A torch would certainly be advisable! Just a cheap one will work for a kick off though.

OK. The OP specifically was asking about a G&G. The post by Tad said "why not buy it new" implying that he was referring to the gun that was referenced by not only the OP but also other posters. I was pointing out that the gun Tad recommended wasn't what the OP was asking about. There was no mocking involved merely pointing out a fact.

Yes, you can use an HT motor with a Nimh but you won't get the best performance out of it. I've run mine standard on a 7.4v LiPo and it's pretty decent as is. I'd try it before you start ripping it apart...

He also has a Lotus Exige and an X5 (M-sport package one with the big f-off V8 - does even less MPG than his DB9). Plus a couple of sports bikes...

I loved driving my mates TVR. V8s are the way forward! When he ditched the TVR he went onto a Dodge Viper which was hilarious (until you tried to park it because it was as wide as Guildford) and now he drives an Aston Martin.
