  1. You don't need to upgrade it as the spring in the Mancraft kit is incredibly weak and the pull is about 60% of a stock spring and cylinder anyway. You may want one for a lighter trigger pull and cripser break, but it's certainly not necessary and probably not worth the price tag when VSR triggers should be adjustable to an extent through the grub screw on the front of the mech anyway. Could so some tinkering with the sears like a lot of people do by filing here and there to get a real feather-light pull, and you may want an aftermarket sear so it doesn't wear as quickly but I'd never say it's a priority. And as Spoon says, if you're needing space to feed that macro line down then it could be more hassle than it's worth for the small gain you get over stock triggers.
  2. Nice. Probably just a loose spring then - something that's more common in stock VSRs than some others. They have a slightly more complicated trigger mech than say the Maruzen L96 clones.
  3. True, but that's the whole stock. How easy are those to find without buying a broken gun?
  4. Yeh. The warranty on airsoft guns doesn't tend to last very long except with certain manufacturers anyway. Most problems reveal themselves in the first month or so, so if you've not had it that long then you may want to hold off on the respray until then.
  5. If the spring is compressed and not releasing it's a trigger mech problem usually ;something isn't allowing the sear to displace or there's nothing actuating it. It could be a catastrophic cylinder issue where the piston is completely stuck, but that's very unlikely. Again, seriously consider sending it back because to fix this you will probably have to void something. You need to rebuild the trigger mech. Probably just a rogue spring, but it could be that something has snapped and that's why I'd advise you send it back unless you're getting a new trigger mech. This link explains it better than I can: http://www.airsoftsniperforum.com/41-vsr-rifles/3165-worstinfinland-s-vsr-10-total-take-apart-guide.html
  6. Usual disclaimer: Send it back. Can you fire it with the bolt back? (Don't let it slam fire, just see if it releases the spring tension). Is there clearly resistance from the spring when you pull the bolt back? This should allow us to rule out the sear.
  7. Save up and get your UKARA registration and/or site membership done. You don't want to half-arse the look when you're spending so much money.
  8. Don't bother if it's 2-tone. You will regret it till the day you die.
  9. I'm poised to make an HPA FAQ if it happens.
  10. Daytona Gun Group FAQ on FB. It's basically where 70% of the questions about DG can be answered. I think I mentioned it here or the other thread. Yeh, I have got a few of them. PM me your address and I'll pop a couple in the post.
  11. Ya got me there.
  12. Two threads? Where are you getting that number from you filthy non-air? Also I merely meant it in such a way that there are plenty of stickies we could make but no one can be bothered to make them. It's still no excuse for not searching first.
  13. Maybe, but didn't we ask the mods for an HPA sub-forum like yonks ago and that's still not been done?
  14. Yeh, it was a Crimson Trace laser foregrip.
  15. That's exactly what I mean though: There are hundreds of VSR upgrade threads and videos that break it down into far more detail than I could hope to in a few hours.
  16. There are, but allegedly JG has the nicest stock as the join marks are minimal and is readily available in the UK. Again though, I hate to say it but the TM VSR and the Maruzen APS L96 clones are the most documented sniper rifles out there. All of this information could have been had through 5 minutes Googling. Happy to help, but you may get a quicker answer next time through a quick search.
  17. Yeh it does. It's a clone - that's why it's a good alternative as all you'd really want to keep is the stock, receiver and maybe bolt handle.
  18. You can't open the TM cylinder and then replace the head if you're switching springs. Once you put it back together (which in itself is a bit tricky because you'll need a new pin) you won't have a good air seal. Remember that time we said you'd need over £250 (ontop of the donor weapon) to do this? Also, this is why some people get a JG BAR-10 as it has a slightly nicer stock, but the internals aren't as well put together as TM. Not a problem if you're upgrading everything.
  19. http://forums.zeroin.co.uk/showthread.php?264994-Crimson-trace-mvf-600c-tactical-fore-grip Probably stolen.
  20. Probably the better site as Raven's minimum age is supposedly 16, heh. The spring guide should be fine, but as Happy says you don't want to go over 500 so play it safe. Again, FPS is not everything - hop, ammo and barrel matters more with accuracy, consistent accuracy is certainly what you want with a sniper rifle.
  21. They do exist. He just never updated the FAQ - they're even on his website and stuff.
  22. Oh, that's standard modification heh. You made it sound as if the whole thing was a big surprise. Most builds need the grip area drilling at a minimum for the macro line. May want to ask Tony to update that FAQ with the WE 416.
  23. It's deffos 500 at Gunman. Ravens I'm not so sure as their website changed earlier in this year and I can't confirm that. It's a small site, so a 30m MED would be even more of a hindrance than usual. Try this for springs: http://www.x-fire.org/etop/bolt_sp.html
  24. Site limit at Ravens and Gunman is 500fps. Also - and I mean this without a hint of condescension - your young arms are going to get tired of compressing an M170 very quickly. Set aside another £50-80 for a good scope with a clear reticule.
  25. Did he? Hm. I remember reading on the DG page that they require significant modification. Well, he certainly knows more than me so I'm not sure what's up with that.
