Fantastic, cheers Dave. Here's a potentially daft question...do you hydrate the piston O-ring at all? I'll probably get the rubber and spring now and then get the barrel with the wage packet in May. I'll probably post results when I get them. I can vouch for the green g&g rubber. I put one in my SCAR and it is very good. Added a nice consistency as well as a bit of range that I couldn't hit. Not tried a blue yet. Do the fish bone nubs make as much difference as the websites say?

Rather than starting a new thread; I bought a set of these the other day: http://www.airsoftworld.net/acm-pro-goggle.html A clone of the marui version. I'll be testing them out at a skrim on Sunday. It's more for the fan than anything. I will be wearing a pair of shooting glasses underneath too as I don't know how good the lenses are ( they appear to be solid but I aint risking that shizzle). I sat with them on after work in a very warm room for ages and let them fog up, then turned on the fan. Cleared in 20 seconds or so.

Hi all! Right, I've decided it is time to upgrade my UMP's internals when I get paid mid May. The situation is that has started to loose it's power by around 5 - 10 fps (not necessary the issue) and the range has dropped considerably (more the issue). I put in a m105 spring made by element, but it now only hits 260ish fps as opposed to stock fps of 325. I have concluded that element springs are shite as I had one for my p90 (an m100) that only reached 240ish fps. My questions are: What spring would you recommend? What hop rubber would you recommend? Would a tightbore be recommended? If so, what length? Would any cylinder heads, pistons etc be recommended? (I think this part of the gearbox is fine; gears all still look pristine). I would assume an m100 spring from madbull, g&g green or blue hop rubber and a madbull 6.03 barrel at a length closest to the stock barrel, but I wanted to see what you guys think before I act. Also worth noting; 205mm stock barrel is currently installed. Adding a 363mm barrel made range and accuracy worse and increased fps to 380! Compression appears to be fine at the moment. Hi guys, A friend has the JG (I think) AUG and he has lost the silver part circled in the picture below. What is the part called and where can he get one from? All we know at this stage is that it holds the barrel into place and he is currently holding it together with elastic bands! Thanks in advance, Andy

Just bought: Marui FN 5-7 mags x2 Double mag pouch M105 spring M100 spring (playing around with my scars fps etc) G&G green hop rubber I'm now at that stage where new gearbox parts are very exciting to me!

In September, I was paired with a young lad, maybe as young as ten (parents were on site and in the game) and he was brilliant! He listened to me when I was communicating to him, he made a few good suggestions....he even took down a guy with an m60e with a Cyma mp5 hire gun! He lay down cover fire and didn't rush in like an idiot....wasn't even my son and I was still proud haha!!! Only had one bad experience with a Codsofter. He had a bright green m4a1 (SRC I beleive) and he wouldn't take his hits....even if it was painfully obvious that he had been hit from only a few feet away. Needless to say, most of the hires were lads on a stag do....the Codsofter suffered afterwards! He became the objective for every mission.
