GiantKiwi reacted to Spatch in The Whisk(e)y thread
Jack is not whiskey, it is bourbon, a very different thing indeed, a far better alternative to Jack is Wild Turkey, far better and smoother than JD without the incipid after taste
I currently have a 45 year old bottle of single barrel Talisker open which is drunk straight with literally a drop or 2 of water to release the true flavours but people should drink anything the way they best enjoy it, puritans who declare it is heracy to drink with mixers should grow up and enjoy it for what it is

GiantKiwi reacted to jcheeseright in "New" airsoft shop... What do you want to see?
the only problem with custom stuff is cost, materials are cheap, time is not, lots of customers (and airsofters especially) don't seem to see this.

GiantKiwi got a reaction from Unrustle_Thine_Jimmies in SRC AKS74U Gas blowback thoughts?
My god someone else bought one. Do not buy them. Want an AK GBBR, get a WE or a GHK.
Was given one to fix a few weeks back -
Owner claimed no more than 50 mags had been through it - Internals were pulverized.
Go to get spare parts to replace pretty much everything inside - No one stocks them, go to a few separate distributors, who incidentally don't stock them. Go to SRC direct....."Sorry we don't make spares yet" This gun has been out for over 3 years, yet they've not made any spares?
Hand gun back to a miffed owner, who now has nothing but a wall hanger.

GiantKiwi reacted to Chrisdut in Cadet thread.
Am in the ACF myself, have been for 21 years in total now, joined when I was 14 and then became an instructor when 18
Now a Sgt Major and also the County Shooting Officer for my county (Cheshire ACF)
All good fun haha

GiantKiwi reacted to n1ckh in Cadet thread.
The cadet forces are exactly like the armed forces
They all say there in the best force and regiment, squadron or detachment
Yes there are pillocks in all of them, its just part of the course, there will always be rivalry and who's the best
All forces will do the same but also have there own tasks to do
My simple point is, that without eachother, then we wouldn't get anywhere
Who transports the army abroad ?? The royal navy and royal airforce
And while we're at it - bullies are pathetic people who's life is sh*t, so the only way they can feel better is by making people who they feel deserve it, make that persons life miserable
People who have killed themselves because of bullies, these bullies should be shown the misery and heartache caused to the families of the people who took there lives
I was bullied for 2 years because I had a different accent, most of the bullies are junkies, dole dossers or in jail
I despise bullies

You've got to love the ghurkas
We had some attached my army platoon and there idea of a jog was a full on 20 mile round sprint in full gear cause they were bored, so glad I didn't go along
They are certainly a hard bunch of guys physically and mentally

Yes it was, it is Combat Machine with GHK box in it. AEG Conversion. /EOD

And I'm telling you from owning the WA and WE spec versions, that neither will work on an AEG spec receiver, I have tried. The pitch on the threads are considerably different.

Nope. Tightbores are for grouping, not range. look to a 6.08+. And changing the hop rubber in it will make little to no difference, as it already has a G&G Green in it.

Why does everyone make iPhone apps first? For cost effectiveness, first port of call should always be Android.
Devices can be got for £30 (Not Kidding either - http://www.techradar.com/news/mobile-computing/tablets/seriously-cheap-android-tablet-hits-the-uk-for-30-1208145), and you don't have to pay to publish.
"But more people use iDevices.."
No, they don't - http://www.idc.com/prodserv/smartphone-os-market-share.jsp
This I'm afraid just shows another company not doing sufficient market research...

GiantKiwi reacted to TheFull9 in Load-Out / Loadout Picture topic
Nobody was making quite what I wanted, so I had a custom PC made up. Just the plate panels and shoulder straps here obviously, the cummerbund is a stock product.
I've built it up with pouches etc since this picture, not taken a shot of that just yet though.

GiantKiwi reacted to Liam1992 in The Unnerving Truth About JBBG Bulldog BB Pellets
Had a Cadet Sgt try to pull rank on me once. I would like to suggest that from behind he didn't recognise me from another Cadet (Bearing in mind it was a Cadet ran exercise I was helping out on) but I was wearing PCS, everyone else in the queue including several Cadet Officers/SNCO's all in DPM, tried to call me out for jumping the queue.
Truth be told I hadn't jumped the queue, I left the queue and then rejoined. Said young Cadet Sgt tried to call me "effin queue jumping !"£*%£$", then I turned round and he realised who he was talking to and continued to rant in an attempt to save face. Said individual spent the remainder of the morning experiencing different corners of the training area. Sucker!
As for BB's, Blaster Devil .25's so far, never had a problem in the short time I've been playing.

GiantKiwi reacted to Monty in Sending gas guns/gas magazines
Please note that as the seller, you are responsible for ensuring the goods are given the best possible chance of reaching their destination intact and as described.
It's also important to note that all couriers now require any gas magazines to be completely empty of gas.
We recommend all sellers check the terms-of-carriage of any chosen courier service. This is particularly important as some couriers will not carry RIF/RIF parts, gas/gas containers (including items such as magazines) or other airsoft-related goods.
We also recommend that buyers check whether their goods are limited by any restrictions in order to make sure the seller sends the goods via an appropriate carrier in order to reduce the risk of a sale falling into dispute.
Thank you,
