  1. I'll preface this by saying... I know F/A about ANYTHING but it sounds like the nozzle is sticking preventing a good air seal, possibly too much grease going where it shouldn't be? give it another clean.
  2. Keep it handy & if your barrel drops off... you'll know where it came from.
  3. I recommend a paddle at Portobello beach... it'll put hairs on your chest.;) In all seriousness tho, visit the Royal Armouries in Leeds, Glencoe is a good shout & if you go that far then go further and visit Fort George near Inverness, it only has a small museum but the scale of the fort & engineering involved is incredible (only visit if you're going to be nearby tho). Lots of things to see in Scotland but you'll spend a lot of time just driving to see them.
  4. Will it take other mags or just the one's supplied?
  5. To GBBR or not to GBBR that is the question...
  6. There may be a specific medic pouch for the pattern 58, over the past few years I've added rifle grenade pouches & an slr loop pouch to my collection. I can imagine water bottle pouches or respirator bag being utisilised as medic pouch/bag tho.
  7. I've had mixed experiences with them, some to my benefit & some to piss me off, not enough to stop me buying from them if they have what I want but enough for me to kick myself when I place an order before I remember the bad experiences. The bad/worst... they sent me an L85A3 that was obviously a return with damage. They never replied to my emails about the damage. The good... they sent my the wrong thing which I sold for a nice profit.
  8. I'll be the big fat lad that makes you think... Where the hell did he get kit to wear? or That jacket's a bit tight.
  9. Fair enough, are you planning on carrying a heap of mags? Water bottle pouches are under £7 each on fleabay or £4.99 from https://www.surplusandoutdoors.com/water-bottle-pouch-58-pattern-232862.html, only realised one of my sets is missing a bottle pouch so went looking. You'll find pistol pouches from about £20 each but that's the cheapest I've seen. https://elliottmilitary.com/product/58-pat-pistol-holster/
  10. What makes this different to the A2's that are available please? Most of (if not all) the A2's I've looked at are full auto, I've found an A2 kit with a lower with the correct markings for a burst mode but nothing else.
  11. I really should try out Area66, only 30 mins from me.
  12. Why have you moved the kidney pouches? Taking the kidney pouches away from the back straps will just make them all floppy ( a revision from earlier versions was made so they could use the back straps for added support). A revised set up from the first gulf war seemed to be no kidney pouches but 4 water bottle pouches attached to the rear with the two ammo pouches in the usual places.
  13. I seem to have fallen down an AR15 rabbit hole, think a URG-i will be next unless an L85A2 pops into the classifieds.
  14. There's one for sale in the classifieds.
  15. What issues are you having? the odd bit of kit can be difficult to souce but not impossible. Rifleman Moore on YT has a few video's posted about pattern 58 set up's, they weren't really meant as a modular bit of kit short of some units doing their own thing.
  16. Aye, but the others in his pouches look just like my one Just as well I'm not a stitch counter lol.
  17. The final part of my Garand Thumb Mk18 Mod0 build arrived today...
  18. Well a massive box was waiting for me when I got in from work today... I ordered the xl size in the hope that I wouldn't need to remove accessories (I'm lazy), I reckon I'm more likely to take my favourite pews to any game days which basically means a Scar-H or L & an AR15 derivative. My Mk18 is the longest AR I'm likely to take but I'll be measuring up for the XM177 too before I pick any foam out, all attachments will stay attached & all mags will be in my various sets of webbing so no need to fill gaps in the case (or add extra weight). While I was waiting on the postie I hollowed out the L85A3 case I had to fit some foam into it, prob a daft idea seeing as the case had formed spaces for an SA80 & seperate accessories but as I said earlier... I'm lazy & didn't want to remove accessories if I could help it. I'll probably buy some wave foam to do it properly but I had tonnes of padding foam in my shed & the wave foam that I do have is far too thick for this case.
  19. Got an extension ordered, my only concern is the lack of bayonet catch but won't loose any sleep over it.
  20. I've got a couple of G36C's & swopped the handguards around recently, one took a litte fettling to get the pin through one but very little. I've had this UGL on a G36C & a MG36(K) with no issues and it felt solid on both(but heavy). It'll never be used in game because it's a wallhanger but I know the weight would piss me off before I'd even left the safe zone. But... On a possitive note, swopping handguards about for these pics made me realise I only needed a barrel extension (fnar) to turn one of my G36C's into a K(ish).
  21. Feels solid, only on a G36C at the moment. They have a bit of heft to them, feels much heavier than the 320 I have for my L85A3 but it's a more modern design, more to do with the attached handguards probably. I have a G36K set up as an MG36 with a bipod, I'll pop the ugl on it to see how it looks but prefer it as an MG36.
  22. Just remember the internal sizes will be different
  23. large seems to be just under 100cm, I went for the xl so I can comfortably fit 2 pews in it.
