  1. Yeah, and with the flash hider, it would allow for a proper Battlestar Galactica loadout too. I've got the orange justbollocksguns.co.uk version - I hoped I might be able to convert it into a skirmishable weapon easily, but it is truly sh!t. It's going to take a lot of work. Still, I got it at a seriously reduced price so I'm not arsed. Currently I'm wishing for a GPMG. There's also the integrally suppressed AK that Red Jacket do (Sons Of Guns on Discovery). Both the Snow Wolf and the kit M41A Pulse Rifle have issues which put me off. The counters and mags do not sync; the underslung grenade launcher does fcuk all, and the stock is apparently a bit twisty. I want one made from the same nylon G36's are made from, with proper steel guides embedded for the angled steel stock arms. I want mid cap mags that hold 105rnds (so you don't have to crush the spring to the max to get 100 in) and the 'nade launcher should fire mini-moscarts like those Goblin shells. It also needs an optic designed to match the gun styling: something like a 551 that fits on top of the carry handle, like on a G36. In fact, what it really wants is a chip in each mag, like those in credit cards, connected to a carbon strip inside the BB tube and a copper bush on the follower so it knows, by resistance, how many BB's are in it and can transmit that info to the counter on the gun; a watch battery in that fat handle on the bottom of the mag to power it and programmed to only power the circuit when the BB count changed (using the capacitance of the circuit) so it would last ages. That I would buy. Edit: oh yeah, and we've had these threads a lot - can we consolidate them? LOL - http://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/inokatsu-mag58-gpmg-black-stock-steel-and-aluminium - still, for that money, it'll be a long while before I get one
  2. oh sh!t what have i started? in all fairness though, can anyone believe that we could have mistaken him for anybody else? That we'd just stand there like lost sheep while someone who was obviously on the opposite team trundled over and shot us, unless we had reason to think he was no threat? Utter bollocks!
  3. Do you know whom I'm on about, Ed? No James, the argument was because he was mingled in with dead men walking and used them as cover to approach - we challenged them from behind cover and they agreed they were dead - he then waddled over while we were discussing next moves and opened fire at close range. I swore. Vociferously. Later we victims and he discussed it. We made it quite plain that what he had done was not exactly breaking the rules but twisting them...ok so far? So a while later I opened a thread in which i didn't mention him or the incident in any way which could be traced back to him, and referencing other incidents also - basically calling for a clarification of no hiding behind dead men to be added to the morning briefing. This fat cnut then jumped in all indignant accusing me of whinging. Well, I decided not to take the bait but rather take his version of events (lies) apart and demonstrate through logic how his version was extremely unlikely. He got the thread closed by whining and ever increasing use of stronger language. The cock. Fcuk him. Next time i see the fat fcuk on a skirmish field we'll see who's a whining bitch
  4. Fcuk off you cheeky cnut! As it goes that reminds me of somebody with whom i ended up having an argument recently
  5. Geoff is defo a mine of good sense, but I have serious doubts about the ability of a bandana to prevent teeth being knocked out. The problem is not like a fist in the chops, where the force of the blow follows through, pushing against the teeth so they snap, it's a sudden impact in which the energy is transferred instantaneously which shatters the tooth. The only thing a bandana does is offer it's miniscule thickness of polycotton as cushioning - unless, of course, you have it stretched so tightly across your mouth that it acts like a trampoline: 1) V difficult to get it to stay like in play, and 2) V uncomfortable. You've also got to consider how warm you get with a layer of cloth round your face and neck. You can get neoprene masks similar to that bandana that are fitted and thus do protect teeth, but again they get really hot and sweaty. If you like the skull effect then I'd suggest getting a mesh mask with that decal printed on it. They exist - mesh masks do not heat you up...
  6. A good thing about knee pads is that they allow you to kneel behind low cover and take aim straight away on surfaces that would make you shuffle for comfort - like loose BB's on a concrete floor for eg - absolutely knacker if you kneel on 'em. They also keep your trousers out of shallow puddles, which are often stagnant, stinking, primordial ooze which you wouldn't want introduced into even minor scrapes... the same is also true of elbow pads when it comes to taking cover prone behind very low cover.
  7. Not to douse anyone's ardour (because yeah that pistol does it for me) but you'd best check the muzzle energy. We always talk about FPS limits, but that is just because it's easy short hand - the FPS is measured with a 0.2g BB. An 8mm BB will be a lot heavier, so your FPS will have to be much lower for the combination to be under site limits. Good times indeed. I've got to say it - strap that to your sore ass!
  8. Yeah I know, but they let us use them at night and let's be real, how often can you get close enough to someone in daylight for a knife kill? Pretty much only if you're hiding behind cover as they pass, right? But at night... der der duh der, der der duh der... we enter the twiglet zone! I'm not so sure I want some of the kids we get running around with rubber bayonets on their guns either I don't know how of the top of my head, but I know it would end in tears! Is that the standard rubber M4 bayonet that needs filing to fit a G36? Edit: oh yeah, I just bought 2 x King Arms 200rd High Capacity BB Loader - BK - £8.43 delivered from AirsoftTiger111Hk (they're on sale and the supporter's discount is worth a whole 0.30 USD) Also bought 10 pk of 20mm ladder lock buckles for webbing from fleabay - £1.98 (for custom PLCE webbing) And a pair of Black CS95 kecks from Magnum for a nice fair price. And an A&K 50rnd Mid Cap Mag for Dragunov SVD - £18.98 inc P&P from Action Hobbies And an OD Soviet Star Cap Badge - £2.30 from cosmixx_one on fleabay
  9. & we'd both know all about that, eh Sam!?!
  10. They allow Cold Steel training swords at the GZ Weekender. I have one of these: It's a semi-permanent part of my loadouts. Although knives and bayonets aren't allowed at ordinary games at my local site, they allow me to carry it for the cool factor - I just don't use it. Night games are a different story though I suspect that they don't care how rigid it is because I'm 45: I'm not going to go all adrenaline monster and accidentally ram it through somebody's throat! There are rules for knife/melee weapon kills though. Usually it's that you just tap the target. For stealth kills, you tap the target and whisper "knife kill" in their ear and they don't shout "hit".
  11. Yeah, tantos are very cool, but sjamboks are better!
  12. Well done that man! Cold Steel, yeah Tariq? I've had one of those bokkens on my Amazon Wish List since before last xmas - I just haven't found the money spare so far
  13. Busted! I am indeed still living pre Czech Republic but you know what? "Grandad" - harsh, Alphabet, very harsh!
  14. You could preserve the look and your teeth with a double gum shield, or 2 single ones. They will interfere with communication though, but unlike Jesse Ventura who ain't got time to bleed, you and your wallet will feel it good and proper if you get shot in the face from a few feet away (dentist bill)... although I've seen a tooth chipped in half by a long shot too.
  15. AirsoftPro Precision A&K SVD HopUp chamber - USD 47.30 delivered from Czechoslovakia.
  16. You won't need a vest until you need to carry a few mags, and if you're using hicap mags you won't actually need a vest at all, but they look cool. Best wait until you decide what AEG you want to buy so you can get something that the mags will fit into. You might want to think about gloves. Carbon knuckle for cool, Kevlar & Pyrohide for waterproof & impervious enough to give you the confidence to take your time throwing lit pyrotechnics, or for protection against the sting of being hit on the hand, these.
  17. Trust me, TPI, you'd soon get sick to the back teeth of it. No matter what it is, anything involving lawyers takes absolutely ages to get done and to get this Law repealed or rewritten by a Tory Govt. would take nothing less than a European Court directive, which they would appeal... Meanwhile you have "Firearms Offence" stamped indelibly on your Police Record, which is a bummer for the old CV, but potentially far worse is anytime you happen to be questioned by Police walking home late at night, or perhaps out and about town in the vicinity of a contretemps involving the traditional harsh language and black eye, let alone what may happen if you actually are involved in something out of which they just can't keep their noses...
  18. Well. M_P, you're correct that people do habitually bend the rules, but so long as the VCRA exists in its current form, as a site we need to encourage people to follow them. Personally I think that the Act is a bad piece of law, not because it creates this two-tone requirement, but because it makes no sense when compared to the requirements for other things, and there is nothing to stop anybody with nefarious intentions from painting a real steel gun two-tone and, perhaps, being able to get the drop on armed police as a result. The only way that the stupidity of the Act can be demonstrated properly however is if somebody is prosecuted for some poxy part of it like the percentage of bright paint on a pistol. Which is where I'm torn, because whilst I fervently wish that to happen, I don't want it to be anybody I know, any of us on here, or me that gets nicked...
  19. Without wanting to piss on your chips, Dragunov mate, if you can't get a UKARA number or another defence organised then my recommendation is you need to get more bright paint on your musket. See, that is plenty more than 49% realistic colour and, by putting it together like that, you have manufactured a Realistic Imitation Firearm, which is an offence under the VCRA.
  20. I like the FAL-esque charging handle. In fact it's the best bit about the gun. It would be better still if it had a folding handle also, and if it also had an L1A1 SLR type fire selector I would consider buying one.
  21. I know English isn't your 1st language, Alphabet, but that extra "t" is so funny!
  22. Just bought a pair of Mascot Grafton trousers in black from our new member beermonsta - can't actually give him feedback because I wont be home to receive them until next week, but he seems like a good bloke and quite frankly, if you want a pair of indestructible pants, you'd be mad to miss the price at which he's got them. Also bought an A&K Dragunov SVD two tone painted black and tan from charlie8352. This may prove to be a horrible mistake because 1) I will need to totally redo the paintjob, as neither desert nor MultiCam is going to be a significant part of my loadout for the foreseeable future, and 2) I have absolutely no intention of getting ghillie suited up and sneaking around most of the day since I have very little patience in the field, and I like it that way as it makes a change so it may prove to be a massive moneypit for very few support shots per skirmish - we shall see - I have a plunning can... Already waiting for me in the Post Office Depot is one of those SWAT vests with faux suede rectangles and press studs all over the top half. At £17 delivered from fleabay I just couldn't resist it as the first item of the Battlestar Galactica loadout I've been planning for ages.
  23. I've skirmished my knock-off Oakley's a fair few times and they're still going strong. Black though. Maybe the tan stuff is the problem...?
