  1. It gets pretty boring quite quickly on the real deal. It's fun having a GBBR though, no gearbox to worry about.
  2. A while back I made a foray into threading my MP5's outer barrel for 14mm where the 16-14mm adaptor screws in. I made a test thread adaptor and it didn't work with the coarse die and tap I had used. I was in fact told by the technician that it needed a fine thread to work with the outer barrel and any muzzle pieces like flash hiders or suppressors.
  3. Not to mention keeping the sun off you're neck and the wider brimmed ones being useful in rain
  4. 3 points are a little difficult to set up (or even attach to a rifle) and OP won't see the benefit of an SA80 sling without a rifle that has side mounted sling loops. He's better off with a single point bungee sling or a King Arms 2 point sling.
  5. I might be a little late to this thread but one of my mates (who's a real enthusiast for Soviet kit) has a Silverback PP-19, and it is l-o-v-e-l-y to fire and use. The mags fit in a Chicom style chest rig's pouches and it is indeed very accurate for a stock weapon. It's lasted longer than his Dboys AKS-74U and he's run the PP-19 for about 3 years without problems.
  6. Hate to be THAT guy, but the P08 was around before the Nazi party was
  7. Something I learned to do is to turn the hop off completely before changing inner barrels. The nub can be displaced by the hop window's edge as it pulls along it.
  8. Goodbye UK, helllooooo Barcalona!! :D

  9. ^^That too. It's better to slow down, consolidate your options and look forward to something rather than buy it straight away
  10. Officially start working at my local tomorrow :D I'll be able to serve drinks under supervision when I'm 17 as well :D

  11. http://www.cadetdirect.com/gen-2-battle-belt-coyote-tan-mollepals http://www.cadetdirect.com/hharness-tan-mollepals http://www.cadetdirect.com/rigger-style-nylon-belt-tan (necessary as the condor battle belts don't come with a fastening belt, they're more like a MOLLE covered hip-pad) http://www.cadetdirect.com/coyote-tan-triple-open-top-556mm-mag-pouch I'm sure you can find other stuff easily in tan- Cadet Direct's an ok site except for the prices, some stuff's cheaper there and some stuff's more expensive- I only use them because of the massive range of products they have
  12. ^^That's fine for the job, albeit a little shiny Some spray paint/wear & dirt will sort it though
  13. The MAV's shape is held better if you have a triple mag pouch/3 singles on the front. I have a single and a double open topped pouch with my Admin panel on the front keeping them rigid, and the panel's pouch is also good for speed loaders. I also wear a camelback with a 3L bladder which lasts me all day. I think you'd be much happier if you used a yoke on a belt rig as it distributes the weight of mags, water bottles etc between your hips and your shoulders. The battle belts have a tendency to slip down without them. I don't think there are any battle belts/belt rigs designed to be attached to trousers, as users would generally want something that can be taken off quickly without fiddling around with their trousers.
  14. Unfortunately, Flex, swapping out coloured parts for realistic ones counts as 'Manufacturing' a RIF which is indeed illegal without a valid defence. The OP is better off buying a 2-toned AEG off Zero One or somewhere and using removable sniper tape on the coloured parts which OP can take off at the end of a skirmish.
  15. Just got back from a week away with cadets. Got to fly in a Merlin MK3 for a helicopter borne assault :D

ahhh thats so unfair, i got to fly a grob tutor once? ffs i wish we had cooler stuff to do like fly bloody helicopters :'(

  16. Unless it's got a manual action it can't be classed as an airsoft sniper rifle. And unless the AEG/GBBR isn't locked to semi it can't be classed as a DMR either. Unfortunately for you you're going to have to replace the spring with an M100/M120 spring to get under the limit.
  17. I was sweating under it in my MAV- there was a dark patch the exact shape of the rig on my t-shirt underneath, and this was in February
  18. Great for field exercises though
  19. I've got this for games outside of summer: It's a lovely bit of kit. The side pockets are brilliant dump pouches too
  20. ^this, or buy a cheap CYMA AEG and open it up and have a look around. I used to think gearboxes were horribly complex and I was afraid of opening my old MP5's one, but as soon as I did it was a lot more simple than I thought. I even managed to give it a good clean out, corrected the angle of engagement of the gears and re-greased it properly
  21. Bit expensive for what it is, and even I wouldn't want to muck about with a P* even despite considering myself fairly handy- but good luck to you P* are supposed to be great for DMR platforms as well so maybe you could get an M14 set up for one? That's make a real change seeing as most P* i've seen have been in AR-15 pattern weapon format
  22. It would help if we knew which gun it was, unless you're still playing silly buggers and not letting us know so we can help you get it cheaper from elsewhere?
  23. I'd love to see a recoil shock L85 or SVD AEG. With TM's legendary hop the SVD would be epic
