  1. I bought the same. What's wrong with it? My disk runs fine but I've not programmed anything as I'm waiting for a replacement handset. If it's an issue of the software not booting or something I could upload a copy of mine.
  2. You should be getting a somewhat significant jump in FPS. Problem I have with my M249 is there's no semi and it can double feed what with still breaking in so I have to fire a few bursts to get a true reading as many come out of the barrel much slower than they should. Does sound like an air issue though. First thing to do would be to remove the kit, connect it to your air and then put it in a sink full of water - if there are bubbles there's a leak (duh). Next is just a full disassembly (if you've not already) and reassembly with thread lock. The grub screws on the airshaft collar seem to cause a lot of issues for people, but obviously your engine is quite a bit different to mine so the FB page may be best for this (just search first).
  3. Will they? Rotten law abiding bastards. In fairness, I've ordered from them before many times and never asked them to change anything so I had no idea if they'd do it anyway. The thing that peeves me slightly is these companies don't offer a service for slapping on the payment for the VAT so that Parcelforce don't charge you that extortionate £8.00 or £13.50.
  4. Well there are certain er, erm, ways around that ahem. Sell your wife. Two birds with one stone. Plus you'll probably get 60-70% of what you paid for her.
  5. Good shout. Grabbed an M9 barrel. Very competitive price on VSR barrels too (as you'd expect). I've seen a lot of new builds floating about lately - £29 for a PDI G-Spec-length 6.08 is an absolute steel. Edit Hold on, do the little red 'x's mean they're out of stock on literally every single 6.08 barrel? That can't be right, surely.
  6. Yeh, that's probably a good solution. The only reason I did the gel coat over something temporary is because it paints very well and I wanted to change it from black to OD.
  7. Sounds good. Squirty foam can go badly though - you may just be better off with packing foam as the expensing stuff can screw you over. Depends how careful you're feeling, heh. One other thing I don't see advised enough is filling the join gap in the stock with something like gel-coat filler before sanding it down and respraying. The stock filling with water when it rains can be a real issue over time, but if you have that camo tape on there it probably won't be an issue anyway.
  8. Have you filled the stock yet? That helps a lot with sniper rifles.
  9. You get accustomed to it over time. I've been waiting for my M9 slide for 7 months now, heh.
  10. That's a little far. There's nothing wrong with asking - not enough do.
  11. Max is 12 months, but it seems site owners have some discretion here. Minimum between first and last is 2 months as you say. http://www.ukara.org.uk/questions.php
  12. Don't listen to this man. He's just salty because he can't afford to finish his Chris Costa Coastguard loadout.
  13. The two are comparable in quality and hold the top spot along with PDI. Both make steel and brass barrels, though some Prometheus barrels are also marketed under Laylax and First Factory.
  14. Don't take your RIFs out in public. That's rule numero uno.
  15. Yep, that's basically an M-nub, heh. Nice work.
  16. Annnd we also said that in that last thread, hah. Honestly I'm left handed and I've just learnt to deal with it. It's such a non-issue.
  17. Yeh, I told him this last time he asked, heh. The Bar/VSR bolt conversion isn't too hard if you've got a Dremel or just a file and some patience.
  18. Nice job. Is that a real steal charging handle?
  19. That's the problem with the VSR arm - the fulcrum isn't far enough away for it too be close enough to lay flat, and the surface isn't brilliant either because - unlike some other hop designs - it's not a two-part hop arm or even sloped to try and mitigate that issue a bit. I've known of people to build it up with a small amount material to get it flat, but then you're limited to a small range of weights. That's why it may be best to try the Biro mod first as it's basically reversible even if you glue it. You're right in that the dead top centre mod was made to solve this issue. I've seen a couple of people do it, but never tried it myself. Seems like a bit of a nuclear option, but frankly if you're going to spend 4-5 hours constantly shimming the nub to get it at just the right angle then it does seem like a viable option.
  20. Way ahead of ya. Overall length is now 120cm. Barrel length is 69cm (ehe).
