Pretty sure that is it. There are buses up and down that way.... My mum and uncle live in Barton and he used to get the bus to and from Luton all the time.

Specna SA-C12 CORE not feeding. Now gearbox rebuild.

Well I think it doesn't sound too bad... -
My brother was seeing a German girl, and I was already married to my Japanese wife. My dad, jokingly to be fair, blurted out or afternoon "for God's sake will I get a daughter in law but from the axis of evil". Thankfully both ladies were out of earshot. 😅

It's 12 o'clock somewhere 😁

Specna SA-C12 CORE not feeding. Now gearbox rebuild.
Dan Robinson replied to Dan Robinson's topic in Electric Guns
Little update, Cage were running silent so I bought my own set of 16:1 gears and had a crack at rebuilding and shimming. Took a few goes and lots of YouTube but I think I finally cracked it (so to speak). I don't know what I did differently so can only assume the missing teeth on the old cogs were the reason for gearbox locking. Pew number one is now back together and cycling nicely with a decent punch of air coming out of the barrel. Can't really test it properly though at this time of night. Plus I should really put some grease on the insides. But it appears that I have graduated to Junior Tech First Class. Have some proper silicone grease coming tomorrow so hopefully will get it rebuilt following a successful garden test in good time for next game day on the 19th. Will upload a video for you guys to assess the sound as best as can be done to see how it is.... I still have trouble discerning what's acceptable and what is good when it comes to these cheaper gearboxes. I'm still envious of some guns who sound like the gears are running on silk, but I'm guessing they're 4 figure pews.. -
I've an Austrian customer this week, but has a broad cockney accent, so I didn't Cotton until his Missus told me. She had a chuckle when I said I'd avoid putting any brass bands or marching music on the radio. 🤪

Couple of us will be at Rift next weekend. Maybe see you there.

Thanks for the information chaps - the more you know 😁 I didn't realise Germany was so strict. At half a joule it hardly seems worth the effort. I can flick snot with more gusto than that LOL.

Could you take the spring out so it is effectively 0J and send them on so their not on your person? Probably not worth the risk I suppose

Think you forgot the linky dude.

Anyone know where i can get one of these holsters:
Dan Robinson replied to Dan Robinson's topic in Guns, Gear & Loadouts
It was a bit lower down first, and that was a pain. Where it is now I can reach fairly easily so the only real difficiency is the securing strap. I was pondering the leg holster this gameday when I realised how many of the Call of Duty slides for cover I was doing. Which was surprisingly high considering how fecked both my knees are 😢. The whole Auto 9 thing is a light hearted backup for my DMR, as the Baby Badger is viable for that roll too. Not with the way gas pews are behaving in this weather 😛. Point taken though. Will come with practice. It'll have to... The safety mechanism is utter pants.... Nearly took out several of my office monitors the other week when I was being careless with maintenance gas. 😱😱😱 Also considering adding a collar and Brassards to the plate carrier too. -
I alarmed at the number of obscure geek/coding/networking and military references I'm getting from various posts and signatures.... And I'm just a plumber.

Well the Patrolbase scabard has landed and I think might work quite well if I can swap the catch for velcro or similar. Lucky I'm a fat bastard so plenty of real estate to house both a Camelbak and the scabbard. Will take a bit of practice, but I just need to pad out the bottom couple of inches. What say you peeps? -
SE Tour Review: RIFT The Ridge (Bedfordshire)
Dan Robinson replied to Asomodai's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
The boy has confirmed he wants to go too as a friend of his is goi lng as well. Plans are now afoot to get our operative codenamed "little nanny" to Air drop lunch from her house. As it's a more open site, I'm wondering if one of my drones could be brought in for aerial surveillance 🤣🤣🤣🤣 -
Please tell us the round counter is functional? 😁

SE Tour Review: RIFT The Ridge (Bedfordshire)
Dan Robinson replied to Asomodai's topic in Skirmish Sites, Stories & Reviews
Just checking in really as its 15 minutes from my gaff and my mum can drop lunch round as she lives at the bottom of the hill LOL. This place is re-opening tis week so considering it as an occasional foray as the steep hills are less appealing as the short drive. Apparently RIFT have a two day event coming up too - has anyone heard about it? -

Thanks for that. Next order I place there I'll get those. My next learning target is to figure out what I'm doing that results in the gearbox locking when I reassemble it. I did it to my Specna, now this one. Last tech to work on it seems to have done a tidy job. No excess greese, although the red wire is mighty close to the motor shaft. When I can reassemble these things reliably, I might drill the casing and reroute it. Or perhaps use a slightly thinner guage wire. Not sure what mosfet has been fitted either. Has the label "AAUG09". So will hit Google while I have a relaxing bubble bath 😁

My only criticism, and this seems common to all sites I've been to, is the fannying around in the morning. IMHO gameday always seems to be 45 minutes later starting than it should. -
Yes I had for that one. Just got it out now. Needed a bit of brute force and ignorance. All the gears are fine, so I think the nasty noises were just the engagement height. Time to reassemble and battle that damn anti reversal lever. I think I kept the shims in the right places.
-
Now I have the gearbox loose in the reciever, but can I get the bugger out? Can I fck. 😒
-
Have tried an assortment of those and no dice. Surprisingly hard metal for something that scratches so easily. Merged edit. Figured it out..... Bolt catch is held in with a pin, then the mag release needs pushing all the way in so you can unscrew the arm on the other side. Guess it's marginally better than a tiny little screw to strip.
-
Trying to get this out. It looks like it's been stripped in the picture, but in reality, it's equally unlikely to have had a head. Any idea how get this off? Gun is a Devgru M16 DG4 A2. Tah in advance.

Fun day at AWA, bit chilly, plenty of puffer jacket clad rentals not taking hits, another cluster fuck with guns not working.... But was genuinely fun. Touching cloth to start with (aka capture the flag) our team was trounced by time, but at least I kept up my average by being the one to get the flag for our team. Some how managed to bend my thumb back on itself too which is now v sore. The boy's M16 shit itself on chrono, so we have decided to make it my "learning to tech" gun. My newly returned (as in yesterday) Rapax M7 managed two shots on chrono before the gearbox locked up. So we were stuck my new Honey Badger and the boy's L85. The latter performed nicely. The Honey Badger was great apart from being incredibly fussy about the spring tension in the mags. Several occasions saw me lying in my back behind a tree taking fire on all sides trying to ferry bbs from a duff mag to the least fussy. Best game of the day was a rolling retreat, then counter attack, but sadly I got caught short with the battery dying at the end of the first round necessitating a 20 minute round trip to the safe zone. The Badger's accuracy is a little sporadic but then it was never going to be a sniper. Got more than my fair share of kills when I found a nice hidey hole behind a tree Marshalls were fair and kept things flowing once everyone was out of the safe zone. For some reason, two dappy old codgers decided to meander through the game area on their bikes at one point. Last time out it was a dog walker. You'd think the sound of explosions and 70 adults dressed in military gear brandishing assorted automatic weapons would have been a deterrent. But hey ho 🤣 -
Double Eagle M904g – Aka the Original Q Honey Badger

Officially it is Blue Bell something or other, but with Carlos being ex military..... I have my doubts. 🤪 Distance to church is a toughy because of the hill, I'd guess 50 to 60 metres, but certainly a good thing to test because it was always out of practical range of my Specna, and I was amazed I got that YouTube guy the other week with my SVU at a similar distance as I had to aim miles above your heads. Airsoft metres are indeed a very fluid thing. Having played at AWA though, I forget how relatively compact Spec Ops is. I'm tempted to bring my thermal imaging camera too, but I seem to have fried the charger in my van's inverter. Damn those pesky Ghillies
