Actually I'm having 2nd thoughts about the foregrip. I like the way it looks, bit it's not very comfortable to hold: too thin end on. The 551 is great way up there - I don't have to bend my neck down even a little bit to look through it. We shall see how difficult it is to zero...

SHS G36 / PPsh Replacement Hop Unit ~ £11-odd shipped inc. -£2 for Target Points (which is nice lol) Airsoft World - because, like a complete cock, I lost the nub from mine at the weekend by opening it too close to the edge of a table set over gravel. Worse is that I have lost a nut by doing something similar before and, on another occasion, taking this prior stupidity into account, I sat in the middle of the table while I broke my AK down to avoid just such a possibility. I was hoping that AW might be able to supply me just a nub, since I bought the gun there and other stuff, but no... In fact 2 different people referred me to their Element H nubs... Doh! Such a pisser because that was the last tenner-ish I can afford for airsoft for a week and my HFC PM/PPK-ish pistol has arrived from UN Company and now I can't get any fcuking gas! -

That reminds me Ed & UTJ... Back in the 90's my mum needed a patio dug into a hillside so I got drafted for the job. Shortly after the JCB work was done the heavens opened (and this was in Wales so when I say "opened" I mean like an upended bucket shaped tardis) for days. The whole project was in danger of damaging her's and her neighbours' house foundations, never mind the mess... So I had to crack on... Anyway, one evening she got home from work to find a scene that wouldn't have looked out of place in a film about creating the Panama Canal and me sort of hidden in the middle of it by the rain and being literally covered from head to foot in mud, wet concrete, and tools. She insisted that I knock it on the head, drop my clothes in the utility room, and get straight in a hot bath (before I caught my death /quote). So, the kecks I was wearing were DPM combats and it just never occurred to me that my mum might be daft enough not to check the pockets properly... She spotted the hammer, where did she imagine I had been keeping the nails? Well, it turns out that 3 1/2" round head wire nails have a head which is just too big to follow the shaft through the holes in a Hotpoint washer, but is small enough to jam in there when wiggled back and forth... I don't remember if the kecks looked significantly different afterwards, but the fcuking washer did! -
You'll only get dye to take on the cotton portion of the fabric - if the sleeves are the usual 40/60 polycotton then 40% of it will not dye. Of course the moisture wicking bit is all manmade polymers so that won't dye at all. It may stain due to dying, but that will wash off pretty soon. Basically, whatever colour you want, that's the colour you need to either buy or make. Still, I have a DPM jacket that was dyed before it came to me, I think with black. You can still see all the colours but they are just a lot darker. It may have been dark green dye though, because the green seems to have changed shade as well as light vs dark. Whatever... it's unusual and looks pretty cool. Really good night camo (like better than anything I've ever (not) seen)!

Yeah, it's a great looking BDU. It's weird because the green in the camo looks much more man made than natural to me, especially when new, but I think it looks cool anyway! Stone washing has got to make it even better. I wouldn't know how to go about it myself, other than maybe putting medium road stone in a washing machine with the clothes, but I can't imagine that doing the washer any good... @remus: what I want to know is this: why is it, in life generally as well as airsoft, when you find something really cool, like the Goblin Solo for eg, it rarely is as cool as we expect it will be...? They do make a big thing of it being good for CO2 though, so I'm guessing that's the way forward. When my UKARA# is reinstated and I can get one, I'm going to also get one of those 12g CO2 Adaptors and yeah, 0.12g BB's can't hurt. In a short range blast, who cares how accurate each BB is? I'm not surprised it sh!t people up! It's pretty scary getting shot anywhere near your face with a semi-auto gas pistol, a whole blast of BB's must be worse. That's one of the reasons I want one lol! -

Yeah UTJ, I've had a splurge, but that's it for a while again cos i just had to blow a load on spending time with my g/f. I'm going with a lifchik A-Belt, a DDR gas mask pouch in Strichtarn as a dump pouch & still to get a 3 or 4 AK mag pouch depending on what comes up when i have more to spend. Also still to get: double grenade pouch, canteen & pouch, veshmeshok, and if possible an original summer mabuta in khaki, but my size 54-5 seems to be rare so i might have to go repro. At the mo i'll be wearing Strichtarn kecks under Birch 'digital bunnies' camo kecks and black striped telnyashka under the camo top. Really, the only thing that will look impressive, I think, is that my lifchik is in birch camo too. Still, i foresee an SSh68 with net & cowl on the horizon soonish... and who knows, i might get sick of waiting and get a summer 1st generation Afghanka to wear under my camo. If it wasn't for the AKS74U tho, right now it would look pretty pants. The parade uniform stuff is for the lols really. I just think it might be cool to arrive on site impeccably turned out as the west's formerr worst enemies lol! But again, i'm a long way off having that complete too. TBH, if i did have a lot of money to throw at Russian gear I'd put an OMON loadout together with a 6B6 full of titanium and a sphere helmet... I need to start doing the lottery more lol! EDIT TO ADD: Remember that torch i ordered? 1600 lumens? It was on my mat when i got home tonight. Well TBH I was sceptical, but I've seen T6's advertised as 1000 lumens output before, so I thought 1600 was probably just an exaggeration. The fcuking thing isn't even as bright as my C8 running at 3.7V - it's rated at 350 lumens from 4.2V. Yup, that's a fleabay case opened all right, the wankers! -

Oooooh, u can totally c where smugglers get off, can't u? I just got an original KGB shield badge for £8.50 delivered - to go with my KGB Academy Graduate diamond badge & a pair of the right shade of blue shoulder boards for £11.50 delivered - in case the coat i bought has airforce blue ones, or for further loadouts to come Plus, a bit over the odds due to a lapse in eBay ninja skills, a wanka... er, no actually that's generic. Specifically I got a Syriyka hat with face mask for about £17 delivered, it's just that I thought it might tickle somebody to know that shapka, Russian for 'hat' is spelled wanka in cyrrillic .D -
Yeah, there's always the cost of current Russian issue gear to consider too. As in 'considered it - thought "when i win the lottery" and bought something else'.

I like the gorka, but it doesn't arf look new! Not so sure about '58 pattern webbing with it... I have to ask... what does the person who paid for that carpet think about your boots having dirt on them?

Yeah, that's what i thought, remus. I dunno if customs would go any more nuts over this stuff than other RIF's. I spose that $59.95 + $30 shipping isn't actually that bad for - Approx £12 each delivered... Oops! They have the wrong pic up on their website - they do sell 5 airsoft cartridges. -

It's a shame those Wa Shan shells are so gay looking... The problem I foresee with the Goblin is that you only get 1 gas reservoir/shooty-thingy and a bunch of BB carrying shells. That's not good for quick reloads, eh? -

It's not gigantic, Ed, but yeah there's a double barrel version with a pistol grip that looks like a cut-down shotty grip. There's a bloke that goes to the Stan who has one and a holster that fits it perfectly - it does look cool as... And remus... you twat, I'm sooooooooooooooooo jealous! -

Yeah Stef is on the job, but that doesn't help me get a new Goblin in time for Sunday I hope to be there, but as you know I can't get there on public transport early enough on Sundays so I rely on a lift from Stef. This wkend Daft Lad isn't coming so Stef will have to pick Paige up and the rest of his car may be full of stuff. He's going to let me know if there'll be room to squeeze me in... Are you going? -

From Zero One: JBU Tappet Plate Delayer [ JA-49 ] (1) £3.95 G&P 551 Type Dot Sight with EOLAD Laser [ GP935 ] (2) £114.95 British Ration Pouch - Thai Green Vegetable Curry x5 [ RAT-WF-693(MB5) ] (3) £6.95 Sub-Total: £125.85 FedEx UK: £7.95 Total: £133.80 (1) On the grounds that, when you pay for shipping of something you want now, you might as well add something small which will come in handy at some point. I have no plans to upgrade any more of my guns to a stupid rate of fire, but you never know what will come up as a deal too good to be missed (2) The actual reason for this order: hopefully what will turn out to be the dog's bollocks of holographic sight and laser combo for my G36 Jetta (3) These were on sale and since they're usually £4+ each, £1.39 and no extra shipping each is well worth it for night games, weekenders, etc. A genuine original KGB Lieutenant-Captain Parade Uniform Long Coat & Scarf for $65.50 delivered from Ukraine - fleabay - to go with the matching peaked cap I bought the other week (which is proper cool btw)... Over powered? Over freakin' powered? No, no, no, my friend. This what airsoft has been waiting for and, assuming that we can banish the nay sayers, along with all H&S nannies, to Room 101 and have these bundles of joy in the UK, it will justify changing the name of the sport to "Action Air"... -

Well yeah, but I prefer the M320 and my ali RIS. I just think that a shotgun would look cooler. And then there's the shells in loops on my vest or belt to consider... verging on the sub zero, methinks Although I'm still hoping we'll be able to get those ICS 40mm pyro shells, in which case cool beef hooked! -
