  1. It's good to see someone who still repairs small mechanisms and even better, thi gs that are designed not to be fixed. I can't play shit when it comes to musical instruments LOL. The boy however could be great if he ever practiced. He has just been in a showcase for his drumming academy, but I've not heard his drum kit at home in months. Yet he knocked play g Danger Zone out of the park after only playing for 30 minutes a week since seei g the new Top Gun. Genre wise we both like loads of things from Babymetal to Cascada with trips over to Ramstein and Artic Monkeys. His current favourite track is Cumberland Gap. At the moment I'm revisiting my Happy Hard-core days from the 90's. A shame I can't find my old tapes 😢. Thanks for the compliments on the guitar stand though. That kind of thing is profitable if you can find an outlet for it, or have access to people who are interested in buying things made to measure. I have customers (as a London plumber) who do very nicely making furniture, jewellery and musical instruments. Some got there through hard work and luck. Others by knowing the right people. If I ever do this for money, it will be after I've moved to Japan and can play on the eccentric foreigner thing and have no immediate worries about money and mortgages 😂😂
  2. Bloody Nora... Drove past it twice today goi g clay shooting at Horam. LOL
  3. Not exactly a day of airsofting, but went big-boy pew pewing with the boy and my dad. Stumbletts Clay shoot near Horam. Been a couple of years since I last did this and was atrocious. The lad however.... Certainly kicked my arse with some pretty tricky stands. I remember wheb the place just opened up and was literally a shed and a couple of knocked together leaning posts for your guns. Over the years it's been improved and now the open area is like a sodding golf course. The lad's first time out with a 12-bore too. It's been poachers guns and 410 cartridges upto now. To top it all off we had a layover on the way home to pick up yet another pew pew. 20220717_101401.mp4
  4. Is it any good? Hailsham is 15 minutes away from where my dad lives. Not sure my step mum would be too happy though. Being from a massive farming family she kinda thinks this whole thing is a bit silly... Which I told her is the point. LOL.
  5. My 13 year old loves the game and is the whole reason I'm in it now. Welcome to the money pit.
  6. All joints soldered and shined 😎 We did stick some pads made of sheet class O insulation on the contact points and along the runners at the bottom. This copper fixtures and furniture thing is something I might do when I retire and have nothing to do LOL. One customer did offer me £200 to make one for her daughter - but it took most of the day plus the copper so worth about 3 times that whilst I'm still working properly.
  7. Not really the creative type... But I made this for the boy: Gave it 6 coats of clear coat so it is still pretty shiny even now, nearly 3 years later. Does the guitar ever get played? Does it fuck.
  8. Ironically it's plumbed into the river Thames....so it's isn't even sourcing anything from the ground. A flipping liberty if you ask me. 😁
  9. Actually.... It was a ground source heat pump. There wasn't any boiler on the place. 🤔🤣
  10. Had to sort out this gem the other day: British Gas left me this abortion to sort out once: Fuck Knows What this dude was smoking: Shit like this is why we charge by the hour 🤣🤣🤣🤣 This was another fun one: An electrician was responsible for this lot: The challenge was I had to add more shit into it. Had to take a run up to get the cover back on LMAO

  12. Logistics are demonstrably not too much of an issue as demonstrated by Spec Ops. Where laziness is an issue I can't argue against is that asshats leave the bottles for staff or we'll minded individuals to pick up. Plus ensuring recycling plastic bottles. I just have a thing about drinking water being available. This isn't restricted to the world of airsoft 👍. If you operate a business where fluid intake is essential to the safety of your punters, provision should be made. But of course I'm British, so I can happily stick to grumbling online and sort myself out.
  13. Of the three sites I've been to there's been either a van, or pickup truck there with general stock and materials being transported to site. Wouldn't be hard to get the stuff delivered to wherever the rest of the stock is taken. 😜
  14. There we go - I recognise you now LOL Now stop posting links to things !!!
  15. Furry Muff. Good to know. 👍
  16. I thought Cage Soft used UPS when I sent my AEG is for some upgrades.
  17. 15p for a 500ml bottle of Costco mineral water isn't going to break the bank, especially when you can get a pallet with free delivery - these are customer facing businesses, and while personal responsibility is a thing... Why not make sure there is drinking water available for free - or cost? Especially in this weather. Bottles can split (as happened to us last time), get forgotten, knocked over. All sorts of reasons other than lazy for someone to not have water with them. One of the reasons I took extras yesterday. 😋
  18. Dunno why I thanked you for finding yet more ways to spend my money. Remind me next time we're at Spec Ops (and I've worked out which face to put to the name). LOL.
  19. Thanks for that... I wish it was something Browsers could force, but I guess websites are too varied nowadays ( I remember the good old days of HTML 3.0). Apart from eye strain, it just looks much better 90% of the time,
  20. Same at Special Ops. That's possibly my main criticism of AWA as they don't have mains drinking water to the site. Really they should have slabs of water bottles for people. However, people are stupid..... And at Spec Ops there's always a shit tonne of half empty bottles strew about the area for some poor sod to pick up.
