  1. I'm not sure what I think about this, but it's a picture of an imitation firearm so, short of making a new thread, it belongs here. I just wonder what it'd look like after a while, I mean sh!t always sticks...
  2. Actually Sp00n, no I forgot to check fleabay... like a dick! Swings and roundabouts though because I just had my offer of £8.50 delivered accepted on fleabay for 3 green canvas triple AK mag pouches!
  3. I'm jealous! I expect to be there. Hopefully Jetta will be in fine form by then. Just ordered a Madbull 1 inch CCW outer barrel extension from Fire Support - £15 + £3.50 P&P Fifteen fcuking quid! - I only need 7-8mm of extra barrel so I was planning to get a CCW to CW thread adaptor and replace the CW to CCW adaptor that came with the suppressor I'm using. TBH I would have resented having to pay £8-ish +P&P for a poxy bit of threaded aluminium, but I'd have assuaged my outrage with the knowledge that I would definitely have it soon, whereas if I had taken advantage of the Supporters' Discount and bought it for £7.10 delivered from Airsoft Tiger111HK I would have had to wait maybe 20 days. OK, probably not even 10, but you never know and I want it by the 11th... So guess what? There isn't a single 14mm CCW to CW thread adaptor left in the UK currently (that I could find and I went through my entire airsoft bookmarks folder)! BASTARD! Also ordered some green cotton canvas webbing to modify my Soviet chest rig - believe it or not that is £3.75/m +P&P! Oh, and some 1" D-rings to match the ones on the rig, one of those new issue boot cleaning brushes so I can get to the bits of mud stuck between the leather and sole around the sides easier, and a LiPo balancing lead to go with the 18650 trays I ordered t'other day - the latter 3 things costing just over a fiver delivered for the lot! I'm going to resent that eighteen quid odd for a long time to come - I can feel it in my bones...
  4. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhahaahahahaahahahaahahahahaahahahaa! Own up...
  5. Hot diggety dang has been around for longer than that! Hold up... Dr. Emmett Brown just rocked up in his De Lorien etc. Obtuse, moi?
  6. 2 x 18650 battery holder trays - 50p each from Amazon - so I can make a unit to charge 2 of them @once with my Turnigy charger. 3" x 4" Cheburashka patch - £2.99 from Amazon - to go on my VDV berezka camo suit.
  7. "fagpulled" - haven't seen it before but I like it.
  8. 2 attachments around the Goblin barrel and the whole handgrip swing down to reload.
  9. Really? Is that the level we've descended to? Good!
  10. I met a recently retired BAe VP at a wedding a few years ago. My dad worked for BAC then BAe after the privatisation pretty much his entire working life and I visited various airshows, open days, etc. as a kid, so we got chatting. A bone of contention appeared when I explained that my time at uni was spent studying Sound Technology. In his mind there is no difference between my technical studies and a content driven Media Studies type degree, which he regarded with derision. Regardless of the massive difference, I pointed out that media is one of the UK's largest exports these days. There followed a brief exchange which ended with him opining that the reason why the Tories had had to shut down British heavy industry was because British workers would not accept wages and conditions comparable to those in developing countries and that not only was this a bad thing, it was the fault of Trade Unions. He went on to recapitulate and, whilst still ignoring the point about media being a huge export market and necessary in the absence of closed industies, claim that the reason our universities are churning out graduates with degrees in Media Studies (for doing nothing but watch TV lol) and Sociology (so they are qualified to hold people's hands while they cry about problems they are too lazy to fix for themselves *sigh*) is also the fault of Trade Unions... for raising the expectations from life of British workers! No word of a lie, the bloke is nothing short of a fascist. I asked him a number of innocuous questions sprinkled into our further conversation and the upshot was that, in his opinion, his views are shared by the entire upper echelon of BAe management. Pretty scary when you consider that these people have managed to obtain a de facto monopoly over arms supply to the UK Govt. and, despite the loudly espoused philosophy of free markets producing the best products and services when left entirely to their own devices, free, for eg, from Govt. interference, they have achieved this gargantuan market position with UK Govt. subsidy.
  11. Don't like tiddlers or AR15's, but if you have to have them, they're a fine looking pair
  12. I think that looks good. You could probably use a couple of sheets of 3/4" Ply glued together to shape a new foregrip, rather than ruin the one you have. I reckon it would be better fitted to a tacticool Tommy though! All black, crane stock, red dot sight, torch... ergonomic foregrip+goblin (you could make it out of a bolt and FIMO).
  13. Yeah Dave, that is good news on the price. Goblin do supply a blister pack of 5 shells with the gas reservoirs as well as the 4 barrel BB carrier black bits. Is there an issue with someone else being the official UK Supplier or something?
  14. My UKARA# is live again so, as soon as I have the cash spare, I'm gonna get one, assuming PB still have the sale price on them. As we discussed before, I'm thinking it may be the answer to my plans for a masterkey underslung on my G36, but it looks and sounds like a right laugh on its own. Just as a point of fact, at least one real steel double barrelled shotgun sawn off to about an inch and a half longer than the duo existed in the UK around about 15yrs ago. Clearly the least said about that the better, but if two barrels work, so should one...
  15. Not so you'd notice, no! I can't move that fast anyway, due to health issues, so I may as well carry lots of toys. Although, just after this was taken, I stripped my kit right down because I was having a mini freak out - I was wearing new contact lenses (1 eye for distance, 1 eye for close up - I didn't think it would work, but the optometrist insisted that it's a viable solution to a prescription for astigmatism and varifocals - it was ok a few days before, travelling, but shit I felt so ill skirmishing in 'em!). I've heard this from a few ppl. I'm not an easy shape to clothe, but I do ok with military clothes, especially British gear. 5'10", Chest 42", Waist: 36", Inside Leg 29.5" Hat Size 7 Glove Size 9 so the correct sizes for me are - Top: 180/104 Kecks: 80/92/108 Hat: 57 Gloves: Medium but... My arms are long so 180/104 shirts are just ok,180/112 are better and I need the bigger jacket or coat; but then the shoulders aren't quite right and the chest is loose. Kecks always have arse-sag, because my derriere thinks it's a decade younger than my gut and, for some unknown reason, CS95 kecks do not reach down to my ankles properly, despite their marked size being correct, so I have to wear them tucked into my boots (which I would do anyway, but the choice would be nice). Size 85/92/108 produces completely unacceptable arse-sag and are much harder to find than 85/92/112 which are like 'kin jodhpurs on me! A 57 hat is too tight over my hair, so I need a 58, which is then slightly loose. I need Large gloves because, although my hands are slim (medium width), they are long, so they always slip about unless I do them up really tight at the wrists, which makes my hands sweat and my wrists itch with prickly heat... My point is that military clothes don't fit anyone exactly, you just have to get the best fit for you. They do often fit better than the random XS/S/M/L/XL/2XL of civilian clothes however, because the sizes are generally trustworthy and don't change from manufacturer to manufacturer. If you're not sure what sizes you need, check this.
  16. Well you've fulfilled it then, mate! The bloke in that pic looks so the part....
  17. A lot of them seem to have comedy moustaches... My British mercenary loadout: Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  18. The RVG looks like a plastic version of what I have on there now: A bit short also. I have large hands. This is the one I'm thinking of trying:
  19. I want a complete breakdown of every part, the lube, the wiring, the 'kin blow by blow of assembly with pics. Seriously. It'll be a good resource on AF-UK, but personally I want to know how it goes; the problems & solutions etc. Unfortunately it's looking like I'm going to have to put the NVG project off for another month because I really need new specs with varifocal lenses
  20. @Juni0r: I think it looks good, but it would be better with some 'spatter' - rather than just the fine mist at the edges of the spray, some 1-2mm blobs of 'cross-contamination'.
  21. 1st time i ever heard that track i was cuffed up in the back of a cop car, back in the 90's. Seemed surprisingly apt. The heyday of 2000AD was pure analog. OMGonads... you had to actually turn pages and read it/ Even worse, there was no soundtrack to drive your emotional responses, so you were just left with the bald story and your imagination to form an opinion. It'll never catch on...
  22. Go on then, TPI, let's have a look. Are you, by any chance, too young to have caught the heyday of 2000AD? I have to say that Slaine MacRoth was my fav, but Dredd had some good runs. What always amazes me is how anyone imagines him as any kind of hero, 'anti' or otherwise, when he is clearly the end product of facism and a cnut to boot!
  23. The Stallone Movie was a travesty! The recent one was a lot better, but the only real Dredd is in 2000AD. Remember, it's not a Lawgiver unless it's dick shaped...
  24. Like the one I took off for this one lol! I'm thinking maybe an ergonomic pistol grip. I saw a thingy a while ago that, I think, lets you fit pistol grips to rails. Still, I'm buggered if I can remember where I saw it and I seem to have a vague flashing red "yer fcukin jokin" memory attached to cost consideration, so maybe not... There's a pretty nice looking vertical aluminium tube type that holds an 18650 battery inside it on fleabay, so maybe I'll go for that - £25-ish IIRC so not ridiculous. At least it ought to be more comfortable to hold than this current bastard.
