I have a few thoughts on how to remount it, but I want to avoid drilling/permanently cementing the housing if possible. Bipod and first-draft scope coming tomorrow for the Rapax so looking forward to having a tinker in the garden before the boy comes back from Army Cadet camp and sees what I've been up to on my weekend alone LOL. Shot the side of a hot water tank with it today and am very glad we have MED on sites... 'cos that made one hell of a dent in what was quite a thick sheet of copper. Don't have anything I would risk filming a game with, but got some pretty good pictures from the Halloween shoot at AWA:

Hi folks, been a busy few months with work and life, but still been pewing regularly. Had a bit of a disaster with my SVU, snapping off the little bit of metal that holds the scope on. Happened when placing it down mid game to switch to my M4 - which had managed to slip its outer barrely a suppressor without me noticing either (thankfully found those on the walk back to the safe zone). So the SVU needs either a new receiver - which I can't find anywhere; or machining a new bit of metal that will enable the scope to grip the gun a bit lower down. Gggrrr..... By way of therapy, I bought myself a new Pew in the form of a Rapax XXI M7. But of course it doesn't end there..... New battery needed, extra mags needed, new scope (although oddly my shitty ACOG seems to work pretty well with it), bi-pod, Mlocks and mag pouches. God dammit! Only meant to spend £300..... Now I'm over £700 in the hole and still need to fix the SVU ?????? SWMBO is going to go nuts when she comes home in hte New Year to discover all these new guns (the Boy bought himself an L85 and complete Afghan loadout) Tried a couple of new sites - Skirmish Wycombe and Skirmish Billericay, both a good laugh, but a bit of a trek. Brother and Nephew are coming to a day next week at AWA which should be a laugh. Nephew shot my lad in the eye the other day with a Nerf gun, so he is out for revenge.... My bother is not the most outdoorsy of people, but gives everything 110% so that should be a laugh. Anyway - hope you're all keeping well?

You've got a bit of a "Watkin Tudor Jones Jr" vibe going on in that last one. ?

Strikes me that much of the Airsoft selling machine has a very odd take on Distance Selling regulations and Consumer Rights. -

Been a long time since I've been on two wheels and they were always Japanese. That does look pretty though. Hope you enjoy it. ?

Just remember... In the winter well all be moaning about the cold, the wet, and how our gas pews don't shoot further than dog can piss. Hydration is the key.

Reminds me of the time that SWMBO left the boy unattended with a catering sized tub of E45 cream..... Have a picture somewhere LOL Yep.... Looks about right ??? -
It's a proper one bought for the job. It came with a couple of replacement protectors, but to buy replacements costs more than the entire sheet of lexan, which can be used for multiple purposes. I've bought lexan sheets on ebay and cut my own lens protectors for the scopes I and the boy have. Doesn't take long. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164352705597?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=I4aYgJ4XT5K&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=vIhnknhNSsO&var=463965821066&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY I file them so that they have a good friction fit. I've had direct hits to them with no damage to either the lexan or the lens. Once was whilst I was looking down the scope.... Which was a bit of a shock. I have bought a pop up one for my red dots, but when that gets damaged I can make a lexan replacement to go in the holder.

By definition you're not going to achieve this. -

It's good to see someone who still repairs small mechanisms and even better, thi gs that are designed not to be fixed. I can't play shit when it comes to musical instruments LOL. The boy however could be great if he ever practiced. He has just been in a showcase for his drumming academy, but I've not heard his drum kit at home in months. Yet he knocked play g Danger Zone out of the park after only playing for 30 minutes a week since seei g the new Top Gun. Genre wise we both like loads of things from Babymetal to Cascada with trips over to Ramstein and Artic Monkeys. His current favourite track is Cumberland Gap. At the moment I'm revisiting my Happy Hard-core days from the 90's. A shame I can't find my old tapes ?. Thanks for the compliments on the guitar stand though. That kind of thing is profitable if you can find an outlet for it, or have access to people who are interested in buying things made to measure. I have customers (as a London plumber) who do very nicely making furniture, jewellery and musical instruments. Some got there through hard work and luck. Others by knowing the right people. If I ever do this for money, it will be after I've moved to Japan and can play on the eccentric foreigner thing and have no immediate worries about money and mortgages ?? -
Bloody Nora... Drove past it twice today goi g clay shooting at Horam. LOL

Not exactly a day of airsofting, but went big-boy pew pewing with the boy and my dad. Stumbletts Clay shoot near Horam. Been a couple of years since I last did this and was atrocious. The lad however.... Certainly kicked my arse with some pretty tricky stands. I remember wheb the place just opened up and was literally a shed and a couple of knocked together leaning posts for your guns. Over the years it's been improved and now the open area is like a sodding golf course. The lad's first time out with a 12-bore too. It's been poachers guns and 410 cartridges upto now. To top it all off we had a layover on the way home to pick up yet another pew pew. 20220717_101401.mp4 -
Is it any good? Hailsham is 15 minutes away from where my dad lives. Not sure my step mum would be too happy though. Being from a massive farming family she kinda thinks this whole thing is a bit silly... Which I told her is the point. LOL.

My 13 year old loves the game and is the whole reason I'm in it now. Welcome to the money pit.
