  1. On the face of it, the pricing doesn't show anything alarming though more details on the scope the SSX303 rifle are needed and for the seller to confirm its mags have no leaks. Dave's Custom Airsoft products usually have a large margin added in their pricing but used, that price genuinely doesn't sound bad. Has the seller/trader got photos of the guns they're selling and videos to confirm they're working? Even if it's a face-to-face trade, you should get some peace of mind in advance.
  2. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/electric-powered_1/electric-powered-ar-15-battery-and-magazine-included_i86164 The seller hasn't disclosed the brand and model of the AR-15/M4 replica so how do we know it's worth £115, especially when it's two-tone?
  3. "Better" is hugely subjective and depends on environmental factors. Did you "hear" VFC is better from a staunch VFC user or somebody with an axe to grind with TM? I don't think you can go wrong with either platform, certainly with VFC made in the last few years. VFC has more recoil out of the box generally and I'd say they feel more substantial. They also lift heavier BBs over a greater distance out of the box but swapping hop buckings and nubs is a simple enough job on the MWS platform so that benefit is negated quickly. Cold resistance is relative. There are ways to combat it that make VFC vs MWS a much more nuanced discussion. You can use lighter bolts/BCGs along with using red or even black gas and both will still cycle reliably when it's near or below freezing.
  4. Welcome. Always glad to see new players.
  5. Sorry you feel that way but as Austeyr said, you need to engage yourself beyond throwing a hissy fit because you didn't get a reply. I like to think I'm quite well versed on the P90 AEG platform and am happy to offer advice or talk about my own experience with rebuilding gearboxes, choosing replacement parts or upgrades, fitting mosfets, etc. I'm getting more clued up on the MWS platform and am happy to share knowledge and experience, even with those way more knowledgeable than me. Unfortunately, with the SVD platform, I'm neither qualified nor competent to offer any advice on it, let alone on aftermarket parts, so I stay out of that lane. Replying with "sorry, I don't know" helps nobody. I'd imagine that reason was prevalent among others who saw your other posts this year and didn't reply. Just because people don't reply to a topic, it doesn't mean there's a cult, nor does it mean the OP is unwelcome. It's great when people here do happen to know about certain niches and they share that knowledge. However, when you conjure up an expectation in your head that strangers will have such knowledge on niche topics, that's on you. If you do reach out to the HRC Discord server, it's probably best not to throw any tantrums there either if you don't get your way.
  6. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007617461268.html That might be suitable. 3.5mm is harder to find but sometimes you may have to go a few listings.
  7. Yes, the Double Bell version of the P90 can run very well with the Perun mosfet. The Cybergun (made by Cyma), Double Bell, Cyma and JG versions are heavily based on the original TM P90. Out of the box, the trigger system, especially on single shot, can be very problematic as the trigger bar gives an inconsistent movement between the trigger and the electrical contacts so using the Perun mosfet bypasses that trigger bar and the electrical contacts pushed by the bar. The Krytac P90 uses its own mosfet but it's not as versatile as the one from Perun. In my experience, the P90 AEG (regardless of brand) is also best paired with the 64-round mid-cap mags (TM, Double Bell or Cyma are fine) or the Krytac mid-cap mags that can be switched between 50 and 200 rounds though they are almost as hard to find as rocking horse poo. The high-cap P90 mags are possibly the worst of any airsoft platform as they don't feed consistently and they need to be removed to be rewound for the next batch of rounds. The MP5 SD6, A5 or K are all good shouts for CQB. I don't have any specific hangups on the platform or mags apart from making sure mags from a different vendor to the RIF fit securely in the magwell and feed.
  8. Ignoring Ares' less than desirable repuation, it's cheap because the HPA engine & gearbox assembly were manufactured to keep costs down so you lose a few features compared what you'd usually see from Wolverine or PolarStar. It uses a low-cost solenoid and its delay can't be adjusted so your firing rate is capped (no wanker guns on a budget). You can't fine tune the volume of air inside your inner barrel to suit its length either (fixed dwell) so you have to rely solely on the pressure from the regulator to control the muzzle energy while being conscious of joule creep. A really good write up was done before so it may be worth a read.
  9. Are you talking about just the switch pad and not the cover? Ali Express might have something similar as it sells switch pads individually, both for 2.5mm and 3.5mm.
  10. In all likelihood you'll have to search further afield of Greater London. With a premium for leasing/buying property or suitable woodland, running an airsoft site in London isn't sustainable. Bunker 51 closed down a few months ago. It's worth checking this site out: https://playairsoft.uk/map It's not an exhaustive list but there are options just outside Greater London accessible by public transport and a shortish taxi journey away (I assume you don't drive).
  11. I don't know if it was listed here too but it was mentioned on Used Airsoft within the last couple of pages.
  12. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/bone-yard/we-m16_i85704 Seller admits he was fleeced by the previous seller but other than the trigger box problems, he hasn't disclosed the "missing or incorrect" parts (other than the missing flash hider) so how can we know it's worth £200 as a boneyard item, GBBR or not?
  13. I kit some of my RIFs with a laser purely for looks but I don't use it simply for the concern of accidentally catching someone in the eyes. I might be careful with my aim but people can inadvertently move into my line of sight. Most of the sites I've played at have a rule of aiming down the sights (i.e. no shooting from the hip unless you're using something like a minigun but that's a niche itself) so whether you've got irons or a red (or green) dot/reticle, lasers are largely redundant.
  14. And now the listing's gone again. I don't think it's a coincidence that the listings disappear after they're called out here. 😁
  15. He still doesn't know what's inside it when he relisted https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/rif-s/gas-powered_1/hk-416-delta-custom_i85516
  16. Are you specifically after the Cybergun version of the P90 or will any clone of the original TM P90 be suitable? You can also search for the D90 (licensing issues on the P90 name) and save yourself a few pennies if you don't need anything officially licensed. https://www.airsoftdb.com/search/?q=D90&r=uk&s=t
  17. I don't expect a listing to be War and Peace but surely being more transparent about your RIF is the best policy?
  18. https://www.usedairsoft.co.uk/two-tone-replicas/gas-powered_2/we-hi-capa-5-2k-6mm-airsoft-gas-blow-back-pistol-gbb_i85401 With peace of mind and no two-tone, you can get the RIF for just £15 more. https://www.socomtactical.net/collections/airsoft-pistols/products/we-hi-cappa-5-2k-gbb-pistol
  19. Stuff that's great for speedy bois includes being able to hero dive. It's not just against the rules, the floor had been made slightly more abrasive to make it much more difficult. Lots of hard walls make it an unwise choice also unless you want to risk a concussion. The idea that tactics can't be applied is utterly untrue - you just have to change the tactics that didn't work before or regroup and strategise for the next game. As kindly as I can say this, you may need to think outside of Blackstone. The range is part of the White Sphere shop as much as it is part of Blackstone CQB and offers people an opportunity to test and tweak their RIFs and accessories on off days between games when their living arrangements may not give them that luxury. RIFT Airsoft currently runs at two outdoor sites so having a ~20m indoor range helps somewhat. Spawn and respawn points have been mixed up on occasion, both of which were on the ground floor and objectives were partly on the first floor. Tweaks in both the build/maintenance of the site and the game modes have been made over the past few months. They've also done pistol & shotgun/pistol only days once a month. On those days, the use of drum and adapted rifle/SMG mags with pistols was prohibited. I can't say I agree with the idea of allocating one set of stairs to each side for a game as you risk adding to choke points whether it's a team being reluctant to push forward or a dead player being delayed in returning to respawn. Sometimes a dead player needs a second option for stairs so they don't hinder their living teammates. My intention wasn't to rubbish your experience, it's just that some comments about the site have become outdated as things have changed since very early this year.
  20. For the sake of those who haven't played there, it's worth pointing out that there are 4 sets of differing stairs but yes, I agree that they can become choke points. With the spiral staircase, I have seen disputes settled quite reasonably with "Rock Paper Scissors". Whether it was "almost designed for speedy bois" is debatable. I would have thought a large open area with small barricades is more akin to a speedy boi arena. Some objectives are time and speed-sensitive in terms of who can reach a point first but is that fundamentally different from a traditional oudoor skirmish, going to points on the map albeit over a larger area? I don't think a site designed for speedy bois is going to lend well to training for blue light services simulating real-life urban environments either. Just my two cents.
  21. That's some attention to detail in replicating the gun in the film. I don't seem to recall John Wick's upper back tattoo being painted or scribed on to his KSG. 🤔 Does the seller think spaffing John Wick's name in the listing is more important that pointing out of it was actually made by Tokyo Marui or Double Eagle?
  22. I got a lightweight MWS bolt/carrier group for my Noveske N4 in anticipation of the winter, before the rat race starts with people doing the same.
  23. The rules on allowing BFGs/IGs work on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the number of players, the balance of players on red vs blue team with grenades, specific objections or the type of game being played, etc, can see them being prohibited.
  24. Yeah, you'd hope it's modular enough that the receivers have plentiful spares, assuming the upper and lower are the only parts damaged!
  25. How do you define "competitive"? I was able to outplay opponents running guns from £800 to £1000 while I had a ~£110 P90 until I decided to spend more money sorting out its trigger. Is there one feature you're dead set on having that is present in one gun but absent in the other? That may be your deciding factor. Reliability is relative. Every brand of skirmishable AEGs does its odd bad apple. I'd say reliability is much better today than when I first played donkey's years ago. I reckon that's owed greatly to the market being so competitive that even entry to mid-level products are made to higher standards and have features you'd only have seen toward the top end of the market.
