yeah Baz, but they do deserve it - for taking their eyepro off in the gamezone at the start!

  3. If you bend the contacts flat on one of these it would go neatly inside heat shrink about 2cm up the wire above the pad and with some thinner heat shrink either end you could seal it. Actually it would have to go further up the wire to get the lower heat shrink on, so it might be better to make the tail into a 'Y' with the pad on one end and the switch on the other.
  4. Yeah, my SVD. I've got some Vanaras 0.4g but they're not as pale a tan colour, they're more of a coyote tan. The issue is seeing the buggers in flight so I can correct for wind. Ideally they would be pure toothpaste white, but the heaviest white ones going are 0.32g P&J, which are OK, but so far my feeling is that Blaster Devils 0.3g are better for range. What is wrong with the people at Madbull, eh? Is there a global titanium dioxide shortage or something!?! V^^VGrrrrrrrrr! Edit: @ 1.2045p / BB they better be good too! (£24.09 / pot posted)
  5. Oh yeah, I'd completely forgotten ordering a tub of 2000 Madbull 0.4g BB's in tan colour until they turned up this morning. ASPUK have a stash. They are taking full advantage of the rarity, but if you want light coloured heavy sniper BB's, these may be the last in the UK so probably worth the price.
  6. Mature? Moi? I've never been so insulted in all my life!
  7. Asking for it much? For those who cba, here he is against a clear background .png enjoy! I'm afraid that I haven't time right now to use some real imagination, so I'm afraid Nick, for the time being, you'll have to make do with this:
  8. ^^Oh bugger, that reminds me - I bought 4 Thunder B grenades and a pile of 12g CO2 caps from our own dear Curly68 t'other day too. And there was me starting to look around for a Soviet Khaki RD-54 backpack and rig... better give the wallet a rest. It's probably hiding in its little mousehole!
  9. An original NOS Soviet Afganka in size 54-5 at last! Woohoo! $150 posted from Russia :gulp:
  10. Only just starting to feel recovered after Skirmish Mansfield on Sat - pretty standard day, but not been for yonks so loved it :)

its rubbish getting old! im the same.

  11. That looks good, Arden, but I don't think it would work on my face. The only way it would stay on is to have it really tight to my top lip I'd have to cut the nose out as a slot so the cheekbone bits were still there, then put pads on them to stop chaffing... like i already do but i'd gain not having the nose piece bottom centre in my field of view. It's worth thinking about.
  12. I think your gun looks fine, B, for an M4. Maybe put some of those hexagons on the stock too... maybe give the receiver a thin coat of tan, add the hexagons in green and then distress the living shight out of it so the black shows through. It'd look like it's been through a sand storm or three on ops...
  13. You did ask for edgy, UTJ, so I'm afraid i'm holding you responsible for this: Edit: I use Paint and PhotoPad Image Editor which was a free download.
  14. I've got a dremmel-a-like and a 3" G-clamp... Well... there are edged weapons:
  15. Red Jacket did something like that with a Chicago Typewriter - I forget if they put a crane stock on it as well, or what, but there was definitely an RIS. It was for some local sherrif's dept. too - just doesn't bear thinking about, eh? Not just old bill, but yank old bill, spraying .45 cal FMJ around like it was on sale... run for the hills!
  16. Does that not chafe your skin, Arden?
  17. The wood does look more worn than this pic shows, I spose I could add a couple of gouges though. I've distressed the PBS-4 since I took this and it looks a lot better now... but... for no reason at all it has stopped feeding BB's. I hadn't done anything to it mechanically. It won't feed from any of my AK mags - the ones it has always worked with nor the 5 new ones i've recently acquired. I tried swapping back to the original mag catch. Dismantled the hop unit: everything seemed just fine, so I swapped the barrel too (which is something I've been meaning to do for a while). Dismantled the gearbox - the tappet plate, its spring & delayer are fine / so I regreased the piston head and checked compression = better than fine. Nothing has made a difference. It fires the odd shot but usually just doesn't. Checked to see if it could be mags - it fires fine with no mag upside down feeding BB's by hand/gravity - but these mags have worked with it for ages and they work in other guns V^^VGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
  18. Against Partizan camo too. That takes sickening into actual blasphemy.
  19. Replied to here, in the DIY thread. Just bought 3000 Blaster 0.25g Tracer BB's for £15.29 posted (inc. 10% discount given to UKAPU members)
  20. Sgt Talbert, Lozart, and I were discussing tracer mags on this page. Does the tube have a shiny interior, Loz? If not, that could be a way of getting a more even distribution of glow on the BB's - line it with some Mylar space-blanket.
  21. Ah, well that makes sense, Loz. If I'm not happy with how much glow I get, I'll figure out some way of adding more LED's. I dunno how it would work any differently with a hicap - the LED would still have to be in the tube because if it was in the reservoir, the BB's would block the light. Maybe a few placed around the reservoir plus one in the tube...?
  22. The bloke I'm buying the tracer mag from says there's something intermittently wrong with it - from the sounds of it there'll be a wire loose, but while I have it apart I may switch to a/some UV LED/s (because I have some lurking from another project and more of the energy they put out is useful for exciting the fluorescent dye, compared to white light LED's).
