I don't think you can get sepearte fittings for the G&P ones but you could probably pick up the Dboys/E&C 3in1 version new cheaper than your mates one anyway. They come will all three types of fitting (including RIS).
Ah, right! You'll be needing a speedloader then! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AIRSOFT-BB-BBS-XL-470RDS-6MM-SPEED-LOADER-FAST-UK-DELIVERY-extra-large-mid-cap-/371070847315?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item56658bc953
Right, so if you just want it as a non firing prop, why do you need a magazine? The bottom part as you say completely covers the magazine anyway so you'll never see it. You can't fix the mag to the clip to be able to slap one in like the film either because the innards of the magwell don't match the magazine used in the film...
There is an airsoft Colonial Marines group that might be more able to help out though.. https://www.facebook.com/groups/426066200772765/?fref=ts
Again - Viper 3 point tactical sling. It comes with a loop that will go through the sling point on your stock and a hook at the other end for the front ring. It also has the adjustment loop and fastex clip mid length like your SA80 sling does which will allow you to carry it in multiple configurations. Plus, being Viper - it's dirt cheap.
Have a look at the Viper 3 point tactical sling. It has a similar system to the one you already have but it also has a hook that will work with your front sling hole.
Nothing off the shelf will fit perfectly. But if you look on the DIY thread you'll see how to mod the mask to fit better. Any decent set of goggles will work fine but you'll need to make the effort if you want to minimise fogging. Revision Desert Locust seems pretty popular, could also try Bolle X1000 or my personal preference ESS V12 Advancers.
No, but your reply could easily have been misinterpreted.
Just FYI, JT Sports, Dye, Sly and Proto are all decent makers of paintball masks (among other kit) that are more than acceptable for airsoft use.
Maybe you should do a bit of research then.
JT sports have been around for donkeys years in the paintball world, they make good if not stellar gear. That mask is absolutely fine but will probably fog up quicker than a peados glasses on a rainy day in the playground.
I've got to say - if I'd wanted to shlep around the woods in combat gear carrying a gun in the pissing rain getting wet and cold for 8 hours at a time, I'd have joined the army.
Snow intrigues me though. Cold I can do, cold and wet? Fuck that for a game of soldiers.
(see what I did there?)
Not exactly, but close. I have a CM045A.
It's built like a tank inside and out. Good gears and well made GB shell. Standard V3 box so very easily upgradeable. RoF is fair but nothing too blistering. Accuracy is....alright. It's a pretty short barrel so don't expect miracles as standard. That said, a decent hop rubber and TBB should do well to sort that out.
Very well put together gun that is all metal apart from the foregrip and pistol grip (wood and plastic respectively on mine). For such a small gun it's pretty weighty. Most of the major components are pinned together so a set of punches would be a good investment if you plan on taking it apart much and don't want to wreck the pins. Gearbox removal is pretty simple. Nozzle is a clear hard plastic number which looks a bit fragile to me but time will tell.
Upgrades? Fill your boots. Standard V3 stuff all round. If you want to use a tracer you may have to do what I did and cut the very end of the inner barrel down. When you unscrew the flash hider the inner barrel extends by about an inch or so which covers the sensor in a tracer and stops it working. Sight mounting options ARE a little limited. The short length of the AKS74U means some soviet scope side mounts don't fit properly. There IS a little rail adaptor that can be fitted into the rear leaf sight but that does require drilling and tapping the top cover (plus you'll have to buy it from the US). To be fair, at the kind of ranges it works best at iron sights are fine or a red dot at most.
Interesting idea. I was wondering about rigging up something similar myself! I guess how it looks it dependent on how well you route the pipe. You could probably tuck it all away at the back of a helmet, but I don't wear one so.....
Try the good people of Heroshark http://www.heroshark.co.uk/
If you specify the type of goggles you wear he'll custom cut the mask to the right shape for you!
Sounds like you need to get a mesh mask and mod it as per Brightcandles suggestion. Having tried the smaller lower face only type masks and then getting shot IN the ear, I'd certainly recommend sticking with the bigger masks like the Raider style if you can!
