Did you use them in the end?
  2. Ahh thankyou for enlightening me! Grandad Thumb not too impressed with the real one
  3. Yeh its fitting for you
  4. ^ this is my fave pistol holster setup, mid ride with a strap sandwiched in PS loving the morale patch @Lozart
  5. Cheers, i see i did not recognise it, its another brewed up airsoft gun rather than replica imitation, looks CAF though!
  6. @Johnyboy1976 what is the subgun in the centr pic!? Excuse my ignorance!
  7. Has been entertaining but trashed this thread! ?
  8. Thats what i thought, its the BB loader thats damaging the gas routes on the G&P nozzle, sand it back so it matches the height of the TM nozzle
  9. How many rounds are we looking at on those gas routes? It does look like the G&P nozzle rides lower, but in a wierd way, do you have a pic of the G&P nozzle / gas route mating face? I would stick to TM gas routes, put a request in with Impulse101 and they will order in.
  10. They clearly put that amount of support inside as the plastic is not a strong as wood in a drop or similar, that and they prob wanted a bit more weight out back ??‍♂️
  11. You going to print one that covers the whole of the top of the mag?
  12. Not with a PC on
  13. No i think the truth is you roll around on them with love like a dog in fox poop ?
  14. Isn’t that like a £1000 in magazines!?!!
  15. @Bada Bing With the mags in mind, have you tried swapping the gas fill valve between one of your good ones and the ‘duff’ one? Ive noticed this on MWS mags, there is sometimes a lemon fill valve and it won’t take gas on. Would be curious to see what you find
  16. I bet that was quite insightful handling all the de-act real steels. There are so many variations in AK manufacturing locations and time periods, the end product variables are small but many
  17. Yup that’ll do it, I can see you have a two tone couch too!
  18. Yes i was perplexed by the Coyote brown shorts and green legs?? Trick of the camera?
  19. I think the whole wanting steel externals is quantified when you look at the cost of the RIF vs others. The MWS fitted the bill as it’s alloy anyway in RS, but you also got Cerakote and that nice hop design, which given the amount of fresh air around an AK hop unit there is no reason the couldn’t have done. I mean I’ve machined an MWS hop unit into my GHK 74. Yes TMs are renowned for performing and reliability but in this day and age, and with these GBBRs averaging £500 you want a proper replica with proper materials. Just like MWS owners, no one really wants to dump £££ on a 416 kit. And I couldn’t agree more with whoever said they should have made the 74 series. Also really surprised they shortened the barrel to 200 when it’s days long outside!!
  20. Silicone isn’t for metal to metal period. You always need a lithium/moly/gun oil for metal on metal. Silicone oil is for certain O rings and seals only.
  21. G&P, I’ve got 3 I don’t need here brand new.
  22. As @SSPKali has said, over time the part work harden and develop little burrs as material gets pushed around. A strip down, file / deburr / wet sand, clean and re lube are the answer. This will leave you with a better than new action. The standard trigger can be pretty nice.
  23. The standard plastic buffer is perfectly fine, you just need a stronger buffer spring to manage the forces. A metal buffer is not good for anything long term.
  24. Hi! Sadly not on the immediate horizon AFAIK, yes those spendy kits are the option. On the plus side you dont need to spend much if anything on the stock gun to have a great performer! If you are already into GBBRs then you have nothing to lose, if this is your first foray into GBBR then you may want to try it out as an M4A1 first before you blow a load on a 416 kit.
  25. I can’t use an AEG these days unless it has a binary trigger and doesn’t sound like a flat cordless drill
