A video of the gearbox cycling in semi and full auto would probably help us help you. When you opened up the gearbox, did you take a look at the teeth on the piston? Did they look worn or damaged?

Thomas Hamilton was a member of the Stirling Rifle and Pistol Club for nine years before he took his four legally owned pistols and killed sixteen 5 and 6 year old children and a teacher. So yes, guns used at a gun club were used by a gun club shooter in a school shooting. Before going off and shooting a bunch of little kids, Hamilton was probably what you would describe as a responsible legitimate owner. Even by your very low standards, that post was cuntish.

Welcome aboard. My lads started playing with me when they were 10 and 12. The eldest only plays very rarely now as he has real weapons and a bunch of EOD sappers to keep him occupied. The youngest is still playing but is off to university this month so airsoft will be on hold for him until he gets somewhere to store his gear and learns to drive; we will be playing together again when he returns for the Christmas vacation.

I miss two sites. The first is UCAP Sandpit; as others have mentioned, this site had everything: CQB, wide open spaces, areas with loads of cover, the pipeyard, vehicles etc etc. A massive site with great gameplay. The other is Doomsday in Kent; it was a small, scruffy and very laid back site that was superbly run by people who understood the absurdity of grown men running around shooting each other with toy guns. Although rather small, it always felt bigger (ooer missus!) due to the layout and the varied terrain. They also did the best veggie food in airsoft.

Use it for a while and work out what you want to improve. Then ask what people recommend to meet your requirements.

I have no idea what the issue was; I stripped the gearbox and ZCI hop down again, checked everything, reassembled it and, whizzo! 320FPS! Dartmoor was fun; we found a rather large tag round.

The spring is new. This evening, it has had an M90 and an M100 in it.

I have been messing around with an old G&G CM16 Carbine (the original version) and am getting around 180FPS. I am very experienced at upgrading, fixing and building AEGs but cannot work out what is wrong with this one. The gearbox is original with the following exceptions: SHS M90 spring Metal ball bearing spring guide SHS cylinder head SHS O ring nozzle Gate PicoSSR3 mosfet Rocket high torque motor There is no delayer on the sector gear. The airseal is pretty much perfect and everything runs as it should. The barrel is the original aluminium piece of crap. The two hop setups that I have tried it with are: 1. ZCI plastic hop unit; Maple Leaf Macaron and Omega nub 2. Original G&G hop unit; G&G Green hop rubber and nub Both give the same FPS. With the nozzle fully forward, there is no light leakage down the barrel when an LED is shoved up the feed tube, so I am certain that the nozzle is engaging correctly with the hop rubber. The paper test on the feed tube shows nothing. Any ideas?

The ZCI barrel and Macaron will make a positive difference. Did you fit an Omega nub as well? If not, you really should with the Macaron.

I bought it because of the consistency; I was fed up with the inconsistency of normal gas pistols and their tendency to vent whenever they felt like it. Even after upgrading it (wiring, bushings, spring etc etc), the low power and the sheer lack of fun annoyed me so I switched to a CO2 pistol, which really is great fun.

I have the CYMA mosfet version; it is ok, no more than that. Even with the mosfet, the trigger response is sluggish; that, combined with the low power, makes it rather disappointing to use, which is why it has been in a cupboard for ages.

The evidence so far indicates that you are;). Do you need a new spade yet? That one must be worn down by now.
