Has anyone noticed Covid spikes after gatherings

No personal attacks; just my belief and my viewpoint, based on your posts, especially the one that assumes that I hate a culture ;). -
Has anyone noticed Covid spikes after gatherings

I cannot quite work out whether you are just looking for an argument or whether you are somewhat dense. At the moment, based on the evidence, I am tending towards the latter. Come back when you can string together a reasonable argument without making unsupported assumptions. I won't be holding my breath while I wait. -

No, I am not: I am not sure how you managed to reach that conclusion from my posts. I have no problem with anyone believing anything that is: 1. Not potentially harmful to others. 2. Not contradicted by all know relevant facts. Now, based on your post, I am almost convinced that you should have no problem with, for example, those who "believe" that the Holocaust did not happen or who believe that their religion requires them to kill gay people, apostates and women who dare to break the rules. After all, those are just their beliefs and viewpoints. -

When those viewpoints are clearly delusional and are damaging to our understanding of, for example, the nature and spread of this virus, that is potentially harming all of us. It is somewhat similar to the deluded fools who "believe" in Q, that Trump won the election and who attacked the Capitol. Based on your comment, I can only conclude that you have no problem with, for example, those who "believe" that the Holocaust did not happen or who believe that their religion requires them to kill gay people, apostates and women who dare to break the rules. After all, those are just their beliefs and viewpoints. I know someone who believes that COVID does not exist and that the vaccines are designed to enable "them" to monitor and control us. Consequently, he refuses to get vaccinated or to wear a mask. But, hey, those are just his beliefs; that he could quite easily be spreading the virus is irrelevant, -

While it is very likely that COVID-19 escaped from the Wuhan lab, it shows no evidence of having been man made. It does show all the characteristics of being a naturally occurring virus. I am not a virologist, but have a friend who is. Similarly to many virologists around the world, his team have been studying this thing from the start; there is no evidence whatever that it is man made. Incidentally, I was in Wuhan in December 2019; there were reports of a cluster of pneumonia cases in the days before I flew home on 17th December. As for Omicron being "trucked in" to Africa, that is not at all supported by any of the evidence; the same is true of your bizarre claim that Tredos (I assume you mean Tedros) is a member of the CCP (actually the CPC) as he is neither Chinese nor a citizen of the PRC. Given your apparent deep knowledge of China, I assume that you have travelled extensively in that country and can talk with the locals. Belief is less valid when it is not based on facts and is based on delusional conspiracy theories. Why should those who propagate conspiracy theory nonsense be tolerated? -

Be careful posting stuff like that; the black helicopters will be coming to get you. -
Will a zci high toque motor go well with 16:1 gears
colinjallen replied to steverebo's topic in Electric Guns
All of this is based on the assumption that you currently have 18:1 gears. You will get slightly better trigger response; theoretically, your ROF should go up to 19.7rps (17.5x18/16). However, stated gear ratios are not always 100% accurate. If you want to go a little higher and still retain good trigger response (although not as good as with the ZCI), I would recommend the SHS High Torque motor which, according to the stated performance, should get you up to around 21.5rps. Of course, all this depends on other factors so any figures given are, at best, approximate. Shimming and motor height can both make a difference. -

That rather depends on what you regard as a decent rate of fire. I have the same motor/gear combination in two guns. One runs on 7.4v and gives what I would regard as a decent rate of fire; the other runs on 9.9v and gives what I would regard as a rate of fire that verges on being wankerish. I only use semi and the setup gives very nice trigger response, especially on 9.9v. -

Wow! You would probably do well to lay off whatever you are on; it is seriously affecting your ability to discriminate between conspiracy theories and reality. -

I am just looking forward to getting out next weekend for the first time since tearing an Achilles' tendon. Today's "airsoft day" involved replacing yet another failed Gate PicoSSR.
-
Have you asked Zero One?
-
No; just let it turn itself into a RIF.
-
-
Indeed!
-
Shipping costs are high; however, a RIF that is 50p over the £135 minimum rather than 41p under has a delivery cost of £23.50.
-
You can now buy items from Gunfire with a total value of less than £135 but the system automatically adds UPS Saver shipping, which is currently £51.35.
-
Maybe buy a high torque motor, possibly combined with lower ratio gears. That would be a damned sight cheaper than buying a new gun. You could also maybe fit a basic mosfet.

One thing to consider is site insurance; when we had insurance, one of the conditions was: No guns that have a gun velocity of greater than 500 fps single shot (328 fps for risks situated in Northern Ireland), or 370 fps fully automatic (328 fps for risks situated in Northern Ireland) are to be used in any skirmish. Players may use their own modified guns provided that they comply with this. The Insured must chronograph the gun the first time the member plays at the site and after any modifications to ensure compliance; We talked to a number of companies before taking out insurance; that condition was common to all of them. Given that it is impossible to know if someone has modified a gun, the only way to conform to that is to chrono every gun at every game. Sites that do not chrono (hello, Ultimate Wargames) have probably invalidated their insurance, which has some interesting ramifications. As Tackle has stated, sites have a duty to ensure safety; that is why poor chrono practice and shit marshalling are unacceptable.

Yes, correct! The joy of G&G part numbers.

It is indeed what we are doing here (most of the time); my point is that it is not the job of site owners and managers. As for the +/- 10%, a true margin of error would be to just set the limit at a figure rather than a range as most sites now do. Actually, thinking about it again, the -10% is even more pointless; what does it even mean? Would it mean not allowing guns that shoot below 295? Joule creep is another subject entirely; if I can find the results of the tests that we did, I will post them and the conclusions in a new thread. However, it was a long time ago and they may not have made it onto the current laptop. Well, there is a point to that argument.
-
That is nice for you; I am rather amused that I get to live in your head rent free I would rather hope that players would read, think and learn; we are primarily responsible for educating ourselves. Foisting the responsibility onto sites is just laziness and a dereliction of personal responsibility. Having marshalled at a couple of sites and played at loads, I would never rely on most site owners and managers for anything; obviously there are exceptions to that. The plus side of the old 328+/-10% always baffled me; that just means that the limit is actually 361 rather than 328. Once you get your head around it, Joules are the only way forward.

If you say so; we obviously live and work in very different environments.
