  1. Well, the mag catch will wear off with co2. The metal is still rather soft. Still better than we though. It's still my best performing pistol to date (i've had countless) function wise with gas and snappiness. Accuracy and range wise it's only ok because the stock barrel and hop and not really interchangeable (the tnt one kinda works, but not really any better).
  2. With all the maple leaf stuff and a nice barrel, and at around 1-1.1 joules with 0.25s or higher, 60m should be easy. It's what I regularly try to get with all the aegs I have had. Anything less is not enough for me unless the power output is not quite there. People forget that 50m really isn't that far.
  3. Steel barrel and trades I believe. Not really worth imo. The stock kjw one without trades is even cheaper at around £100 if you can find one. The coating on it is the same on all versions and tbh it isn't that great. I got mine cerakoted in silver and it's much better.
  4. Yes, I occasionally go pistol only in woodland games. Best performing one I had was the kjw 1911 on co2. Was amazingly accurate and worked decent in cold, misty weather.
  5. "Can't promisse any money at start, but we would share agreed percentage on the finished products" I really think you need to rework your business plan before you take someone on board to make stuff for you. If I was a candidate, that kind of phrase would make me run away faster than a speeding bullet. IMO, it's either you pay them upfront for their work or it's nothing. Because, as you said, it's risky and you've not shown that there is market potential for these kinds of products. So if you do happen to take on some talented person on an agreed percentage, and the business flops, that talented individual has worked hard and wasted much of his time for diddly squat. After all, it is your dream, not theirs. For most airsoft/robotics projects, python should be adequate and there are a lot of free learning resources out there.
  6. They're ok, but nothing special. Had one of their M4s before. The recoil is noticeable but it's just a kinda feels like a rubberband being pinged at you. Looking at patrolbase atm, around 350+ for one of those things. I can't really say i'd recommend it. A TM recoil M4 has much nicer externals.
  7. Unfortunate that I have to sell everything because I got slapped with 1.3k dental fees. Oh why did I not just get braces when I was younger 😕

Are you not with an NHS dentist?

Yes but there are some procedures that I need that arent nhs covered, so most of the cpst goes towards that.

  8. The king arms ones are better than the kjw ones and they have the adjustable fps bolts right off the bat. Available too right now... but on places like justbbguns for some reason ahha
  9. Long time bump but the test has ended. I wrote a final summary here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1UEbdWLlQ0mhU6KDJK4WMe1JZ5D6dEQYOkyd7ipUBJ2s/edit?usp=sharing During the time of the test, I have further iterated a superior version of it with textured sides: Which looks like this: The biggest obstacle currently is money ahah. I will have to get some of that first. Work + sell off a bunch of stuff.
  10. A maple leaf crazy jet will lower it a decent bit if you havent got that for it already
  11. "Patent fire control system without hammer" Well... that's not gonna stop the clone manufacturers
  12. Hate to say it but the ssg10 is up your alley. It does work decent out of the box. You mean this stock? It's available as a separate piece: https://www.wgcshop.com/products/maple-leaf-mlc-s2-stock In terms of tuning, gas sniper rifles require the least amount because they don't have to hold any heavy springs for prolonged periods of time. Most of the just need a new hop bucking and barrel and you're set. They're my favourite kind of sniper rifles but you have to work around the gas performance fluctuations.
  13. I mostly buy parts and that's from AK2M4. If I do buy a new gun, generally Airsoftworld has served me well.
  14. I had the Korth PRS, it was shit. When you see the real korth prs, you see the nice shiny, smooth steel. What do you get with the ICS? A flimsy pistol with horrific external coating. Like wtf is that shit on the outside? It's like a matte, rocky finish that feels like plastic. I'd rather take WE's terrible chrome finish to what the Korth has. Performance was also "meh". It was ok but it has a really weak recoil spring which made the impulse feel mushy. I bought it for £150 off taiwangun at the time which was a robbery. Seem to be on sale for £125 on firesupport right now which is still a robbery.
  15. I have always wondered, in my 10+ years of being into airsoft, if any authority has ever cared about painting an airsoft in any way...
  16. Soaked. Soaked to fuck. Removed my gloves for one game because they were soaked, got both middle and ring finger shot which are now bruised and swollen in a nice purple colour. Goggles fogged up to fuck all day. People left one by one because of the weather. When it ended, walked for 30 min in torrential rain with no cover and sat on the bus for an hour with all my stuff laid out everywhere on the top floor. Still was a decent day though.
  17. Not done it before but I've heard that you need to remove the trap door first
  18. You're pretty much looking at the KWC 1911s like this: https://www.bullseyecountrysport.co.uk/cybergun-colt-rail-1911-kwc--co2-stainless-15812-p.asp There are several variants around but they're all the same internally. They work on CO2 so they're loud, make nice metal noises, and has decent enough performance. Tolerance and quality control isn't the greatest but you get what you pay for. Pretty much best in slot for a "realistic" metal pistol in this price range.
  19. I mean this happens everywhere and in every hobby. The key part is doing your own research rather than just blindly buying what someone recommends. But in general, if most people recommend something, then there is a good chance that it is good.
  20. I'm obsessed with gas sniper rifles...

    1. Impulse

      Impulse

      Yesss! Join the club! :D

I can't go back to spring any more. I have a spring VSR as well as my CO2 one, but I never want to use it.

Ye I cant get get the same satifaction from spring rifles. The sounds, real mag placement, and making the chaotic gas work just feels better. Main limitation yesterday with my m40a5 was working around the fps drop after firing quickly.

  21. Just buy thermal imaging goggles/binoculars. Pretty simple.
  22. Exactly, tear that shit out and replace it with something that works only costs half the value of the gun itself
  23. Ye that sounds like cut off lever issues. Happens on my v3 gearbox atm too. It may be that it's worn down from use and doesnt have enough strength to pull back that trigger trolley when partially engaged. The easiest solution imo is a mosfet like a gate titan that optically detects the gear movement and forces it to stop at the same place every time.
