  1. Didnt this happen before where the prize was £20 per person which made the tournament effectively pointless given the green fees ate it up?
  2. Id say get your foot measured from some experts at mountain ware stores and they'll probably recommend something useful. I have rather small and thin feet for my height and they recommended the scarpa rush trek gtx which fits so much better than the heavy army boots I used to use. Been using those since without a bother.
  3. I love sniping but for a different reason to most people. For me, the point of getting a sniper rifle is simply to outrange AEGs. I play the exact same aggressive, run-amok style as I would with an AEG but further away. It's fun because you get people trying to duel you 50m away and watch as their BBs drop before your feet, and you can still accurately pick them out no problem. But of course, stealth can be a fun option too. Contrary to what everyone says, i'd recommend getting a "shoot-good-out-da-box" sniper rifle because not wasting time and effort on fiddling about with compatability parts is valuable, especially with the hop which can take forever to get right if you don't have a personal range (waiting every two weeks to test once on a game day, and have it not work as predicted is painful). The least expensive option seems to be the (yes really) novvy ssg stuff, then followed by the TAC41P at £372 from firesupport. Then everyone seems to praise the steyr scout at £400. At £400+ there's the SRS and the new B&T SPR300 which I plan to get a hold of soon. Probably some more out there. But, it is up to you.
  4. Im having a similar situation with airsoft world right now for over 4 weeks. Going to have to issue chargeback.
  5. So tempted by this: https://www.defconairsoft.co.uk/product/bt-air-spr300-pro-tan/

Looks really cool, steel internals, real mag placement, good hop, what more can you ask for?

  6. So uh... some you of guys may remember this: Or this: And maybe this: Well, I'm glad you're back! Because here comes the fourth iteration which combines the strengths of each previous model. I'll keep this short and sweet. As per usual, the MOSQUITO is a 3D printed, open-source airsoft kit that is super compact and lightweight. This newest iteration now only requires an AK-style V3 gearbox as there is now a custom 3D printed hop-up chamber. In addition, from the above images, there is now a front and rear wired battery solution so that you don't have to get angry at me anymore for having to rewire your gearbox. You can find the STL and STEP files on the Printables page here: MOSQUITO Airsoft Kit (Open Beta 2) by HYBRID AIRSOFT | Download free STL model | Printables.com There is also an 86 page handbook that I wrote up which details the 3D printing and assembly steps (have fun with that). I hope you guys with a 3D printer can try it out. If you get stuck or want to discuss anything, the easiest way to get help is to join the discord server (1500+ members), linked at the bottom of the Printables page, and there will be people more than willing to answer your questions about the kit. This test will now run indefinitely until I release a final version of it (whenever that happens). Thank you for reading and have fun printing
  7. Looking at getting red dot + magnifier for sniper rifle... am I insane? I've noticed I don't really go above 3x on scopes and I play sniper aggressively.

I used to run a 4x mag battle sight on my DMR. Never understood the need for 1x mag, cos you can splat them just as easily at 4x with a battle sight, because the field of view is so good. No, the fov isn't as good as a red dot, but your other eye should be open anyway, so it's not really an issue in practice.

p.s. no, wait... they seem to be about a million pounds these days. I'll get my coat.

Pardon me but it’s airsoft so the only way to deck out your replica and gear is …. Drum roll ….HOW YOU DAMN WELL LIKE! (Besides, x3 magnification is ample for most airsoft uses)

  8. Ive used a lot 1911s in the past. Pretty much the best options are TM or KJW co2. I don't know if they're still around but secutor had some really nice co2 1911s called the rudis. they took KJWs co2 1911s, gave them a better coating and some cool cuts. I had the both the rudis II and magna (RMR) and they were great pistols until I sold them for a change. KWC models are "ok". They look and sound cool, shoot ok, but their build quality is crap. Bad tolerances, insane slide gaps and rattle, and co2 mags close their seal often. ICS have their PRS korth or BLE vulture as it is called now. Takes 1911 style mags, probably co2 ones too because of the enlraged magwell. the PRS korth was dog doodoo through and through. The ble vulture seems to be an improved version but I have not played with that one so I cannot say. King arms made 1911s in the past with their predator series which have room for co2 mags. Had one, wasn't good, never saw one again. VFC have their 1911 kimber but doesn't seem to be well received...
  9. Saw this in production a while ago (a year?) and recently seen videos of testing: And i've always thought, is there a point to this thing? Market is already saturated with 1911s, plus it uses the skinny gas mags and not co2 which will struggle in performance. Sure it's nice n steel but I can't imagine seeing these being anywhere not a display shelf.
  10. This makes me want to buy all the guns I wanted 10 years ago and review them.

Once again in the mood for something cool, and gas sniper rifles seem to always do the trick. Show me what you got.

    £6,969

  12. I was planning to buy one too and display it on the shelf but in the beautiful flare-gun orange 😁
  13. For me, around 2010 was the golden age. We had... Justbbguns.
  14. After reading this: https://www.tacticalbrute.com/best-airsoft-sniper-rifles/ I think that's a hard skip.
  15. I saw that, put a black r45a1 in basket until i saw the minimum shipping for £13 for me. I don't want to pay £40 for a paperweight thanks.
  16. Pretty much: rotary hop up, maple leaf omega nub, maple leaf bucking (mr ones are prett good), and a zci 6.02 barrel for range and accuracy. All you can get from our favourite supplier AK2M4 :)
  17. Haha, just imagine being born now and living to 20 again, still quite a fairly long time. Regarding good cqb rifles, the asg scorpion evo is quite universally liked. It works well at long range too. In airsoft, longer barrel doesn't equal longer range, so go ham.
  18. The main issue with 33g stocks are that 33g co2 capsules are exorbitantly expensive. 12g is roughly 30-50p depending if you buy bulk or not. 33g cost £8-10 individually and it's very hard to get them in bulk. Let's say 3x 12g capsules = 1 33g capsule. It's still around 6x the cost (10/1.5) which is insane. Not very economical to run and hard to get a hold of. Haven't seen anyone use them at all.
  19. My guy... I don't think people are going to pay £600-800 for a custom slide when they can go on raindow8 and buy something like this for a fraction of that. Not even steel slides, or entire steel pistols for that matter, cost what you are asking for.
  20. And I'm still getting messages from stuff I've posted 4-5 years ago..............................................................................................................................................
  21. That does sound pretty screechy but tbh no one is going to care. Adds to the loudness if that's what you're after.

  23. Well…. It’s this time again… So, some of you may have seen my previous posts in the past about the alpha and beta test. Well, now, here is another one: the MOSQUITO open beta test. This is the third iteration of the MOSQUITO which is an open-source, modular, 3D-printed airsoft kit designed to take a V3 gearbox and hop-up chamber from a TM-based AK platform and turn them into a pure menacing machine on the airsoft battlefield, being super compact and lightweight with the same fire power as any other gun. Capable as both a primary weapon or as a sidearm backup. Able to be HPA'd as well. The first iteration was very basic and did what was necessary: The second iteration refined a lot of the functions and aesthetics: This third iteration completely overhauls the design and enhances the printability of the model: It now has beautiful and durable textured sides on many of the parts, a reworked and more reliable magazine catch, a completely reworked and ingenious battery grip solution, and many more changes. But primarily, the MOSQUITO is now open-source meaning you can make one too! It has been designed to be as easy to print as possible. The main features of the MOSQUITO: Compact - measuring only 590mm unfolded and 383mm folded Lightweight - weighing only around 1.5kg when fully assembled (AEG form) Modular - easily swap parts out with a few pins (more to come in the future) Clever battery grip solution - a small gun doesn't have to mean a small battery Never fear for spare parts - open-source allows parts to be forever available What will you need to make it work? V3 gearbox (TM AK based) Complete AK hop-up chamber (inc barrel and bucking) Stick type battery (max length 112mm, width 21mm, height 19mm) MP5 magazines (CYMA for best compatability) If you are after a tiny platform that packs a huge punch, this is it. Woah there, single file please. So, how to participate in the open beta test? You can purchase a kit from me which includes everything (send me a message). Or, if you have your own 3D printer, you can download the 3D files and have a go at printing it yourself. Or, you can ask someone to make one for you. If you decide to make one yourself, you will have to source the screws and components yourself. Most are common parts and can be found in online stores. I have made a guide for both 3D printing and assembly instructions which list the parts required and they can be found at the bottom of the both Printables and GitHub pages. If you decide to partake in the test, I'd highly consider joining the HYBRID AIRSOFT discord server to provide feedback and discuss the kit. The test will run from now to some time in June. No final date yet. 24. No. There's a review out there with pictures in french where the internals are not m24 compatible as they said. It's a 45 degree proprietary firing system. It looks cool af and I still want one. But for practicality, best avoid unless you can make custom parts yourself.
  25. The as03 fixes that. But then it introduces another problem of porting the cylinder so that your output is thoroughly fixed at 1.5j ish. Can be fixed with tape but it's ugly. Even if you fix that, the bolt pull is still the most unwieldly thing ever.
