  1. Here's an interesting quote from Mark Owen's Instagram account: Full article: http://markowenseal.wordpress.com/weapons/
  2. Some guns don't like certain mags! Is it for your ICS M4? I use a G&G hicap in mine and it feeds fine. Maybe the spring has gone in the mag? You can dismantle it and check and lube the spring. Can you try/borrow a different mag to see if that shoots OK? Not really much info on your battery or charger setting there. If it's a high capacity nimh being charged at a slow rate, it could take hours (8 or 9) depending on capacity and charging rate. What setting is it?
  3. Really bad form on the gun, especially since you paid extra. Sounds like poor maintenance - I would have expected them to have swapped it over straight away or refund the extra you paid in return for a standard one! Don't let it put you off ICS, but there are other alternatives too. The main thing is that if/when you get your own gun, you can make sure it's looked after and works properly before you play!
  4. I run these: http://www.componentshop.co.uk/7-4v-1300mah-25c-continuous-discharge-101mm-long.html I have D-Boys stock tubes on my guns (cheap!!) and they fit fine They stick out a bit, but not a probpem once the stock is on - I just can't collapse it all the way in, but one notch out is fine
  5. If you were going to use a stock magazine pouch and want to hide the wires, you'll have to run them up through the stock tube to hide them. Then run them to the end of the tube, drill a small hole in the stock itself and pass the wires into the pouch and attach the connector. This will work easily enough if the stock tube is a bit shorter than the actual stock when fully collapsed - you can leave some extra wire coiled in the stock tube to allow you to move the stock in and out too. A rubber butt butt plate will help hide them. But to be honest, if you're going to that much trouble the best advice has already been given. Wire it into the tube, and buy two stock tube lipos and change over at lunch time. I'm also a believer that you really need two anyway, in case one goes flat or didn't charge properly.
  6. What Team-Flex said! Just using that search term I found several from UK shops for under £40
  7. Go for number 3. It's the only one you've linked to with a RIS on the front so you can easily add accessories - torch, laser, PEQ, vertical grip etc.. If you get one of the other ones, your next post will most likely be - what RIS fits this gun
  8. You just need a PTT - Push To Talk - adaptor for the headset as above. But good luck finding one that will work with a Cobra radio. In my experience they are very fussy about headsets and tend to only like Cobra branded ones!
  9. I've got a mate who wears a suit at CQB games, for a police/FBI look/hitman. He looks smarter than I do when I'm in meetings at work!! Had another mate who wore bike leathers once (it was a bit colder outside!) and went for a Terminator look. I've also seen people in fancy dress costumes playing too - Santa, Superman etc...
  10. That's very low for a JG - they usually do 380 odd! I assume it's used and has been downgraded? Best wait for a proper chrono reading. But the good news is that as above, a replacement spring would do it. Athough the Sigs are a bit of a pain to open up!
  11. 60p MBUIS from Ebairsoft! Just ordered some - doesn't seem to be any catches! http://www.ebairsoft.com/speical-offer-spain-germany-switzerland-tb26-p-7813.html

26 Hong Kong dollars is about £2, so they still sold them at a loss of about £1.40 a set!

plus manufacturing / buying cost. but it is a promo to make us know about / trust the site. may be well worth it for them!

  12. All you need is a rail that bolts on to the bottom of the grip: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/guarder-under-foregrip-integrated-rail-for-m933-m733-1.html#.U7_A3LHNAtU
  13. Sometimes free shipping means that the items are more expensive to make up for it. Always worth looking at somewhere like eHobbyasia or KHmountain too - and seeing what your order comes out at once shipping is added.
  14. You'll need a stock tube to slide the crane stock onto, that link looks like it's for the stock only. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JG-M4-M16-STOCK-EXTENSION-TUBE-AIRSOFT-JING-GONG-/111125659267?pt=UK_SportingGoods_OtherSports&hash=item19df9afe83 If your gun is front wired, then it's a straight swap once the tube is on there. If it's rear wired, then your next problem will be rerouting the wires down the stock tube and into the crane stock and then you'll almost certainly be looking at buying new batteries to either fit into the stock tube, or into the crane stock battery compartments. It will be extendable - the stock tube will be designed with notches for the stock to move in and out. The crane stock should fit on any stock tube. In the real world there are different dimensions between military stock tubes and civilian ones. In airsoft it doesn't make too much difference and is nothing that can't usually be sorted with a couple of layers of black tape! The easiest option might be to go for a stubby fixed stock if it's the length you don't like.
  15. Yeah - the little collar is part of the barrel nut and delta ring assembly. It is all that holds the barrel on. If you get that G&P delta ring assembly, it will fit fine. But you will have to saw the "wings" off the barrel for the nut to screw on passed your existing barrel. Once you've done that you will need to change the hand guards. A bit late, but yes - 14mm ccw (counter clockwise) negative thread.
  16. Easily possible! The only bits you'll have trouble with are the ICS receiver threading and the barrel. The barrel is easy to sort - you'll notice two metal "wings" that stick out on either side of the barrel near the receiver. There are two notches on the ICS barrel nut/delta ring that they slot between when you install it. These will stop the DD delta ring going on since no other manufacturer uses those slots. They aren't need except to hold the ICS plastic handguard in place. If you're replacing the handguard, then a couple of minutes with a junior hack saw will remove them The next problem is the receiver threading for the barrel nut/delta ring. ICS and G&P use the same threads, but no one else does. So if your DD rail has a G&P barrel nut/delta ring you should find it's a straight swap. If not, you need to re-thread your receiver. You can buy a Madbull rethreading tool, do it carefully by hand with a small file etc.. If it's a plastic M4, it's even easier. Tighten the new nut on a little bit and remove - metal nut vs plastic threads means it'll remove the excess plastic itself Repeat gradually, removing the nut every half turn to remove the plastic shavings.
  17. Humbrol stuff is great. As suggested, the tins are quite small but a huge range of colours in matt finish. Hobbycraft do a good range near the air fix type models. I tend to use the cheaper Halfords camo colours for the base coat, then the Humbrols for adding colour/stripes etc. so the smaller cans are not an issue. Krylon is good stuff too, but postage costs on pressurized containers drive the price up unless you want to buy 6 cans or so to make it worthwhile. If you want to protect it a bit more then Rustoleum do a matt clear coat that looks good. But anything will wear over time - I think they look better with a little wear and tear anyway As for mixing one brand over another, the secret is to let the first coat fully dry before going over over it with a different one (a few days at least)! That should negate any issues.
  18. Something like this should do: http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/rolson-6-part-damaged-screw-and-bolt-remover-n18cx You use them in an electric screw driver or a manual one and unscrew as normal. The tip of the extractor will bite into the worn screw and it should start coming out.
  19. Agreed. I've never paid tax on any accessories bought from HK. I'm not saying that you won't be taxed, but it's highly unlikely for small parcels. If you buy from the US however, nearly everything seems to get taxed!
  20. They're about $45 if you buy them from the far east, about £30/£35 depending on exchange rate. So for UK pricing that's pretty good. Ive bought a couple of stocks from that eBayer and they ship very quickly. I'd say if you want it quick, go with the UK option but the extra £5 shipping knocks the price up! You'll save £10/£15 buying from Hong Kong, but will wait a couple of weeks! I'd be inclined to wait
  21. I'd go with either an ICS (for ease of maintenance) M4 or a G&G (based on all the excellent reviews on this forum). I don't want to be pedantic, but real G36s and ACRs are made of polymer, so you won't find a full metal one anywhere ;-)
  22. Not really - the solid stock is just a big empty space. You can always wrap bubble wrap round the battery! Or take the back off the stock and line the interior with foam
  23. If you're going AK, can't beat one of these for £13! http://www.flecktarn.co.uk/odtcr1nx.html Costco normally have some great prices on Craghoppers and Regatta stuff.
  24. Just remember it's a BBC3 sitcom! It won't have much of a budget and BBC3 is usually used for showcasing new talent/writers or stuff that will only appeal to niche audiences. Don't expect it to be a gritty/realistic dramatization of military life ;-) I'm sure the average audience member won't even have heard of MTP, let alone spot the difference between it and multicam!
  25. Ahhh! So you want an alternative to the TR15 that is exactly the same as a TR15??? The longer barrel won't have that much effect on range at all to be honest, it's a bit of an airsoft myth. It's mainly down to hop and rubber quality and set up. Land Warrior and Airsoft World both have a big range of G&G guns!
