'll be fine. M-Lok, Keymod et al don't fit the rail you have. As for having one or not, use the gun, work out how you feel comfortable holding it and go from there. Lots of people buy foregrips and end up holding the magwell most of the time AND THAT'S FINE TOO! Optics - I think we may be confusing Vortex with Vector here. Vortex optics definitely cover having the glass shot out and they don't care how. Vector Optics ARE very good and generally cost less than Vortex (I have several), and they do have a decent lifetime warranty but I'm not sure if they have usage caveats. That said, buy a lens protector and it won't be a problem anyway. If you're unsure about ANY of it, ask here first - you'll get loads of opinions, granted but better than buying a turd and then getting roasted for it!
  19. Nice! I was worried it was a knob gag to be fair!
  20. So you're saying you live there by choice? Weird flex, but OK.
  21. Would it come with a realistic Soolin?
  22. Cool. Can you tell me then? I didn't think I'd made one! ?
  23. They don't ship to the UK - I've tried them before.
