  1. As @SSPKali has said, over time the part work harden and develop little burrs as material gets pushed around. A strip down, file / deburr / wet sand, clean and re lube are the answer. This will leave you with a better than new action. The standard trigger can be pretty nice.
  2. The standard plastic buffer is perfectly fine, you just need a stronger buffer spring to manage the forces. A metal buffer is not good for anything long term.
  3. As a ‘newb’ a 1j RIF is the he most logical to own as you can use it anywhere and also 22fps difference is generally going to make next to no difference. I was trying to impart some sensible facts to a new player. Also they are BBs not pellets, they won’t let you in anywhere with a pellet gun 😂
  4. A list of banned guns would be extensive! You need an Airsoft Real Imitation Firearm - RIF You need to have a two tone coloured RIF, 1 joule or 328 FPS. Once you have done 3 games and have a UKARA or other defence you can have a non two tone RIF.
  5. To get Rhop right takes A LOT of trial and error to get the whole process clean, if it isnt perfect inside and out youll always have strange fliers at best and jams etc at worst. Im not saying dont do it but the reason all the people doing vids of it make it look easy is because they have serious hours behind them to have gotten the whole process down. To start with to make it worth while you need an 8mm window machined into the barrel versus the normal 5mm one. Then you need a patch which perfectly marries the inner barrel dia and the window mating faces. If youre happy to do all that then youll get a great result but its painfull getting there in my experience. Best bang for buck - TM bucking and an Omega nub Why Rhop? Rhop process
  6. Hi! Sadly not on the immediate horizon AFAIK, yes those spendy kits are the option. On the plus side you dont need to spend much if anything on the stock gun to have a great performer! If you are already into GBBRs then you have nothing to lose, if this is your first foray into GBBR then you may want to try it out as an M4A1 first before you blow a load on a 416 kit.
  7. I can’t use an AEG these days unless it has a binary trigger and doesn’t sound like a flat cordless drill
  8. As before there’s loads of different mounting designs so until you have one it’s impossible to say. Some may need an adapter ring, some might not, some might need extra ring shims or some material removing for clearance
  9. There’s so many variations most things will fit with a little ingenuity. Unless it’s a dedicated product expect to have to do some minor modding.
  10. You have to take the rail off to remove the hop unit etc. Buy a normal M4A1 or CQBR and get a MK18 kit for it.
  11. BB feed tubes etc should be bone dry. If you live in a humid place is it possible your BBs have swollen? Load up a mag and manually ping them out with a plastic barrel unblocking rod, does the magazine follower keep pusshing up ok?
  12. Not your BBs is it? I never had that issue with the 85 mags
  13. Always time for lube 😘
  14. The Modify bucking is quite tight and made of higher friction material than the TM one, so if everything is bone dry it can stress the nozzle return spring. The 150% springs work fine, if not the same, they just pull out a little prematurely 🤭 or not in your case. Before changine anything though make sure its functioning properly 'as standard'. Is the inside of the bucking worn where the nozzle mates? Is the bucking swollen at all making it even tighter fitting? Is the bucking properly seated into the hop unit?
  15. Are you using gas with suspended oil or dry propane etc?
  16. @Ricky Sin whoa there where the f*** did you come from 😂 “Even if you did decide to restrict calories, sure, your body would burn body fat initially & you'd lose some weight. But eventually your body would decide the low-calorie environment was not a temporary situation & would cling on to your remaining fat reserves for dear life, literally. Your body just down regulates its immune & reproductive systems & makes you want to exercise less while the number on the scale doesn't change.” Thats what I said/meant; “Also when you eat dramatically less your body changes the way it works, going toward more of a survival mode, so yes you will initially lose a lot of weight but that is only through the shock of it.” Yes complex carbs have been present in our diet since the dawn of time, a lot of our intake would have been scavenging beans, pulses and nuts. It goes perfectly in line with your 2500k MacD example, it’s all processed crap, made from nutritionally non existent goods, people would call it a carby meal and they would be right, but they are crap carbs. Carbs are almost like a small re supply crates, but most are full of all the gear you didn’t need. The right carbs will keep you going for longer as they take more time to be processed (unpacked) and turned into glucose, nutrients extracted. Sugars are straight in hits that will load your bloodstream and fall away again just as fast, leaving you hungry again. I wasn’t saying to carb load, but if you have a physical long day ahead then having a balanced meal with carbs the night before will stand you in good stead for the following day. Going back to our 300,000 year old selves I’m sure our day would have gone something like; Get up go hunting / gathering. Snack on small things found along the way throughout the day. (nuts, insects, fruit, fish?) Back in the afternoon/evening with the clan have a meal together based on the days collection. (meat, beans, pulses, etc) People always feel better on little and often especially when exercising, on low carbs. As these sit with us and take time to process which ultimately means our body is doing another task internally alongside whatever we may be trying to achieve (airsoft objective) “I guess the key thing is that if you're fat or lethargic, then whatever you're eating or doing needs to change. You won't know until you try.” Exactly that, you need to listen to your body.
  17. Carbs are a ‘long life’ energy source, when compared to sugars etc and as such you should eat these well before sustained periods of exercise, like the day before. But you are right @Rogerborg if you are looking to lose weight keep the carb intake very low. If you have a (low) metabolism that allows you to function properly with a lower carb requirement then so be it, however if you have a high metabolism you will need more carbs in order to maintain a set weight/fitness level/functionality. In particular your diet isn’t lacking in much, you shouldn’t completely rule out red meat as it is an exceptional source of B12, this is hard to get from any other food source without eating tons of it. As before, a broad varied diet of unprocessed raw ingredients is key. Potatoes are highly nutritious gram for gram. So a great carb.
  18. Brown rice is actually really nice just take eons to cook!
  19. You’ve gained weight in the first place because of an imbalance - over eating and under exercising. So yes you will be eating less - restoring the balance. Also when you eat dramatically less your body changes the way it works, going toward more of a survival mode, so yes you will initially lose a lot of weight but that is only through the shock of it. Eating the correct amount and correct food will allow your body to process and burn fats properly. Weightloss shouldn’t be seen as a short term big loss event but a slower lifestyle change, this will yield the best ‘locked in’ results. For instance there’s nothing wrong with a bacon egg sarny, just factor it in. Good bread choice there. Eggs are a great food source, it’s only the frying and oil that you should be avoiding as that is unnecessary ‘bad’ fat. Using olive or coconut oil is fine. RE nutrition: multi vits are a little bit of a band aid, unless you are deficient in something particular you cannot get from your food. A varied little and often diet of unprocessed food groups is what is needed. A lot of nutrition cannot be taken in by the gut properly if supporting food groups are not present to allow the complex chemical reactions to occur.
  20. Also worth pointing out that starving yourself continually is not healthy from any point of view. Your body needs nutrition, if you are well hydrated and eating healthily you only need to balance input / output weight loss will happen and fitness improve. Being human we only do things we like, so changing your diet (not I’m on Slimfast or whatever) takes time to adjust to what you buy/cook/enjoy. Same goes with whatever exercise you do, if you enjoy it you’ll stick at it. Lots of small incremental changes are likely to be more achievable and permanent as a lifestyle. Our diet is our lifestyle
  21. @Oneshotscott is spot on with all that is required to lose excess body weight. Drinking lots of water is a big must, not excessive but a good 3-4 litres a day. And a big misconception is that fat is bad, full fat milk and other healthy fats from seeds/nuts etc are key to the body actually processing fat rather than storing it. Food is simple calories in vs effort/exercise output. Only eat carbs if you have exercised. Avoid carbs in the morning. It’s also good for gut health and fat burning, getting the most nutrition from foods to fast for a day every few weeks if you know you are not going to be overly active / busy physically.
  22. Awesome, can finally cash in the down payment my friend and I put in 2 years ago 😁
  23. This is a good barrel for the money https://www.socomtactical.net/prometheus-370mm-m4a1-mws-6-03mm-barrel/ PS you are not getting any more range or accuracy from a barrel once you exceed 300mm, only FPS increase
